Canada	Leaving Canada/Who to Notify	I just made sure to cancel my GST cheques, as I didn't want to keep getting those and have to pay them back. I also changed my address with the government, just so my tax package, etc. would be sent here. I notified OHIP with a written letter to advise them I was no longer an Ontario resident, and I cut up that card along with my Ontario DL. Canada	SSN Woes	I went to the SSN armed with proof I was able to get one, since I read so many stories on here. Scroll down to Section C on the link below - Policy.... it specifies K-1's. https://secure.ssa.g.../lnx/0100203500 Luckily the girl at my local office was smart and knew I qualified to get one, but I had that printout just in case.
