K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Trends derived from Gary's data
That would be me getting better at finding inactive and duplicate members. I try to weed out the people that just sign up and never come back. There are also members where both the petitioner and the fiance have accounts and when I find that I eliminate one of them.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDenial
Did they deny you or ask for more information? The way the usually do it is ask for more information regarding your meeting your fiance. If they denied you I think (don't hold me to this) that you can ask that your case be reopened. Can you give us some more information? When did you meet and when did you file?

I've definitely noticed that you've been weeding out the inactive people, Gary...which thrills me to no end! You're ensuring that the stats are more accurate in doing so. It seems to me your system is quite brilliant. I only put those two couples' names out there so that if anyone is doing the percentage calculations, they can include those in with NOA2s that have actually been received. However, having created a similar list for Vermont (for comparitive reasons, as earlier noted), I agree wholeheartedly with your strategy of only updating the general spreadsheet with what is actually reflected in the VJ stats. Frankly it takes too bloody long to go back and look for info in people's posts and signatures, etc. It is a major endeavor to keep a spreadsheet like this...especially for CSC because the volume is just enormous. My hat's off to you, Gary...SERIOUSLY!!! If I could take you out for gourmet coffee or hand you a bottle of expensive wine, I'd do it in a heartbeat!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Your welcome and thank you for your kind words. This list is good therapy for me while I wait. When I started doing this it was for my own use to show my Senator just how bad things were last month. He told me that my approval was a direct result of him sending this list to the CSC director and proving to her that they were hosing me badly. When I realized that it could help others here I decided to put it up on a web site and keep it updated so others in my position would have some ammunition when dealing with their elected officials. Anyone that wants to use it please feel free, it's why I am making it.

Gary,

Can't tell you how helpful this list is...and how very much I appreciate your time and effort in keeping it!!!

I did catch a couple of updates that weren't reflected in the system because the timelines, while active, haven't been updated yet (couples Kelly & Mike and Rico & Paul Jo both got their NOA2s on 9-12). Hopefully they'll do a quick update on their timelines in the next few days so that their numbers are reflected.

While I'm not at a stage where I can use this list to show to a congressional representative yet, I am planning on using it to show to various individuals in the local media I'm currently contacting. When I show them your list in comparison to the Vermont spreadsheet I'm keeping for comparitive purposes, I suspect they'll find it very interesting to see what's been going on--in black and white (and red and blue!).

You're wonderful... :D

Thanks again!!!

I am sure there are a few that haven't updated that I missed. I try to weed out the inactive and the obviously wrong timelines(I.E. There was one that was 1 day and another that was 2 days) I also nuke anyone that does not have a NOA2 and hasn't been online since July. They may have gotten their NOA2 and didn't come back to update. Since I start from scratch each week if someone comes back and updates then they get in the next weeks list. As it is it takes me about 3 hours to do this and I just don't have the energy to go back through the posts and match up announcements with un-updated timelines.
Please, everyone, keep your timelines updated. It helps everyone.

To all the March and April left-behinds. I strongly suggest that you download the MSWord version of my list and send it to your Senators and Congressperson. The doc version is numbered by name. Send it to them and show them in black and white just how far behind they are with your cases. That was my original reason for making this list and it is why I still maintain the doc version. When I did this I had my approval in 2 weeks. Don't be shy! Bug your represenitives until they take some action!
Good luck to you all!!

Sorry, I got confused. The 15 September for March files is pulling up April files. Or is it still me??

Not only do you have to keep this spreadsheet to keep us all sane, you have to teach us all how to use our computers too! :star:

Akkk!! Your right! I got the page wrong. I will fix it now.

Thanks again, Gary.  Every week, I anxiously look over the list which helps to calm me down when I wonder if they forgot about me. I'm closely approaching the 100 day mark and still no IMBRA RFE...sigh. :(

I know how you feel Steve. 177 days seemed like and eternity for me. But don't loose heart, it will soon be over.

thanks gary so much about your list timeline.

i wish to update my timeline in your list.

To be included in the next list you must fill in your timeline. I get my information from the VJ database that comes from each members timeline. If you fill yours in you will be automatically included on the next update.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresage difference?

it could...depends on who is older....how many years...and other factors if they dont seem to add up to the CO. He is required to make a subjective judgement on the total picture. If its a real relationship or a visa scam.

Hi Ann, i started thinkink that age difference is a factor against K1.I and my fiancee, we have 27 yeas difference and see how long we have been waitting and how many touches and still nothing.

That isn't neccesaraly true. Luz and I only have 5 years difference and we waited 6 months. It's not the USCIS's job to make a judgment on the validity of the relationship. Only that you met, are single and are otherwise eligable for a visa. It's the CO at the embassy to determain if the relationship is valid.
