some of the girls i know from that side flies to manila 3 or 4 days before interview. a fren of mine went straight to St. Lukes right after she got of the plane and checked in to her hotel. Had her first day of medical which went well then had her vaccines the next day. after that she waited for 2 days then its her interview. after she got approved & filled her delivery address she went straight to the airport and flew back in cebu to wait for her visa & do the CFO seminar from there. so yes 1 trip is possible.

Hi All,

When I go to the US Travel Docs website, I see all different headings under Non-Immigrant Visas. However, I do not see K1 Visa or fiance visa, so I just assume it is "other". When the date opened up that I wanted (June 23) I immediately tried to log in, as I had before. Now it said that I had to call. I figured that because I had logged in before but did not select a date maybe my date of payment had canceled out automatically or something and our information needed to be reset.

I was told by the woman on the phone that K1 Visa appointments are considered immigrant visa appointments on their website. She gave me a UID and told me to go on under Phillipines, "non immigrant visa appointments", and then to "modify delivery address of visa". From there, I enter my fiance's PP, the UID, and a password that she gave me. She told me to check until my date becomes available.

I took the opportunity to double check that my fiance's mother had to come to the visa interview. She is 20 years old. She said "no sir". Just 3 weeks prior it was "yes sir"....

Now I am questioning her validity. What if I fly the whole way out there, meet my fiance, go in for the appointment, and they say "What are you, crazy! This is a nonimmigrant visa, you signed up for the wrong appointment!" I would be royally pissed!

If you have any experience, please share.

i feel you, i had that issue before so i just left them blank, when i got to my interview the pre screener ask me to just write none to all of them. its just better filing them out online coz its more neat and readable specially if you have a complicated name spelling or so.

Hi VJ'ers,

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I was informed yesterday by NVC that our case was finished being processed by NVC and that they had sent our case to the London, UK consulate. The problem is that my fiancee (beneficiary) is living in China, not the UK. We were told by NVC that we could contact the US consulate in China and request to have our case transferred from London to China. We think we may have another option though as my fiancee has a valid UK visa and could travel to the UK for the interview/medical anytime after march 15th 2011.

So what should we do: Transfer the case between consulates OR Move to the UK?

Were not sure what we should do. we are worried that transferring the case from London to china could take a long time. So we are thinking that keeping the case in London could save time and get her the K1 faster. However, we are not very familiar with how the London consulate works. We we're expecting to send in our packet 3as soon as our case reached the consulate in china.

Details:
NOA1: Aug 5th
NOA2: Feb 2nd (177 days!)
NVC Sent: Feb 7th or 8th (not sure)
NVC#: LND**********
Beneficiary Citizenship: Chinese

How we screwed this up:
Since we were planning to move to china, we did request the Guangzhou, China consulate on the i129f application and wrote her Chinese address on the i-129f form (under "address abroad" on 129f). However, I was just told on the phone by NVC that because we also provided a London, UK address as her current address when we filed the form (Question#2 on 129f), the case was to the London embassy. We even thought we were fine when we recieved the noa2 as this listed china as our consulate. go figure.

Would really appreciate Other VJ'ers thoughts on our problem here. VJ has been so much help to us already, but I think this time I'm in over my head.

wow! so the amazing stupidity of NVC lives on huh?!?
we had the same, and have tried hard to give them information and begged them not to send our packet to Bahrain after we realized about it thu the case number they gave. we provided the right information, sent them a copy of USCIS letter confirmation of our change of address, sent them multiple emails with the right information, begged them thru phone calls not to send our papers to manama coz its not the right consulate, even our NOA2 states manila. my fiance even got to talked to an A-hole immigration specialist (my @ss) and assured that its on hold, fixable and not to worry and give him a call the next day for our right manila case number but bingo! the next day we found they still forwarded it to bahrain.

we were so mad we wish we could break some neck, scream at their face how stupid they are and that they all nothing but a whole bunch of idiots but thats all we can do. i have cussed & cursed them out a million times in my anger. the worst and most wonderful part is that, they dont wanna be responsible about their stupidity. they said we have to trace our packet, ask that consulate to forward it to the right one and most of all, ask manila consulate to accept it. so far, i have lost words to explain or justify how stupid these people are. they are so amazingly stupid heartless idiots no brainer! everyone is right for saying a monkey can do better.

anyhow, we were ready to contact congressmen & senators but after a few emails to bahrain consulate they replied to us and even called my fiance as soon as they received our packet and instructed us to send someone with a pre paid parcel to put our docs and shipped to manila. luckily the lady at the consular is very nice and helpful she even contacted manila embassy for us.

as of now we are waiting for manila embassy to receive our packet, then email or call them to find out if it will be ok for me to have the interview with them. also we need to talk to them about the case number as we do have the manama ref for now.

anyway, im not sure if our experience can help you or give you some idea on how to deal better in your case. whatever it is, i do wish you good luck and hope you can fix your situation too.

inky is right. its not necessary for AOS but it is for your husband to be able to add you to his bank account that you can use as proof of bonafide marriage. you also need it for him to add you to his lease, insurance, medical. basically, you need ss# to get most docs to be done. so yeah go get it

I think you will be fine. just be confident & calm. show them that you can handle things in a calm way even under pressure. like they said there has been no record of being denied becoz of what is stated on your annullment papers, thats exactly the reason why you will undergo eval for them to see if you are mentally stable and not a threat to harm anyone.

Just wanna share to you all my tears of joy ! I got approved today, me and my kids. Just got off from the US Embassy. The Consul said "happy trip". He is very nice as well as the Filipino pre-screener. I didn't get a hard time. I had a very pleasant and wonderful experience during my interview. I will post details of my interview later as I just can't continue writing for now with an overflowing joy in my heart. My Fiance is very happy to hear the great news! God is good all times.

yeah i been calling the 603-334-0700 number and he said was forwared to consulate in manila. I will try to call again in the morning. but even the noa2 does say it has been approved and forwareded to the listed consulate.


if its forwarded in manila then he should be able to give you a manila case #. insist...try to talk to a supervisor. sometimes these people are so stupid they dont even know what theyre saying.

i have read some forums over here saying that 22 years old fiancees do not really need to have Notarized Parental Advice when attending the CFO in Manila BUT the forums i read were 3-2 years ago... not sure if this CFO have changed their rule for this year that's why i have to make sure..

did you guys have any experience on this one? would really help if Filipinas who have the experience about this would help me out on my question esp to those who were 22 years old when they attended the CFO..

when i had my CFO 6months ago, there was a girl that was asked to have a parental consent letter that shes getting married in the states. ive also heard a few that they werent even asked. so i think it depends with the interviewer. just have her get one ready just incase. if not then much better.

nope not a chance. once its approved by USCIS it gets forwarded to NVC then USEM. your fiance should have made a copy for your reference during interview although at most cases CO dont even ask them coz obviously they have the physical file approved by USCIS. they will only ask you for NBI< BC, CENOMAR, DS forms, new intent to marry, i134 and few proofs of on going relationship

it really depends. some get their visa in as soon as 5working days some get it 15working days. so just be patient. if didnt ask you any additional docs and it means you just have to wait

If you have received your NOA1 for the I-129F, and you have been issued an RFE, then you should have received notification from the USCIS.
You can go to the website below and check the status of your petition using the receipt number on the NOA1 document. They are very timely in updating the status of your petition. At this site you can also sign-up for email and text message notifications.

The embassy in Manila will not know if there is an RFE pending for your petition. They receive the petition after it's approved, and processed by the NVC.

BTW, with a I-129F, no news is good news. You don't have a timeline so can't tell how long you have been without any news. If you get issued an RFE, they will let you know.


Check online status or call USCIS for any update ;)

they asked to see the offical divorce paper with the seal of the court and signature of the clerk of court. They declined to see the scanned copy of it. tho on my cae I have both so I had no problem giving him the official divorce paper. they read it and asked me few questions.


If you submitted original copies at the USCIS and they forwarded that packet to USEM, you not even need it or they may not even ask for it anymore like when i had my interview, although i was ready and have an original copy. if you still have time, i suggest you try to get them, if not, you can take the risk of showing scanned copy and hope they will be satisfied with it.

If they havent cashed your cheque it means theyre not going to work on your case.They will mail you back the entire packet together with your payment enclosed with instruction on what was wrong, how to correct it and a yellow paper that you will mail back again with right amount. Call again tomorow, sometimes those customer service agent doesnt even know what theyre talking about. tell your fiance to ask to be escalated to a supervisor, someone that can tell him more about the case

Good day everyone..

We had our noa2 last nov.4, but before having the the noa2 we already wrote emails to uscis, nvc, manila embassy and riyadh embassy for our request to transfer our case since I am now here in the Philippines. the day we recieved the noa2 my fiance immediately called nvc that he wrote already to manila that we would like our case to be transferred. according to the guy who answered his call, he said no problem, it will be the nvc who will directly send the case to manila, as long long you had a letter to nvc about the request. he said to wait for 2 weeks for us to have the case number. we waited for the case number, then my fiance called on the said day, he asked for the case number, the woman said she cant tell anything to my fiance since his birthday dont match on the records (which is completely absurd coz my fiance had always called uscis, nvc to follow up and his birth date always correct, maybe somehow in processing our case somebody type the wrong number). we send the copy of his passport, drivers license and birth certificate after almost a week it was done, the correction was made.

So, we asked for the case number, they send our case to saudi arabia and giae us the case number in RIYADH!! which we have been informing them not to send it coz we are still waiting for manila embassy to reply to our request. with that they only replied to communicate now in riyadh consulate. we emailed the riyadh consulate and they said they have the file, but it must be the manila who will write a request to them informing them to send the case to manila embassy.

we have tons of emails already to manila, for the said request..and nothing is happening..what are we going to do? i cannot schedule for interview, nor medical exam because what we have is riyadh cse numbr.. pls any advice could really help us


aw! another stupid art of NVC. wow, i cant believe they still do it nowadays. I had the same experience, i was working in Bahrain when we filed and went home a couple of months after we got our NOA1. Have changed address to USCIS, received confirmation notice that our address/consulate had been updated. when we got our NOA2 and we followed up our manila case number, we found out from NVC that of address wasnt changed. called them every for a week, emailed them our notice from USCIS, emailed them our info...F&ckin NVC supervisor said no problem & dont worry its fixed and yet 2 dyas later they gave us a bahrain case number & said our file left & sent to bahrain. i emailed bahrain US embassy and good thing theyre so nice and so we called them to request to forward our case to manila. they told us to send a fren with a paid DHL envelop then they put in our packet, sealed it, and took it to DHL. did emailed manila too but they only said they dont have my packet but 2 weeks later they emailed me back saying file is on their system. so just try to contact riyadh US embassy and ask them again what else you can do or otherwise keep emailing USEManila

oh yeah i had that during my medical and i happened to have left my glasses to so i could barely see when they did eye test so i asked if that would be a big deal and the nurse said no. i was relieved. she asked me if im using eye glasses and i said yes.


anyways, if you havent done the online registration dont worry you can still go even if you only have your manila case #, passport + a copy, copy of noa2 and ofcourse CASH.

i had my interview last 21st of November 2011 and my fiance told me that in US Embassy website says there it's gonna take 1 to 3 days to deliver your passport if your in manila. i'm in santolan pasig but till now we don't have it yet:( is there someone here who live in pasig too? if so, please let me know how long did u wait before having your passport and visa in hand. i'm super excited to see my fiance...

I lived in makati and signed in my address of delivery there too but got mine after 7working days. i had to pick it up from their main warehouse in pasay to make sure i had time to attend CFO the next day and fly to US the next. its really not the same, some people get in 3 days some gets it even after more than 10days

There were cases of K1 category that got thru using co sponsors..it wont hurt to prepare on just incase the CO ask. make it ready, if CO ask for it hand it right away, but if not keep it with you ;)

he can file then request a print out for immigration purpose on which the printout will say he filed already. also provide latest pay stubs, employment letter and just to be sure, prepare a co sponsor form. they always say they dont accept so sponsors but there are instances that it been considered at most times depending on the situation and the interviewing CO

back in the days, you can check on this website if you can acquire a police clearance from a specific country specially middle east if you no longer reside there. thru the info on this site, i was able to waive a police clearance from saudi & kuwait and submitted only the one i request from Bahrain before leaving to PI. Unfortunately, i can no longer find the same info as it has before ( or i wasnt reading well enough) anyways you can try to email them to ask info about how to request a police clearance from Qatar, otherwise she can ask a request letter from USEM, then go to Qatar Embassy in PI to do the biometrics and ask them to help her get a police clearance. if shes not able to as she no longer live there, tell her to asked a written letter informing USEM that shes not qualified on getting a police clearance.

Hi. thanks for the heads up. I actually asked him about the police certificate because i read it somewhere that its needed. He said that at saudi arabia they dont have police certificates and there is now way he's gonna be able to get that. they only have their iqama id. so im quite confused with this as well.


yes you can go ahead and file the k1 visa and yes he can get a police cert as long as he request it before leaving saudi arabia. thats what a fren of mine did. i was in saudi too but i was able to waive it becoz that was long ago and i no longer reside there so theres no way for me to get one.

Also make sure that when he moves back to manila to update your address at the USCIS so they wont be sending your packet to saudi US embassy once its approve like someone in this forum had.

USEM manila doesnt send your fiance the packet. Barely even send an email in time. I receive my eligibilty letter when im already here in the US. Mostly what happens is, once your NOA2 is approve, give it few days then call NVC to request your manila case number and find out if your packet is already forward to USEM. Once you have your manila case number, your fiance can go ahead and do her medical, pay her visa and sched her interview online.

With regards to your income, current income is more important than the past years even if they require to see 3year ITR copy. So if your above poverty level for the current year, thats what matters the most. you may have to add a copy of your employment cert to prove and convince them your still very employed and making a good amount to support your family, current pay stubs will also help and if you have doubt you can also prepare a co sponsor. they always say they dont accept it but at some circumstances they actually do. They did take my passport, and no no additional documentation needed. they just wrote that they were going to 'SEE OVER' the documentation.

they have your passport and no required additional docs so just wait. they may only need some re verification with your packet...standard procedures as they say. normally it varies from 2-3 weeks then you will get your visa. try to email them after 2 weeks to follow up. goodluckPosted Image
