I just wonder how long it will take them to print out 10,000 RFE's to send out, and how much it will cost them to mail these. Then they will receive 10,000 back and have to go thru one by one. This could take a while, but I hope not. Why couldn't they keep these at the consulates to share the workload, and not cause such a delay in our timelines. If you were looking to hire a company, would you hire them???? It will not take long. Do you realize how many SS checks the government prints each day? All they need to do is put the reqired info into the computer and hit a button. The automation takes care of the rest. As soon as they get the final approval from OMB the letters will come quickly. I have retain a lawyer to help me trough this process , since i am a very buzy with work an other comittment , my question is when notices are sent out like NOA 1 - 2 , RFE do the service center send out one copy to the lawyer or both party .. also since RFE are going to be sent out to everyone would that come to me or the lawyer .. thank you for your relply .. I´d like to know that too. Is my RFE going to my agent or the petitioner? It is my understanding that the lawyer will get the RFE. I didn't get my NOA1, my lawyer did and then he sent it to me. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	marriage with travel visa?	ok, fine i will go through the K1 process. However, im moving at the end of September and I kind of want to get the process started BEFORE September . Is there going to be a fast way of making changes to my mailing address? Also, another problem is im marrying a muslim women and its a muslim family and they follow the Islamic rules for marriage, which require me to provide a marriage date. I want to fly down to Indonesia this month to go through the whole proposal process with the family so its not last minute. How am i supposed to give a date for marriage if i dont know how long this process is going to take? roughly how long does it take? You have one other option, If you want she can come to America on her tourist visa and get married as long as she leaves after and go home. Then you can file a K3 visa. At this point a K3 is a little faster. There is nothing wrong with marrying on a tourist visa you just can't stay after. P.S. If you want to get married in Indonesia then her tourist visa will prolly end since her status has changed so if you want to get married in both places do it in America first. Hmmm, this will sound negative, but after months of no movement or updating from CSC, it is odd to me they only moved 2 weeks ahead with this update. Almost seems as if they just don't want their stats to fall behind that 120 day mark. Your prolly right, they don't want to commit themselves. My fiance (US citizen) only put in his short version of his Birth Certificate (and no passport pages) when he filed our I-129F back in April. After sending it, he realized that he would be getting an RFE eventually cause his parents names are not on this BC. So, I am wondering since we will be getting an RFE from CSC already for the IMBRA situation, if - when we fill out the IMBRA RFE - if we can also send with it a copy of his long form BC? I know it isn't actually asked for in the RFE, but we can guarentee that they will just send us ANOTHER RFE later on in the game to request the long form BC. It would probably save ALOT of time if we just sent it along with the 1st RFE and at least we would know that it would surely get to our file and not just get lost in the system. What do you guys think? Hope everyone can understand my drawn out question THanks! Well, the worse that will happen it the un-solicited BC is thrown away and you get a RFE anyway. Give it a shot! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Case transferred from Nebraska to California	I got the same thing and wondered if this was a new NOA1 or not. Well I think that since the case number is the same they will not treat it as a new NOA1 and start counting the time from today. Otherwise I think that they would inform us about that fact. I also think that since California is now doing i-129s and other SC are doing different types of cases things will move way faster. I mean come on last 14 days there was more going on with our case than it was for last few months - personally I take it as a good sign That is a very good point. Your case number has the recipt date in it. (NOA1 date) Unless we get a different case number the NOA1 date will not change. It would be a nightmare for the USCIS to try to change all the NOA1 dates. The only way it makes sense is to keep the same dates as before. I can't see someone that just files yesterday getting in line before someone that has a date of March 6. Unless you get a "new" one with a different date I wouldn't worry. It should work out the same as the ones that get sent from Texas and moved to CSC. They maintain the old NOA date. I don't know if they are only touching cases that were before May 1...does anyone know? Or has anyone had a case touched on June 1, June 2, and June 3 with a NOA1 after May 1? Here is the email I just got a few minutes ago. Below is an update I received concerning I-129F applications. It appears that they are sending a large amount of them out today. Tim Sullivan Office of Senator ####### Durbin All I-129F receive on and after 03/06/2006 were place on hold do to a revise I-129F application. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	How is California Service center doing?	I sure hope so. This waiting sucks. My Fiance, like many, was hoping to arrive in the summer time. Sure is easier to transition to a new country when the weather is the same. A minor issue really, being together is clearly more important. But, it would be a nice welcome to arrive in a warm place, as opposed to icy cold and falling snow!!! I got the email that said the got my RFE. It should be soon we start getting NOA2's now!!!! Wow it will be a huge difference in climate from Indonesia's constant heat and humidity to cold and snow. But look on the bright side - those of us that are not use to snow find it amazing! I'm sure she won't even notice the cold the first Christmas! It looks like Luz will get here in the dead of winter. Dec/Jan in northern Illinois can be quite harsh and I wonder how she will cope. Hello all, After a posting (as a new vj-er) asking if it was possible to go to the U.S. while K-1 application is pending... yes, I found many info and threads (thanks for sending comments and advice anyway!). But now back to why I asked that question. We filed the I-129F in California, and NOA1 date is January 18; NOA2 date is April 12. Which date should have been taken into consideration for recalling our file (IMBRA -though not 100% sure that the reason why it had been recalled)? Our petition arrived to Embassy in Paris in early May, and was sent back to NVC soon after apparently. But they never told me at the Embassy (went several times), nor did they inform my fiancée, and I learned about it only last Friday (June 30) at the Embassy, and they said they did not have our file there anymore. Called NVC: file send to Paris on June 23. During all that time, never received any notice (no RFE). There might have been a mistake... we lost two month and our wedding is planned for Sept. 2! (yes I know we should not have planned it befor getting the visa... but hard to plan everything in 90 days!) Do you think we have a case? What would you do? I am going to the Embassy tomorrow (Friday), so I want to find a way (ideally) to make sure I can have my interview in time. Thanks With a NOA1 date in January you should not have been subject to the IMBRA law. Why you got sent back is anyones guess but if it was because of IMBRA then they deffinatly made a mistake.
