Travis Barker and Shannon Moakler, he's a musician and she's a model. Their marriage went kapoots.

People magazine is the one magazine I trust for reputable stories. They don't report on gossip, only fact. They interview people, don't talk about them without getting their side of the story.

I guess I just don't trust People magazine or anything else for that matter.. and neither should John & Kate.. the best way I figure to ruin a marriage is to listen to what the media says about your marriage.

I think by inviting the show to film their lives they got far more than they bargained for.. and lost much much more than their privacy.

Yup, history shows that allowing a reality show to film your marriage leads to a divorce...

1. Nick & Jessica
2. Carmen and Dave
3. Jon & Kate?
4. Hulk and Linda
5. Travis and Shannon

I know people think reality tv is trash, but Jon and Kate was an adorable show for a while. I have watched it for so long. Those kids are just the cutest! Except maddy... little brat. tongue.gif

But I guess from watching it for so long you just get attached to everyone and now this happens and its really ruined the show for me. When this season first began, I'll admit it, I was looking forward to the drama. But to be honest, its just really depressing.

I know, it's so sad. I think they are playing up this "big announcement" because the ratings have dropped drastically, so they want to pull the viewers in. What better way (sick but true) to get viewers back by a divorce announcement and watching their marriage fall apart on TV? I think it's time to turn the cameras off and mend their family. It's not fun to watch anymore, it's sad

What kind of strange calls?

Well one man with a thick Indian accent called (I think he was honestly calling from India, it sounded so far away) I could barely understand him. He said he found my resume online, and wanted to invite me to meet him at a job fair at so and so address in Philly. Anyway he gave me the address and asked if I was interested, said NO and promptly hung up. It just sounded odd. So I look at the address online (a convetion centre) and there was no such job fair going on!

Then I got another one, didn't recognize the # so didn't answer, he lef a msg saying he works from home and wanted to talk to me about opportunities to work with him making "Thousands of dollars per month" YA OK BUDDY!!

No reputable companies have actually called me from the search function so I figure I'll just stick to applying to jobs I find myself.

My vent for today:

My doggie is possibly very sick sad.gif We've been noticing the last few days that around his right eye it's very pink and puffy. I thought it was possibly another cataract (he has one already in his left eye,) or just something caught in his eye.
I took him to the vet yesterday, and after more than three hours of testing, and $311 dollars later, they informed me he either has a skin condition (not too complicated to deal with,) or an Auto-Immune disease!!!! crying.gif (<---No, that does not mean AIDS in this case, my husband was freaking out thinking our dog had aids, so I asked the vet and it's more or less some disease that is causing his body to over-produce protein which is resulting in skin irritations, etc.)
The good news is, if it is an Auto-Immune disease, it likely isn't a deadly one since it's attacking his skin and outer parts, rather than his organs.
I just feel awful because he's already had a rough life (we adopted him from a shelter about 2 months ago where he was picked up as a stray.) He's a cockerspaniel, therefore he is extremely high spirited and full of energy, so watching him be weak and depressed is killing me. I do think he's playing it up a bit though...after the vet yesterday he was acting more depressed, almost like he knew it would get him more attention, so I'm been telling my husband that our dog is milking his injury, hehe.
I'm hoping and praying that when we go back to the vet in two weeks for his check-up that they'll inform us it is just a skin condition, not a disease. Regardless of what is wrong, we're going to do whatever it takes to make him better, but I'm just hoping it's something not serious for his sake...he's too cute to be in pain sad.gif

Awwww Misty.... I'm sorry to hear that! Having a sick pet is so difficult, it's a loved one and part of the family. I hope he feels better soon rose.gif

I got an email from an old friend. Long story short, a college friend was killed in an accident when his cousin (who was also a part of our clique) drove a golf cart drunk. It was a freak accident, but ever since then, nobody in our group of friends really could talk to him. So flash forward to today, I get an email from him, and its addressed to everyone in the group. He's basically gone and outlined each and every time that any of us had a drink and drove a car. Then he ends it with "we all make mistakes, why can't you guys forgive me? I made a mistake, i'm sorry, I've paid my price".

I'm so livid right now that my hands are actually shaking. I've typed out a response, but I'm a bit worried that it is too much. So I condensed it down to "Have a good life, I have no interest in being a part of it." I still don't know if I should even respond.

I would not even reply, it's not worth your time. If you do want to reply, don't do it in a haste of anger, sit on it a day or two then reply.

I do a whole heap of research and give her the names of ALL my alternative medicine physicians on the Island and she emails me back and says that she can't possibly go see an alternative medicine Dr. cause she can't afford it.. blink.gif Okay.. so you WANT information, but you just don't want to PAY for it..

I mean really.. if it will WORK why wouldn't you pay for it? *sigh.. I understand things are expensive, but regular med. doctors will only treat symptoms by in large, where a chiropractor or naturopath will actually tackle the problem itself.. *i realize many might disagree with me, but for chronic pain management this is my personal experience.. I'd rather see an alternative physician HANDS down over a traditional Dr. when dealing with chronic issues.

I don't disagree at all.... I found a wonderful doctor in Philly, he's a naturopath from Russia. Wonderful doctor. He has gotten me off almost all the meds I was on in Canada for 6 years, as my Doctor there didn't bother to do blood tests or find out what was really wrong with me (in regards to having dangerously high BP) she pumped me full of drugs for years. She was masking the problem, not figuring out what the problem was. I went to the Russian, and he was immediately shocked at all the meds I was on. He said some led to side effects, which were then dealt with by a new drug, leading to a new side effect, etc. He ran some tests, figured out what was truly wrong with me. I am now off all meds but one, and will be going off that one next month (he is slowly weaning me off so my body doesn't go crazy). Soon I will be drug free, all because I found this natural doctor. I am so thankful I found him, as I will be able to get preggers in the future with no worries about being on drugs or harmful side effects smile.gif
