K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I need advice.	I have not read anywhere the meeting has to be in her home country it just says I have to meet her once in 2 years it does not say where Yes that is what people are saying to you sir. Getting a tourist visa for a Filipina to the USA is next to impossible, almost like hitting the lottery. They have to establish strong ties to the Philippines. Such as land, a job, a house. My fiance got denied for a tourist visa last year even though she had return tickets in her hand. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Taxes and Salary	No. It will not be an issue when the interview happens. All she has to show is your tax statements for the previous years. Because you are military you are held to a different standard than the rest of us income wise. Your tax statement will show what is "Taxable Income" and what isn't. Also you can send her a copy of you LES to show them, and we both know that it will show all your deductions and allowances. United Kingdom	Wait Time for Appointment Letter (London Embassy)	Just out of curiosity,did you state a wedding date ?      Yes, we did. We stated Oct. 26 as a wedding date when we sent the forms. United Kingdom	Wait Time for Appointment Letter (London Embassy)	Here is our timeline:   Aug. 27 sent Packet 3 forms Aug. 29 forms received by embassy Sep. 3 medical  Sep. 6 medical results logged Oct. 1 Packet 3 forms finally logged Oct. 2 received interview date for Oct. 10   I'm not sure why but it took nearly a month for the Packet 3 forms to be logged after they were received. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for how long the process takes once they receive all of the forms and medical results.
