I think this may help here too.. Hopefully I am not over doing it, but I found myself as stress as she is.. They have been posting delays US Embassy is experiencing in returning the stamped passport to their holders. Apparently, TNT?? is taking a little longer than the normal in returning this document on time back to the embassy consequently, fiancées are having anxiety moments specially if airfare was purchased prior interview. We all know the consequences if you don’t have a stamped passport the day of traveling.. Airfare changes and extra expenses.. If you have not had your interview and not purchased your air ticket, allow enough time specially since the holidays are approaching. If you already have your air bill, and your interview is coming up, find out the fastest way the embassy can authorize your Visa Stamp, even if it means extra cost [R$] vp Thanks that is very helpful because once the interview is set, I plan to buy the ticket, otherwise it would cost too much. I do hope they still have some times before January, but I seen some of the same posts of interviews in January. Oh well. On another hand, a lot of late August petitions and early September's were appoved specifically on October 14th. VSC approves several a day, they might not appear right away, because it depends on people actually updating their timeline!!! OMG I cant stop checking every 10 minutes... lol!!! I started my AOS process, and thought I should come and check on everyone, but for all I am have checked so far seems like everyone is doing well. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	Hi Everyone, Sorry for my long absences as of late. I just got back from Brazil with Alice. I can't even believe that she is here, seems surreal. LOL Anyway, just wanted to report a couple of things. I went to Brazil for the interview, I was so excited, our interview was on the 21st at 7:45am. We were in front of the Consulate at 6:15am (there was already a line). We finally got in the consulate at 8:20am. The first part in the consulate were workers gathering all the materials that needed to be taken, we then waited until about 10am when the Consul started interviewing. We were both very nervous. Then out of the blue through one of the windows the Consul officer was there waving at me, and turned out he is a friend of mine. Needlessly to say, I got interviewed by another officer, but I thought it was wild. My interview was quick and to the point. In 10 minutes we were approved. Afterwards we requested an expedited delivery of the visa (in Rio you are not allowed to pick the visa up, you have to use the courier service). Last wednesday we received the envelop with her passport and visa, as well as some sealed paperwork to give at the port of entry. We came in via Atlanta, the officer was supper friendly asked 2 questions and sent us to another room. There another officer took the sealed envelop typed something into the computer checked a couple of things, and then handed her the passport and said that she has 90 days to tie the knot. Then we grabbed our luggage, and it was scanned by a huge machine, and then we were in the US. So no hassle at all. Cheers, Luis PS: I will slowly catch up on the posts... But I am super happy!!! I would say it was a version number... Our packet 3 was called Packet 3 though it stated the date of this version.. Like packet 3 as of February 2009 ..
