IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsSeptember 2013 I-130 Filers

I was approved on Thursday. I'll call NVC later this week to see if they have it.

Oh I was approved on 10th of March, so do you think its better for me to call them and ask or is there any other way to know that case reached to NVC???

Thanks

If you were sent to NSC you are now outside of processing times according to USCIS' update! Call a Tier 2 tomorrow and get your service request in!!!!

Those processing times don't go off of transfer dates, so I don't think it would be out of the question, IMO...

Have you heard anything about where is your case reach to??

Is it in NVC or still in CSC??

I was going to say - if they're issuing approvals that quickly after RFEs, someone's spiked the coffee!!

Congrats on your approval biggrin.png I'm thinking USCIS is waiting until my birthday to send the approval - at least, that's what I tell myself to stay sane!

Congrats on your approval! On your timeline, you listed that you got an RFE, was that an error?

oh yeah that's an error, I was transferred  to CSC. Thanks . Your spreadsheet had helped me a lot. Thank you so much. I hope you get approval soon.

Congratulation! it seems there's time lag between the decision and system input, I don't think there's any agent working on the case around Asia time!

thanks , yeah of course there is time lag.

It's taking roughly a month to get a case number from NVC because (drum roll please) they're BACKLOGGED!!!!

Beyond the NVC stage, I think it really depends on the country of the beneficiary (in terms of getting a medical and time to interview). I would give a rough estimate of 3-5 months. We're only halfway through the jungle with an I-130 approval :/

Thanks for updating my info. in the spread sheet. I appreciate your hard for all of us. Like a angel for September filers.

Well one question. I am Indian citizen but staying in Singapore. When my wife filed the application for me I was in Singapore ( currently also). So in my case,  country of beneficiary will be???

Since my case has been transferred a week ago, I thought that its better to gather documents in advance such as police clearance certificate (PCC), birth certificate. The reason why I thought about gathering the documents is because I am always busy with the work and most of time I am traveling to other countries regarding work, on the top of that I am living in third country, so I will need the police clearance of India as well as Singapore, So I called Indian High Commission today and I found out that I will not have get PCC  until I receive my interview letter from US embassy.

Are you the only K-3 active on this thread? I might add a column for K-3 (to see if this has any bearing on time frame)....

I'm also thinking of adding a column with ARN date? I think it might be helpful for others to gauge how soon a decision is made once the number is assigned?

What does ARN stands for??  Also I have been waiting for hard copy of transferred. Since, my I am in first batch of transfer of the September batch. My guess, the case went to CSC. Lets see ....

dhavalskyhawkMaleSingapore2014-03-03 23:37:00

I got my first e-mail Monday night and received the hard copy in the mail on Friday.

Urbangirluk, do you know if that Oct approval was an expedite? I think it was around mid-October that I-130s went directly to the service center as opposed to NBC.

oh wow, No I don't know about it!!

Well I have paid some attention on August cases, I have been noticing that they have providing approval to most of the cases till mid of August. Perhaps we get approval in another two weeks. But I still don't know where I have been transferred. I hope it should be TCS or CSC.

Anyhoo, I'm thinking tomorrow's transfers are headed to California. VNBCI30, care to weigh in?

Do you know how long does it takes to receive a hard copy of transfer??

Since your PD is Aug, that would place you in the August thread. I'm on my tablet at the moment, so I'm not able to post that link right now. However, I know the August spreadsheet captain is active on here and can add you to the sheet :-)

And congrats on your transfer!

I am sorry to bother you, but my PD is 3rd of September. :).

( earlier my P.D.  was 9/09/2012 in the September spread sheet and now it is showing 9/05/2012 instead of 3rd of September.

For people receiving multiple e-mails about a transfer, there is a glitch in their system. The first e-mail was the transfer e-mail, the other two were stating I was transferred to a local office (this is NOT the case). The last e-mail I got stated my case had been transferred and is now being processed.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOUR CASE IS: you have 2 options. The first is to wait for the letter from USCIS, the second is to call USCIS. If you want to call, here is my suggestion, and it has worked for a few of us on here smile.png

Call 1-800-375-5283. You must be the petitioner, USCIS will not speak with the beneficiary. Option 1 for English. Then option  2. Option 1 to enter your receipt number (enter your receipt number). Then press 3 to get connected to a customer service agent.

The first agent you speak with will not know any specifics about your case. What the agent will do is simply read what is on the screen (the same screen we're looking at when we check our case status online). When you get the agent on the phone, feign ignorance about your case. "I just got three e-mails about my case being transferred and I'm really confused". The agent will read the screen, at which point you can say "So where did my case go? Why is it going to the local office? I've never heard of I-130s going to the local office? Is there something wrong with my file?" The agent will likely re-read the screen. At this point, simply request to be transferred to a Tier 2 agent who can provide more specifics on your case.

If the agent you're speaking to is a jerk face and won't transfer you, hang up and try again smile.png

Once you're transferred, you'll get an obnoxious hold time, you can request a call back - there's a prompt that will walk you through that process. The Tier 2 agent will call you back. Start the same conversation again "I'm confused, where's my case going. I keep getting e-mails that my case is being transferred. Is there something wrong". The agent should let you know where it went.

The petitions are not being transferred to Lee's Summit. That's where they've been. Do not accept this as an answer from the customer service agent. If this is all too much for you, relax. You'll get a nice pretty letter from USCIS soon telling you where it went, but for impatient people like me, try the tactic listed above. Play dumb, but be firm in getting an answer. This is your petition, you have every right to know where it is.

Since I know this response will get lost in this thread, I'll happily re-post from time to time when people have questions about where the transfer is smile.png

A very recent email that I have received is this, could you please advice me for the same.

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Initial Review

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Hello  to everyone,

A couple of days ago, I got notification that my case is being transferred. Just a while ago I got another notification

What does this mean???

dhavalskyhawkMaleSingapore2014-02-28 10:53:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsSeptember 2013 I-130 Filers

To find out where your file is being transferred you need to call Customer Service.

When the first person answers (Tier 1) say you got a couple of confusing updates and you have no idea what they mean and you are confused and you would like to find out where your petition is going.

Tier 1 should then transfer you to a Tier 2. (Tier 1s are only contractors with no access to any info other than what we can see ourselves on Check You Case Status site. Tier 2s are actual ISOs- Immigration Services Officers).

Tier 2 will be able to tell which service center you were transferred to.

As for the stats: (approvals)

JUNE:

TSC-  64%

CSC: 85%

NSC- 31%

JULY:

TSC- 93%

CSC- 78 %

NSC- 27%

Thanks a lot, well I will find it out. Hopefully all of us receive NOA 2 soon.

AUGUST:

TSC-  47%

CSC- 65%

NSC- no cases received

Hey do you have any analysis results with you that how long does USCIS takes after a case been transferred??

Well I know that it also depends on the which service centre they are transferring the case. But since I don't know where my case have been transfer, I'm really concerned about the same. Well I also was studying time line of August, from that I came to know that there is some consistent approval till date 15th of August      ( I might be wrong on this).

Thanks

Hi to everyone,

Since, I am September filler and recently I have been transferred to some other USCIS office (not sure were). I have one kind request to some August Fillers to please explain, how long does it take after transfer. I have spread sheet of August filler and most of August fillers are also transferred to some USCIS office. Is there any of them got NOA 2 within a week or couple of weeks.

Thanks
