will asking to speak to a supervisor or immigration officer help me get a service request number ? coz the people i talk to just read of a computer and its pretty much word for word the 4 times i have called !


Tomorrow is my 6 month mark and every time I've called USCIS, they told me the system will not allow a service request to be put it... Well today my fiance was able to get it done!!! I'm not sure how since he's the beneficiary and we've BOTH been told that only the petitioner could inquire about the case. Well I am not expecting this process to follow any logic anymore... I'll just wait, pray, and force myself to be patient!!!

NOA1-August 5th and we received our NOA2 last Monday (almost after 7 months of waiting and no RFE). The irony is that today in the mail, I got the hard copy of our NOA2 and the response to the service request of 02/14. The letter said: your application is still under review and you should obtain a response within the next 30 days :rofl: ... I praise God I didn't have to wait that long!!!

Hello guys. I hope my insight helps out on something. The fact is not to go to the USCIS interview with 10 files of 1000 papers. Remember something, the idea is to carry out good evidence, but not too much in number. Remember that the USCIS officer if he/she wants try to probe you with much more questions exactly pulled out from the evidences presented, that is the reason you cannot show to the officer too much photos, just with 4 or 5 good pictures is fine. The officer can begin to attack from the whole files of evidence that he or she has on his power. The result is the interview much more difficult and a risk of denied or pending application. I suggest PLEASE CARRY OUT TO THE INTERVIEW GOOD EVIDENCE ABOUT EVERYTHING BUT NOT TOO MUCH IN QUANTITY, IT IS MUCH BETTER IN QUALITY AND DIVERSITY OF EVIDENCE. ANOTHER THING, PLEASE STUDY AND REVIEW WHAT YOU ARE SHOWING TO THE OFFICER, IN CASE OF PICTURES PLEASE REVIEW EVERYTHING OR EVERYONE ON THE PICTURE, NOT ALWAYS BUT SOMETIMES, THE OFFICER CAN ASK QUESTION FROM THE WHOLE EVIDENCE THAT YOU ARE GIVING TO HIM. THAT IS THE REASON YOU CANNOT GIVE THE OFFICER NOT TOO MUCH INFORMATION, SO THERE IS much more POSSIBILITY OF MISTAKE FROM THE COUPLE BECAUSE YOU COME SOMEHOW NERVOUS TO THE INTEVIEW. Thanks and bye,

Please do not carry out to the interview too much information or evidence; remember something, YOU CANNOT GIVE THE USCIS OFFICER THE KNIFE THAT HE/SHE IS GOING TO STAB YOU!, please analyze and check everything what you are going to show to the officer. If you show too much, the officer is going to have much more evidence to ask about. The best balance is carry out a little bit everything that they ask for, but not too much. Please study all the evidence that you are going to carry. you can carry out to the interview the whole different evidence, do not carry too much photos neither. They can ask you everything from the photos, too. I recommend you the best balance with good evidence, a little bit from each important evidence and the best of all preparation and review of each evidence that you are going to give them. Hello my friend. I hope my personal opinion helps you out on something. There are 2 options, the first is that they might be on a good, lucky and nice work day and maybe they do you the favor of sending that paperwork by themselves to the correct service center. The other option is that they get you back what you submitted and they send you a letter with that where it is stated that you have to send that to the correct service center or office. I tell you the thruth, that same case happened for me; when I was going to send that out to a service center, they already changed, thanks to God, they received that and they did me the favor to mail to the correct service center. Hello Everybody, My friend, You have an easy solution. First of all, your interview is only about the new relationship, whatever happened with whoever in the other time does not matter. Now, I suggest you this good strategy for the interview. Like I always suggest to the whole people that I help a little bit with the papers, PLEASE JUST ANSWER EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE ASKING, DO NOT ANSWER NEITHER MORE OR NEITHER LESS; What does it mean? you have to be consice, accurate and do not get too long on the answers when it does not is needed. For example: if the person in the interview ask you: What is your name? you answer exactly your name, do not answer more or less things, details or comments; you have to answer accurate, concise and without giving any explanation on the things that really are not needed. Everything what you say is recorded and in case of any weakness, the officer might ask 10 questions in order to get that weakness and deny you the application or petition. It is good to have nice and good evidences, but this is other advice, DO NOT GIVE TOO MUCH EVIDENCE OR TOO MUCH PICTURES, WHY? a few times when the officer wants to bit... you, the officer can use all the evidence to put YOU much more on trouble against you; in my country we say "knife for your own throat"; it is very good that you have evidence both in quality and quantity , but the correct number is not neither just a little, neither too much evidence as the same with the pictures, or else you would have to study everything, even what is on each picture and everything. Like we say in my country and believe me, this is not to get you scare or to hold you back of performing the things, it is just to tell you that USCIS are very smart, sharp and wise, they are trained and sometimes they like to be intimadated, cocky and arrogant people in order to turn you down with your case or application. I like to aware the people to be concious about what is going to go into, this is not a joke or a game that you can tell lies and of course. Hence, you can get well prepared for any IMMIGRATION INTERVIEW OR EMBASSY INTERVIEW, really, it is for the well-being and good performance on any case that I like that the people get attentive and get prepared for a hard and maybe intimating interview. Same here! I cant stay away long, I also think August VSC applicants may start getting approved by January or later… Well, it is what it is!!! We have to wait, so we wait…

We are all living with and in the 'reality' of the two governmental agencies......I'm assuming the other is the Postal Service? I know I don't have a problem with getting my mail and that is the point I was trying to make with mentioning the card I received from a friend. Just because it's a reality that the Federal government is extremely slow doesn't make it right. LIKE I SAID I JUST NEEDED TO VENT.

Sorry.........the holiday week excuse doesn't jive with me. I have a friend that sent me an happy engagement card on May 26th and I got it on 31st and she lives in FL.......further away from me than Vermont. Like I said it's probably still sitting on the desk. :(

I really do feel your pain Steve.

I have plenty of patience.........if I didn't I wouldn't have been in this kind of relationship. This process is trying the patience I'm TRYING to keep. :wacko:

I know I might sound impatient but I know it doesn't take mail in the US more than a week to get to where it needs to go. I've been waiting since May 24th for this stinking RFE so I can finally know what I need to send back so we can get our NOA2 and be on our way to the NVC. How long does it usually take to get the RFE after the email? It's coming from the VSC which in my opinion is not as fast everyone keeps raving about. I must of, unfortunately, gotten the slow agent at VSC. It's probably still sitting on the desk. I'm sorry I just need to vent. :angry:

Thank you Divine Mercy.......by the way......very cute family picture :) .........for your encouragement. To answer your question the RFE email doesn't tell you anything other than a hard copy letter was sent out supposedly the same day and in the hard copy letter it will tell you what evidence/information they want. When I sent a letter to USCIS over 2 weeks ago I also put with the letter what I think they might be looking for. I just contacted the state reps office so I hope we hear something soon. Thank you again for your encouraging words. May you continue to be blessed.

PS.....being from Philly YOU know our unpredictable weather......LOL.......I don't want my baby to get a cold as soon as he gets here if he has to come during the winter. ;)
