K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2010 K1 Filers	OMG Yankee Love, believe me--I've been THAT girl at the airport, so hysterical, I could barely hand my passport to the ticket agent. It's so horrible to say goodbye to my other half. The things that have always helped us, and I've been passing along this advice to my friends who are about to be in a long distance relationship, that we don't talk about the fact that one of us is leaving in 3 weeks or 10 days or hwatever it is, we don't talk about it at all until an hour before we leave for the airport bc we cannot waste time being upset and we like to use every second to have fun and not stress out. I remember the first time we had to be apart..when he left the States for the first time, after we met and fell in love and were together for 6 months, I was so hysterical and I couldn't get out of bed for a month then, I was just so depressed. So it's definitely gotten better that we're so beyond that now and although its still so upsetting, and I cry like crazy at the airport (and if my love lets his guard down for a second, you can bet his tears start flowing right along with me). One time, I was crying so badly and really really didn't want to leave yet and I was crying and waving and blowing kisses after I passed through security already (this was in Zagreb) and it's a small airport so there are just little barrier fences separating the security check so I ran back out after passing through security to give him one last kiss and security freaked out because they thought Tomislav was trying to give me something to take on the plane. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2010 K1 Filers	Sorry for the delay in reply. I did not see the notice of your comment. Anyway, we both have predicted NOA2 dates now. As seems to be the case right now at least, VSC is about one month ahead of CSC. But CSC seems to be picking up. I am happy about that, even if I would still like them to speed up more... As for the delay in the predicted date for you, I think it was just that your NOA1 date was on the later end of September. The VJ system seems to need some time before it will predict an NOA2 date. I do not think it was because of Croatia. I don't think VJ takes the country into effect at the USCIS stage. Good luck, and best wishes for a speedy process! Thanks for the reply! It ended up being my error actually, I had filled in my timeline wrong..duh! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2010 K1 Filers	Hey there Sep Filiers!! I want to wish all of you the best of luck!! My fiancee and I are Feb 2010 filiers. Keep in mind that this is going to be a long process. It will have it's up's and down's. But stay the course, and it will all work out. Just a few tips. Read, re-read, and read everything in each packet again. Make sure you follow all the instructions on the USCIS website to the "T". Make sure everything is signed. Make copies of EVERYTHING and keep them near by. Take at least 15 passport photos. We were all on a first name basis with the people at our local photo shop (that how namy times we had to go back and take more). Make sure your passports are all up to date and not about to expire (if within 6 months, re-new now). Make sure you have all the money ahead of time for all fees. My fiancee over-looked the final fee that was due at the American Embassy in Toronto. Almost had a major disaster. Thank God for Western Union. But save yourself the drama and have it ready ahead of time. There are going to be long periods of not hearing anything from either USCIS and the embassy. Rest assured, they will send you all the information that you will need. Once again, best of luck to you all. We have the same NOA1 date (September 8, 2010), but because CSC has so little recent data, VJ's "prediction" on my timeline is as follows: "There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-129f will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals." Even so, I don't know how much weight to put in these predicted dates anyway. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It seems a difficult thing to predict, especially this early. By the way, I also had to correct my fiancee's Country of Birth on my NOA1. Although I had listed it on the application, the NOA1 said "Unknown." They issued me a new receipt, but the new receipt did not even list "Country of Birth." Moreover, my fiancee switched apartments, so I also had to update her address recently. I was also told that neither correction/update would delay the time for processing the application. I'm with you--I certainly hope so. I don't have a predicted date either although I'm with VSC. It says the same thing about their not being enough data to accurately approximate a date. I'm originally from California but I live in Boston now so I sometimes get confused regarding seasons. February is definitely still winter for most people so I don't really know why I said spring! Anyway, I'm definitely trying to stay positive! I'm hoping they'll get through the July filers this month, do August filers in November and then you guys will be right around the corner in December. I am a tiny bit apprehensive though about the holidays because I can only imagine things probably slow way down around then. Hopefully it won't do too much damage though. It's a compromise since he's moving here and everything and he has a rather large family who definitely wouldn't travel to the States for the wedding here. Also my family is orginially from Poland so all of my relatives are still in Poland besides my parents and sister who are here. I know which church I want to get married in, I just hope we'll be able to find a bilingual priest because my Croatian is not good enough to say much past "I do!" As for keeping busy, I definitely have way too much going on now because I work full time (at a translation company, which is actually where I am right now and I should be working but I couldn't help but sneak over here and see what's being talked about!) and I'm also in grad school so I have classes 3 nights a week so my time without my Tomislav is going by rather quickly so to say but much more lonely these days than it was when I was less busy. When I was still working part-time (before we were enaged), even though I was lonely and sad and missed him so much and I would cry a lot more because I would just sit at home and I wouldn't even want to go out too much because I just missed him like crazy. But the plus side was that we got to see eachother on Skype everyday which was awesome and totally made everyday worth it. But now with work and school and the time difference, we have our weekly Tuesday date where I rush home from work early (and I don't have class) and he stays up late so we can Skype. Weekends are rough too because we're both always all over the place. I just cant wait for our real lives to start and we have that moment of relief where we can sit on the couch and just sigh and know that we don't have to be apart any longer! No joke, and an experience I will never want to have again. Also wont have to, cuz I got threatened not to enter the US again until I have a granted K1. Funny Story is, with the first Officer everything went fine: OF:Business or Pleasure? me: pleasure, but not really cuz my grandmother is really sick and I hope to see her alive. OF: I am sorry to hear that, have you been here before? Me:yes OF:When was the Last time ? Me: A month ago and I didnt plan to come back this quick but this is a special circumstance OF: Stamps and Nods. ho I continue to get my luggage,find it right away and wanna proceed through Custom Declartion when some one decided of them, cuz they must have been bored, cuz I was one of the last persons to clear immigration ( cuz it was BUUUUUUUSY) to take me aside and look through my Passport. When they found a various Number of STamps ( since I was mostly the one visiting my Fiance most of the time within 2 yrs), they got suspicious and entered me in their little sneaky ####### computer. Well me and my fiance went to Canada for Vacation and I guess that officer over there must have made some remarks already under my name,cuz after digging in there,...they started DIGGING DEEP. They took everything apart, my clothes,luggage and started mad questions, of course the usual,how I support myself, who gives me money, why can I go away so often from Germany,who do I know over here, do i work,do i have an own apartment, what does my fiance do,what is his name, how long we known each other,... They even had the guts to ask how much longer my grandmother has To LIVE because i have my return flight for december, so if he was that sick why would i have to stay that long !!!!! That just startled me and i started crying.. Telling him that we are going the official way of the K1 didnt make any difference, he was just asking : "Oh how is that working out for ya".. I had Binding Ties,Bank Statements,Insurances of my Car,my Car Papers, and an OFFICIAL Letter by my Lawyer that I have to return to attend in civil court as a witness. They didnt even CARE. So then it was time for my wallet,and in my wallet supposably what they found must have been so startlin that the supervisor had to come and check everything out. I had various "Business"Cards from Friends that are Photographers. Especially now that my fiance and I are planning our wedding I needed those,t hats why they were in there, but they assumed that I PLAN to work with those photographers,asked me about every single card.. When i told them to call them and verify they dropped it and were interested in calling my mother to see if she would varify my intention of coming back to my Homecountry. I wrote down the number, turned out, they just tried to mindfuck me right there again. Cuz they never called. Supervisor and Officer were taking a Moment aside,before mad notes were made in the Computer and the Threat Spoken: Not to return without any Visa Approval of my K1 cuz otherwise I will get denied next time...I wonder what they wrote down int he computer, but you guys can trust me : not gonna try again to see my fiance until I have some APPROVAL !!!!
