K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMANILA

YA no fraud at all have gone over to spend time with her more than 20 times have been togeather for almost 5 years make way way more than there poverty requirements had tons of proof

she had every thing all ready for the interview tons of proof and every thing tax returns w2 letter from employer every thing and was in there 6 hours few mins with the filipino interviewer and never interviewed with the american interviewer

wow this is amazing really just want to ring sonmeones neck and this is why i pay HUGE TAXS

Sometimes, the result really depends on the CO. but since they kept her passport & docs just pray that in few days they will email you that its approved. they may just wanna double check something.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDoing it here or there,,,,,,,,help!

You can definitely file from abroad.
Most people here do not use a visa service, this is a DIY site, but if you are not god at filing in paperwork or following detailed instructions, it's not a bad idea.

You are only going to be there 60 days- even if you post the package off within a few days of arrival, you are unlikely to hear anything other than NOA1 before you return, so no need to do anything or worry about having to correspond with USCIS.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCase transfer for Manila was sent to Washinton DC instead!
OMG! I did! I was living in Bahrain in middle east when we first filed for i129F. 3 months later i decided to go back in PI. Me & my fiance did the online form to change address at USCIS even if we stated clearly on our papers that the interviewing consulate is in manila. 6 months later we got our NOA2, after 3 weeks got our case number from NVC. to my surprise and thank God i was a member of this forum as well as a pinay forum, i have noticed that our case number is different. It has MNA instead of MNL for manila. I asked my fiance to follow up from NVC and they said mine is different and special LOL and process will be faster. Still cant be of peace i asked him to call again, then we found out that its becoz MNA stands for Bahrain/Manama Consulate. We then started sending them proof of change of address thru USCIS< sent them all our info and everything else and was been calling stupid people of NVC for about 2 weeks. My now husband even got to talk to a supervisor and assured him that they will do the changes and that not to worry. 2 days later we found out that it got forwarded to Bahrain still. Posted Image grrr i was so mad i could break some neck and couldnt stop swearing whoever that stupid person from NVC.

We then contacted Manama consulate and luckily they replied fast as and instructed me to send a friend of mine with a paid DHL envelop where they can put my packet and be forwarded to USEM. it was atleast 3 weeks delayed but yeah we finally got thru it and now a GC holder. Wheeeewww! So be patient and keep trying to find out where your packet now. if you have too dont hesitate giving them a call.

sorry to hear about her being affected by the typhoon. good thing she and her family are safe.
since youre still starting to file, dont worry much, send what you have and then while waiting try to build more proof she can show on her interview. another visit would be nicer or prolly being there on her interview. Goodluck Posted Image

What If the ITR I have is just for the past year? Will that be a problem?

it depends with the interviewing CO, sometimes th recent is fine as long as its above poverty level. but that are some that would ask to see it so its always best to make sure she have it at hand just incase to avoid 221g. you can easily request a print out from IRS

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresConfirmation Letter Address?
when you fill in the question that ask which consulate she is interviewing..state manila consulate. also dont worry much coz NVC wont send her any confirmation, you get all the mails. once you receive your NOA2 give it 2 weeks and start calling NVC to get your manila case number. once you get that you can give it to her so she can proceed with paying her visa fee, do her medical and gather all the docs she needed for her interview. also make sure before she leaves dubai to get her police clearance coz shes going to need that. goodluck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit of Support (I-134)

the petitioner will always be the primary sponsor with a K-1 visa

AgreePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
i know a few that did used co sponsors, most of them newly grads and have their father/parents as co sponsors. they also live with them. It will be up to you to prove that you are capable of getting employed and will be able to support your fiance. so it will help showing them school records as reason why you were unemployed. say you were a full time student?

Theres really no one who can assure you that you will be approved or considered using a co sponsor, it will be all up with the CO who will review your packet/paper works. so have everything to have that you know that will convince him to grant your fiance a visa.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy fiancee is from the Philippines but currently working in Jeddah as a nurse, will this be an issue?

Thanks BrittandDan and RK_and_Inday for your responses. Both make a lot of sense. But just for my peace of mind, i was wondering, after the embassy contacts/sends the forms and checklist to the benificiary how much time does she have to complete the forms and send it back to the consulate? My worry is my fiancee is scheduled to fly back to the Philippines Dec. 30, what if the forms/checklists were sent to her home address say a few weeks earlier? Does the embassy issue a due date for returning all documents and forms? Again i apologize for being so nitpicky, i just want to do everything right the first time.. i'm sure you all can relate. Thanks again! :)

If by any chance your petition got approved by uscis, gets forwarded to nvc and then saudi consulate and she already have to leave back to PI, you can always request to get it forwarded to manila consulate for the rest of the process. I now this coz mine got sent to Bahrain so i had to get it forwarded to manila since i was already there by then.

Philippinesprocessing k1
if you didnt work abroad for more than 6 months you only need NBI clearance instead of police certificate and no you dont need to submit that with your k1 packet, you will need to submit it at the US embassy manila during your interview

PhilippinesNVC - Obtaining Police Clearance Abroad

Oh no, I don't know how to get one from Saudi, I worked there for two years as a nurse and I hope that place is not included to get a police clearance from. :(

i was in saudi for a year and kuwait for 3 years before bahrain...i only had to get bahrain CID clearance which i acquired before going to PI to wait for interview and i did fine. they understand that you cannot obtain a police clearance in saudi so dont worry about it

PhilippinesNVC - Obtaining Police Clearance Abroad

Vj'ers: :help:

Hello, just wanna seek some advice or any info. about police clearance, we're already waiting for NOA2, hope to get ours soon enough. I was reading up on here about CR1 visa to clear our papers for the NVC stage and I've come across this one: Police Certificate is required for any places which beneficiary has lived longer than twelve (12) months in any other country other than country of citizenship, after age of 16.

Is it true? well, I was abroad for more than 2 years for a job that's why I'm really ken to know about it. Is it needed for me to obtain one?
Thank you all and God bless. :innocent: pls... :help:

yes you do need to get one.

PhilippinesLink of Pretty Ladies in FB?

I am sorry I have to air this out, better to say my piece than make myself go nuts with anger.

So I received a message from the admin of the PRETTY LADIES group. Apparently I said something foul to one of the members and that they have blocked me from the group for doing so. (accdg to their guidelines per se) So I replied and copy pasted the wall posts of that said member. I showed the admin how vulgar and tactless this member's words are. Not everyone wants to know her sexual escapades because some people have morals and values that she clearly is lacking. All I did is rephrase her words and make her realize how foul her mouth is. She prides herself from being an English teacher and a professional but her words and actions make her seem no less than a bar girl. Countless times I have seen her pipe in in conversations and brag about her man's goodies.

Not only does she have a dirty mind, but she clearly is lacking from common sense. She saw this post in VJ and could not believe that people will speak out about what is really happening. She just thinks someone is out to ruin the group. So she called the people who reprimanded her for being moralists and being self-righteous.

And guess what the admin did? She blocked me from the group. Why? 'Cause that girl said I was being foul. What is funny is all the words I used, that she thinks is foul, came from the girl herself. It is ridiculous! She got mad because the truth hurts. No matter what explanation I give and evidence to show that all I did is say "no one wants to know that your man is blah blah blah.." I got the boot. Well, it is clear; it's either they don't have any common sense or no good grasp of the English language. They only see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear. They twist your words so it ends up wrong and take it way out of context. I showed her the evidences but it fell on deaf ears and blind eyes.

I don't care that I am no longer in that group. I was gonna leave anyway. I don't care for all their drama. I just find it REALLY funny that I was there right from the start and this is what I get. We were even the ones who suggested creating a group! All that from a status message here in VJ when someone was out looking for friends. We made it grow, made it fun, made it helpful. It wasn't a one person team. It was a GROUP effort. The creator of the group wasn't even there most of the time. Now that it has grown so large, the idea of additional moderators doesn't seem to be grasped by the group owner. People who dare speak out get booted. Kiss their bum and you are saved. So let the walls be filled with filthy mouths and flaming posts and trolls since simpletons thrive in that environment.

And what conviction do the "moral and self-righteous people" get? Guilty. Judged without trial and removed from the group that they themselves created. It doesn't matter that you were once friends and that you once helped her.

Oh well, just another day.

Good bye Pretty Ladies. Good bye to all the negativity and drama. I choose to be happy :)

Aw! Being one of PL's pioneer member, too sad to see that the group whom i used to love seem to be going down the hill. Its unfortunate that Admins made this autonomic decision out of passion just to set an example rather than giving you your due credit for actually trying to be a moderator yourself even if it was by sarcastically repeating her banter in an effort of making her see herself how trashy the words thats coming out of her mouth. Its truly a shame coz she brags all over the entire forum that she is a teacher but unfortunately her behavior doesn't justify otherwise. The true violator of the spirit of the forum was her yet she still stands proud so I dont see this action as being fair and just. Furthermore its a shame that new members can freely bash with other members yet US the original members who originally put up the group all together, stand & guided each other thru out the process are always the one being misunderstood and being watched :(

hello, sorry but as much as i wanted to make an update, be proud & be happy,...theres really nothing to update for. my petition which i filed in july 8th and receive NOA1 july13th 2010, touched in Oct20&21 2010 respectively, since then our case seemed to be abandoned & forgotten to nowhere. im as much as frustrated like everyone else, its too sad that lot of us will be spending the holidays minus the special one of our lives just becoz USCIS doesnt give a damn. I think they already stopped working & all of them are already on a holiday mindset till 2nd week of january 2011 ( oh god have mercy on us)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsLosing faith

OK, I just took some action.

Here is the letter I wrote to my Congress Member:
(personal data redacted)

-------------------------------------------

Dear Congressman *******

I am a petitioner to the BCIS for a K-1 fiance visa for my beloved fiance, Elena ********.

I started to consider the possibility that something was wrong when BCIS took an inordinate amount of time to issue my NOA2, a document that in the past was issued in 4 to 6 weeks.

I then did some research and learned that BCIS now has a misguided policy that is causing substantial harm to all American citizens looking to bring their fiances and spouses home, where they belong, on a K-1 or K-3 petition.

It turns out that BCIS has decided to put processing of all K-1s and K-3s on hold indefinitely so they can instead process charitable applications for immigration from residents of Haiti whose lives were affected by the recent weather events there.

I am not suggesting that the United States should abandon its fine tradition of compassion towards people in other lands who are suffering, but compassion has its limits, and when American citizens are being harmed, those limits have been reached.

A K-1 and K-3 visa application is special. It is special because the Constitutional right of the American citizen applicant to marry as he sees fit and his Constitutional right to expect expedient service from his government are involved. This hold on American citizen petitions while these charity based petitions are being processed has denied these American citizen applicants these rights for months and months on end, with no conclusion in sight.

Until these petitions are processed, the American citizen applicants cannot marry as they see fit and cannot cohabit with their fiances or spouses as they see fit. And the spouses and fiances we love so dearly are denied their right to live in the homes that are rightfully theirs and instead remain trapped in their countries of origin. This is an unacceptable loss of our basic rights as American citizens, and as a citizen and your constituent, I wish to go on record as being opposed to this summary deprivation of our rights by BCIS.

Charitable petitions are a wonderful work of American compassion in action, but these petitions simply must take a back seat to the exercise of the basic rights of American citizens, as all charitable work must take a similar back seat.

I therefore wish for you, my elected representative, to take whatever actions are possible to correct this well intentioned but severely misguided policy of BCIS, to get them to put things in the correct order, and to respect the rights of American citizen K-1 and K-3 applicants to have their petitions processed first, before any consideration is given to any foreign individual, Hatian or otherwise, for the extraordinary privilege of immigrating to our great nation.

I thank you for your kind courtesy and consideration.

Yours truly,

Al****** **********

----------------------------------------------------------

Of course one voice is not nearly as loud as a chorus of voices. So who is with me? Who will write a similar letter to your Congress Member? If you are not a good letter writer, please feel free to cut and paste mine.

We need as many voices as we can on this campaign. We need to show BCIS that we are not going to tolerate this abuse any more. And the more voices we have, the more likely it is we will be noticed.

Please, all of you: Stop playing nicey nice. Stand up for your rights and take action!

So I repeat: WHO IS WITH ME?

nice letter, and yes i am with you. thanks for writing this letter;))
