IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAug 2013 I-130 filers

Hi to everyone,

Since, I am September filler and recently I have been transferred to some other USCIS office (not sure were). I have one kind request to some August Fillers to please explain, how long does it take after transfer. I have spread sheet of August filler and most of August fillers are also transferred to some USCIS office. Is there any of them got NOA 2 within a week or couple of weeks.

Thanks

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsOctober 2013 I-130 Filers

I am seeing Sep filers getting transferred now, then it takes about two months once transferred? From what I can read/gather? That would also align with a May-ish time frame? Who knows.

I have a magic 8 ball and some ruby slippers...maybe if I go downtown to USCIS I might have some luck?

ME (reading the sign on the door): Bell out of order, please knock. (I knock at the USCIS door)

GUARDIAN OF USCIS: Well, that's more like it! Now, state your business!
ME: I want to see the Wizard!
GUARDIAN OF USCIS: [gasps] The Wizard? But nobody can see the Great Oz! Nobody's ever seen the Great Oz! Even I've never seen him!
ME: Well, then how do you know there is one?
GUARDIAN OF USCIS:: Oh, you're wasting my time!
ME: Oh, please! Please, sir! I've got to see the Wizard! The Good Witch of the North sent me!
GUARDIAN OF USCIS: Prove it!
SOMEONE ELSE IN LINE: He's wearing the ruby slippers she gave him.
GUARDIAN OF USCIS: Oh, so he is! Well, bust my buttons! Why didn't you say that in the first place? That's a horse of a different color! Come on in!

Do you think that might work? I'm 6'3" and 250 pounds, I would look a little funny with my unshaved legs and ruby slippers on! hahahahaha rofl.gif

Not actually 2 months but within the time frame of 2 months, if USCIS is kind enough to us lol. Honestly speaking, if still they need 2 months or more than that then by carrying out transfer process they are just moving our focus and to show that they are working. Transfer process is kind of illusion sometimes to some of us. well after studying some August timeline I have observed some changes in USCIS process and I have seen some of the application till 15 August received approval. Appreciate USCIS ^;^. Hope for the best to everyone of us.

I am actually in WI. Try the IUD number from your appointment letter. Did you resched your interview or you just followed the one that was sent? there is another way to check the passport and it is auto reply, send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com subject would be the passport number. Tell me if it works. :) That what I used then too.

Or you can just ask her to do her medical exam if you plan to book her flight the moment she gets her visa approved. :) Because the med exam if I am right expires in 6 months.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)DS-260 Vacination Question

She has to get one from the Medical exam at St. Lukes. In my case, I did my medical before I even completed that. But I guess you can just say yes since once your case is complete she will get her med exam and she will have the documentation. St. Lukes provides that document once you pass the medical. :)

National Visa Center (Dept of State)does a 'case complete' mean AOS is approved?

I know that a case complete pretty much means that the everything is "accepted,"  and it is forwarded to the embassy for the interview and the final determination.

My question is, for the AOS, does that mean that the finances are also sufficient?  Has the NVC already checked that I am considered 'financially stable' to support my wife, or will the consular still have a say in this?

If you are in CR-IR1 and got the case complete it means the affidavit of support was accepted by the NVC. Yes it means the financial docs are sufficient UNLESS they request another financial document on the P4 that you will receive through email that your wife needs to bring on the day of her interview.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Who will be the one to call NVC, petitioner or beneficiary?

Hello, Just asking if who will be the one to call NVC, the petitioner or beneficiary?
I am the beneficiary, from Philippines.
When my fiance (USC) received NOA2, I sent email to NVC to ask my MNL# but up to now no replied yet. I read some threads that you have to call than email. How much the cost if calling from Philippines?
Thank you

I was the beneficiary and I called NVC, I used suncell for 2php per minute. They usually have long hold so call them around 11:50am Manila time, that is 10 minutes before they close. If you have a smart, then just register for the 2.50 per minute, same with globe., Smart has 1.50 per minute too but it expires in 30 days and that is one time registration for 300php.

Hope this helps.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC customer service number busy

Yes I experienced that! So what I did is called them like 5-10 mins before they close and they usually answer quick too. They usually have busy line during regular hours.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC contact

Call them around 7PM or 11:50am MNL TIME. 7pm because it is their opening time and 11:50am is 10 mins before they close. That's what I did when I was in the PH. I am the beneficiary. When I tried calling them in the mid of the day US time, i usually get busy tone.

They don't usually reply timely in email. If I could remember it was a few weeks. I used NVCinquiry@State.gov but never used the other email so I am not sure which is better.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsI-130 Denied! USCIS mistake?

Hello guys, here is an update from my case.

We call USCIS yesterday asking about our expedite review. We found out that the representative from the USCIS that filed our expedite review failed. My wife gave our adress and zip code(Spain adress) to the rep. but seems like you need to give a US zip code, so we coudn´t apply for it. We knew this through contacting a tier2 officer, that also gave us the California Service center fax number to send a letter and to try to expedite from there.

Anyway, after thinking and thinking what was the reason behind our denial, I got to the conclusion that, more than probably, when we sent the I-129F and I-130 RFE together, the USCIS took the form and passport photo from the RFE for the I-129F case, so the RFE documentation didn´t have the requested documentation, so we were denied. Obviously our fault(well, the administration company that we hired), so obviously we have to start ALL over again, what leads our family in a delicate financial situation.

sorry. just saw this. I got it. :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsI-130 Denied! USCIS mistake?

Hello everybody! I really need some advice or any sort of help, and it´s great to have such a forum like VJ to expose them, so let´s go.

I´m a spanish beneficiary applying for the I-130 (my wife lives with me and the kids here at Spain w/me). We started the proccess helped by a administrative company at the end of the 2011, receiving our first NOA in March. In April 10 we received a Request For Evidence, asking for a passport-like picture and a G-325A form. We sent everything they requested and waited until yesterday.

We got denied. ugh!

In the explanation they said that actually we responded, but we did not submit the requested form G-325 A and the photo. But we actually did.

After freaking out, get over-frustated and desperate, we call USCIS info service, and they suggest that, if we think that if it could be a USCIS mistake, she would expedite the form (not exactly sure about this, since I do not relate to the info on the internet, and my wife was talking to the lady) to re-check it, so we might be re-requested for the picture and G325A form.

Questions:

-If we know we sent the requested documents, could it mean that the documents were wrongly filled? I guess that, it will mean that we have to start all over again from scratch.
-We took the USCIS girl option, does anybody know some similar cases like ours?

Thank you very much, any help or clarifications is more than welcome, since our position is frustrating and delicate.

Hi! I was just wonderig what happened to your case. I have the same exact case now where we got denied due to abandonment. USCIS claims we didn't send the G-325a but we did and got a tracking number to prove it.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsprocessing time for DS 260 and required documents for i 864

Documents you need to submit with the I-864 are your tax transcript for the recent year and most recent paystubs. If you are using assets then proof of ownership. Once the AOS packet is received and DS-260 has been completed, it would be around 30 days,

It says pay now in red (for everyone it does after AOS is paid)

But when you click on it you can't pay the IV fee since it's not invoiced.

Post 1 on 173rd page::

When did it become available? I'm still waiting. And I called up, and Ms. Olivia said it was usually 5-10 business days, but they're behind and so they can't give me a time frame as to when it will be complete.

I am not getting,this wasn't my question.

My question is, everyone is suggesting to call NVC to find out did they receive my case or not? But if I prefer not to call them and wanted to know did they receive my case or not, how would I come to know?

As I know , it takes two weeks for NVC to receive case. But do they issue any notification that they received our case??

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Can Beneficiary send an email to NVC to ask questions about case?

You can call them. I'm the beneficiary and there's no problem with it calling them. Just prepare your Case number, date and birth of beneficiary and petitioner. I used magic jack.. It's free! You can download it on your mobile phone whether its android or IOS. :)

Is magic jack free for international calls????

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Can Beneficiary send an email to NVC to ask questions about case?

Yes of course you can contact NVC, since you have your name in a case too. I'm beneficiary too, and I have called NVC multiple times to know the status about my case. It is always recommended to call rather than sending an email. If you Email them you might get late response so better call them on this below number.

NVC contact number : +6033340700

Before you call them please go through this link

http://travel.state....nformation.html

So you will understand at what time you should call them.

Preferred timing to call NVC are

OFF-PEAK Calling Times:
7am to 10am (EST)

8pm to midnight (EST)

(NOTE: it will always take atleast 30 to 40 minutes to reach to an operator, So call them using skype or any other application which has lower calling rates)

Best wishes.
