PhilippinesApproval/interview question
Has anyone experienced having the interview and not having the required police certificate from the foreign country as required? Do they still approve the Fiance visa or do they have you come back and deliver it to them once you receive it? Just curious as my Fiance will more than likely have her interview and not her Police Certificate from Japan. I wish we knew this five months ago. Oh well.

PhilippinesImmigrant Data Summary
Does the immigrant data summary come with the Visa when delivered to the fiance? I was reading the required documents needed to take the CFO seminar and it said it required that to attend. Also, when the visa and other paperwork after approval is delivered is this in a sealed envelope? If sealed then how does the fiance present this to take the CFO class?

So many questions, grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Thanks,
Charlie

PhilippinesCase search function not working?

I try almost every 15 mins. (I have it bookmarked).Yesterday, I luckily opened it but my case number is not found in the appointment database.

I have tried now on three different computers and that search feature just won't work since last Friday. I have probably checked it at least 20 different various times throughout the day and night each day and no luck so far.

I'm guessing your talking about the visa appointment site. It goes down from time to time. Give it awhile and try again or try tomorrow. You probably won't see a new visa appointment until after the 15th of the month anyway.

Yes, that is it. Thanks for the info.

Has anyone tried to use this function on the U.S. Manila/Embassy site? I hasn't worked since at least last Friday. I have tried it from home and work and it won't show the window. It just says page cannot be displayed.

PhilippinesCFO Sticker

i forgot,,,, asking if how long is the seminar would last? just 2 and half hrs give or take, so if you're taking it in the PRISM (taft ave) you could run to quirino manila to get a certificate before they closes at 5pm. then when you have the visa already, you just have to get back and tell you've paid (dont lose the receipt) show them the receipt and the certificate then wait for your name to be called again. most likely an hr or so depending on the crowd

She will take it in Cebu. Will she be able to get everything there as well as in Manila? I hate for her to go to Cebu then find out for some strange reason again that she has to go to Manila to get the Cert. or sticker. It seems like there are so many variables with going through the K1 visa process. Every time you turn the corner there is another missed step or something that wasn't mentioned. Grrrrrrr.

Thanks,
charlie

PhilippinesCFO Sticker

My fiance took her CFO seminar in Cebu and she has the documentation proving that. Does anyone know if she can get her sticker in Manila after she receives her visa? I sure hope she doesn't have to go back to Cebu but it would really suprise me if she did!

Thanks for any replies!
Kevin

i think ive heard a couple of girls did that and they have it stamped in manila. let your fiancee call the CFO office in quirino (manila) to make sure

I concur with RonMay. Since your beloved has the G&C Certificate, it theoretically/logically should not matter which CFO location applies the "sticker" to her passport/visa. However, you should call the CFO in Manila to verify. We all know that logic and theory are sometimes out the window when it comes to some policies, procedures, or practices.

Sheriff, so what is the corect procedure? Can the fiance take the seminar before getting her visa? My fiance MJ has her passport already so if she took this seminar to get it out of the way what would she do then? Neither of us have the patience for this, hahahaha. This is truly a test of patience to say the least and something that I hope I never have to repeat in this life time again.

How long is the seminar?

Thanks,
Charlie

PhilippinesNBI CLEARANCE/NO CRIMINAL RECORD?????

I have seen so many post about the NBI Clearance and the letter of explanation if certain remarks are on the clearnce and they seem to vary with explanations from the board here.

My question is why is a letter needed if there is no criminal record? Example, say someone has nothing on record with the police, or case, or whatever, just a clear background. What do they put on the clearance for this? I already had to send my fiance to Manila to the Bureau of Immigration and now another possible return for this. I guess they think i have a private jet for my fiance to fly around the Philippines in.

If anyone knows for sure thanks for your response.

Charlie

Charlie:

I do NOT have an answer to your question but here is what I do know for those who read this thread/post.

Need NBI letter if notation is:
No Criminal Record
No Criminal Conviction
No Pending Case
With Derogatory Record

NBI letter not needed if notation is:
No Derogatory Record

Not sure if NBI letter is needed for this:
No Record On File

NOTE: When you discover the correct answer for "No Record On File" please PM me so that I can make a not of it.

Cheers!!!

I guess they think i have a private jet for my fiance to fly around the Philippines in.

Hehehehe!!! It's can be a tad more costly when the beneficiary is NOT within a reasonable distance of the places required to complete the process.

Hi Sheriff,
Thanks for the info. This is the part I was curious about that you typed. NBI letter not needed if notation is:No Derogatory Record. I will let you know if I find our anything about the (no record on file).

Charlie

The first time one requests an NBI clearance, the record will read "No record on file." If a renewal is requested, the message will then read "No derogatory record." So no letter needed for either.

StarProg you were right about not needing the letter for both. One less thing to get.

Well MJ got her NBI clearance and it says (no record on file). This is her third time getting one. She has never had any problems or anything related to having a record of any type so I don't know why it didn't come back as (no derogatory record). So now I have to find out if a letter is needed for these results. Stay tuned

PhilippinesNBI CLEARANCE/NO CRIMINAL RECORD?????

My wife's NBI clearance says "NO RECORD ON FILE." That means the NBI has no information about her in their records. Another possible statement could be "NO DEROGATORY RECORD." However, if the statement says "NO CRIMINAL RECORD" that means there IS a record, and could mean that there was a case on record against the applicant, but the case was dismissed or cleared. In such a case an explanation would be needed. Sorry I don't think I explained this well, hope it helped anyway.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you know what the clearance can or wil say so there is no letter needed?

Thanks again.

PhilippinesAugust 3rd interview but a slight problem

Does anyone have any suggestions or actually know what we should do if that wonderful Japanese Certificate doesn't arrive in time? :crying:

I told MJ to bring her receipt for her request of the certificate.

  • Go through with interview and see what that say.
  • Ask to be re-scheduled but then we still wouldn't know when it will arrive.
  • Option 3, I have no idea.
  • How long is the medical good for? 30 days I think? Her date for this is July 27th but I told her she needs to reschedule as I have seen that suggested many times on this site to have that done about 3 weeks before the interview date.
Thanks for the help!!! :help:

Charlie

I have exactly the same appointment with your fiancee. Goodluck to us!

As for your question, I have a friend who went through this. She didn't ask for a re-scheduling, she was approved during the interview but she wasn't given a visa until after the Dutch Police Certificate arrives. So I think MJ should just go for her interview date, then wait what the CO would advise her to do, most likely they will put your case into AR until the police certificate arrives which was what happened to my friend. I hope that helps!!

I seconded... It will take another 2-3 months to have a new appointment if you will reschedule it. Let your fiancee attend the interview. btw, option 1 sounds good to me if she will bring the receipt for her request...

Good luck!

Mae

Thanks Mae, that is pretty much decided to not change the interview date.

PhilippinesLatest Info on I-134 for Manila Embassy?

i'm asking on behalf of someone else. i tried to do a search but it's taking too long. :D for the financial support documents...

- as of today...I-134 notarized or not? i read the packet 4 letter and it does not say notarize anymore.
- tax return & W2 requirement - latest year only, right?
- employment letter still required?
- latest paystubs required? if so, 3-6 months worth?
- bank letter optional?

did i miss anything else?

FWIW I used only 4 paystubs - the equivalent of 8 weeks - and our case was processed without issue.

Thank for the info.

PhilippinesLatest Info on I-134 for Manila Embassy?
I found this infor in the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide post- The Packet 4 currently sent from the USE to the beneficiaries INCORRECTLY states  that the DS-156 (Nonimmigrant Visa Application) is validated by the banks upon paying the visa application fee. The pdf file for the Packet 4 link (above) is modified to CORRECTLY read that the DS-157 (Supplemental Nonimmigrant Application) is the form validated by the bank upon paying the visa application fee.

It is apparent that the Embassy is incorrectly telling people to get the DS 156 validated by the Bank when it is really the DS 157. I also noticed is says nothing about a bank letter but does say only the most recent tax return is needed. It also says nothing about anything being notarized. This could go on and on.

I'm going to need a vacation after this process is over.

- tax return & W2 requirement - latest year only, right? - Yes, but you can also prepare the past 3 years just in case, most often CO's and pre-interviewers are not consistent with what documents they will ask from the applicant...-

- employment letter still required? - Yes. The latest, if possible.

- latest paystubs required? if so, 3-6 months worth? - YES, atleast 6 months and less, latest as possible like April or May.

- bank letter optional? - YES

- did i miss anything else?

This is the first I have heard about pay stubs....but I was told 3 years of tax returns and the bank letter were mandatory. I have the employment letter coming in the mail now...

I think I am rapidly becoming confused with this process

Below is what I was told by an agency to send to my fiance so who knows. There is so much information that is different it is easy to get your head to start spinning. It would be nice to see an official document stating what is REALLY needed. I can't find one. I would also assume that everyone should be bring the same required documents. I'm not an attorney and won't pretend to be one but it doesn't seem right to ask this from one person and ask something different from another. Same thing goes for the questions that they ask, one would think they have to ask everyone the same questions or someone could complain of discrimination (????).

Original, completed, signed and notarized I-134 (Affidavit of Support). Employment Letter and a copy of the letter attached to the original.

Original Bank Letter and a copy of the letter attached to the original.

Savings Bank Statement a copy of the most recent statement.

Tax Return for the most recent yearn (2006). You will need to notarize the first page of your most recent tax return and include W-2’s.

Updated copies of emails, letters and phone bills. This is extremely important as evidence of communication.

Photos of you two together.

Certified copy of your final divorce decree. The US Embassy will not accept photocopies.

Anyone out there have the facts?

PhilippinesCopy of NOA2 from USCIS Web Site

Hi, Charlie! I'm in the same boat. I've called UCSIC a few times and on my 3rd call (6/4) they acknowledged that there was a problem with most of the May 3rd approvals and they would send me a free I-797 (NOA2). I'm still waiting, I have not recieved it in the mail. I have also asked me congressmans office to look into the matter. I even e-mailed NVC to see if they could tell me the Alien Registration number off of the NOA2 (they said the case have been forwared to the Embassy and they couldn't give me the info).

I plan on submitting our AOS with my USCIS approval e-mail, the screen from my USCIS website, as well as copies of the e-mails I sent NVC and my congressman's office as well as the name and site ID of the people I spoke to. I know its a bit much, but I'm really aggravated. It doesn't take that long to mail something, and lets say I were to pay $340- I don't have any confidence that I would recieved my NOA2.

I've read where some couples were able to sucessfully complete AOS without their NOA2. I was planning to include all the e-mails and stuff to show evidence that I did everything possible to try to find out what happened to the NOA2.

-DA

Since I never received one is it ok to use the print out of the NOA2 from the USCIS web site and I also have the email of the approval from them. I already checked and they want $340 just to print a copy and mail it to me. That is what I call pure profit.

Thanks,

Charlie

I don't know if it is funny or just really sad but lets say all of us don't get a NOA2 and we go to an AOS interview without it. How hard is it really for them to pick of the phone and call their own agency or better yet they probably have access to the computer system to check on the status.

What a joke this truly is. How in embarrassing is it that a government agency can't verify their own work/processing. Have we really sent people to the moon? I'm starting to doubt that now. They have probably fooled the american public for all of these decades.

Look at this way, you show up for your interview and the agent ask for the hard copy of the NOA2 and we say sorry but it wasn't received. Agent, I'm sorry but we can't proceed without it. Applicant, your agency apparently issued it (no proof they did) and your own web site says that I'm approved. Why can't we proceed? hmmmmm, I don't know the agent says that is just the policy. Applicant, Let me talk to a supervisor, agent, I'm the supervisor!!!

Some times all we can do is laugh and hope for the best!!!!

Is the operator the right person to get through to and what do we do once we get to that person? Tell them I need to reschedule the exam appointment? Or something else?

Thanks for the help.

Charlie

For one you don't need to reschedule medical and can go anytime you want as long as you have the appointment letter.
Some say you can even go with the NOA2 but I'm not sure of that.
My wife did hers almost 2 months prior to her scheduled appointment.
Much safer in case anything should "pop up".
Some have done scheduled medical appointment [normally a week before interview] and had to rechedule USEM interview.
Most because they were required to do 3 day sputum test. A couple because of typhoons.
Following is some info on the medical! Outdated but hasn't changed much!
http://www.raymonddo...isa/medical.pdf

She has her dates for exam and interview and I printed them off of the USE web site. She hasn't received her packet yet. Do you know when the packets are usually sent out because her letter is in that packet. I want her to go on July 11th which is 22 days before her interview.

Can she use the printout from the web site for her medical exam appointment? She will have the NVC letter along with the printout of approval for the NOA2 from the USCIS site as the hard copy of the NOA2 hasn't arrived yet. We were approved on May 3rd. I heard a lot of us and maybe all that were approved have not received their hard copies of the NOA2.

Charlie

If you know your petition is at USEM then she can call [If you can get thru] St. Lukes and they will have the embassy forward it to SLEC and she can pick it up there when she does her medicaL

That is my plan but I can't get through to the SLEC number so I can arrange for her packet to be delivered to SLEC. I have been calling for 1.5 hours now. Yo Charlie!
Been there done that thruout the process marami!
I have seen alternate phone numbers for SLEC but can't find them now.
Pinoyinfo or WOF may have them somewhere tho!

Got lucky and found some numbers on the internet and the first time I called I got through but unfortunately the guy had a strong accent and I couldn't understand him and he sure couldn't understand me. He did say though that we didn't have to reschedule and to just walk in but I tried to ask about having the packet delivered to them but he seemed like he didn't know what I was talking about. I think it is time for MJ to call and arrange for her packet to be delivered.

Here are some numbers that I found, the first one worked on the first try. 524-60-83, 525-41-73, and 526-43-27.

PhilippinesCalling St. Luke's Medical Extension
I found some additional numbers for those that can't get through the regular number listed here on VJ. 524-60-83, 525-41-73, and 526-43-27. I tried the first number and someone answered. No recording and I was shocked.

Good Luck,

Charlie

PhilippinesReceiving Packet 4
Anyone on this board know when they mail out the packet and it is sent via DHL, right? Our interview date is August 3rd  but hearing all of the different stories has me concerned as always about anything arriving through this process.

Thanks,

PhilippinesWho experience enter case number

hi guys,,,..
i put my case number at the website of the manila usembassy to check if theirs my infor in case but says "not found " is this okay ?.. but i was receive my packet last week ...
jarl

Just to clarify, you did receive your packet 4 or you were supposed to? The USE/Manila received our packet around May 18th and we have our exam and interview dates but no packet 4 yet. Hopefully soon.

It is very normal for that case number search function to work one day and not the next. Recently it didn't work for about a week.

PhilippinesManila embassy big backlog spoke to them today

:o :o :o ... weird, as i checked the website for the interview sked, it doesn't shows our sked already instead it says "case # is not found???".... I do hope "Eddie&Mary"'s comment about this topic is RIGHT.

I just called USE, and asked them again for my medical and interview date. They told me the same thing . The medical is on the 27th of July and interview is on the 3rd of August. They are having a problem with their site and therefore all case numbers entered says the same thing"Case # not found". So if you already received a date, then that is when you appear. Excuse me, I have to go and make some reservations!! :P

Thanks for passing that info along Eddie. MJ is looking forward too talking with Mary before their interviews. Get that plane warmed up!!!

Take Care,
Charlie
