2) just hand in a proof that both numbers belong to her. for example one of her bills with the old number and one with the new number. it should also have her name on there so that they see its really her number. and if youre still concerned just write a short statement that she had to change her number.

they took some blood for HIV and syphillis, i didnt have to pee in a cup.... chest xray for tb and you have to show proof of all your vaccinations!
packet 3 will have info about the medical and the required vaccinations. just a tip from my side, get all of them in your home country since they can be expensive here..... and make sure they give you a copy of the ds3025 after your medical so you can get that info transfered to the I693a for your aos application!

yes, eveybody needs a passport to travel! getting a green card does not mean youre a us citizen and get a us passport. you can file for naturalization after holding your gc for 3 years but before that youre still a citizen of your home country and have to hold the corresponding passport.
another thing, when youre fiance wants to enter the us she will need a passport that is valid for at least another 6 months from the day of entry!

as far as residence in the last 5 years: list all addresses you have lived even if you didnt change addresses on your id/passport etc.
for resicence outside the us for more than one yea: list your addresses in egypt (since this is not us territory) but i wouldnt list the one in kuwait cause you havent been ther for more than a year yet
when you fill out forms the time you fill them out is present, you dont have to go in the future.....
will you stay in kuwait until you have the visa and then move from there?

its not really the airlines choice! if the country someone is flying to does require that for immigration/customs/security reasons then the airline has to have an eye on that so they dont get in trouble! i had a lady standing next to me at the check-in in frankfurt germany that wanted to fly to the usa but the airline didnt let her because her passport was valid for just 3 months.......

other than the already mentioned fees, you will also have expenses such as copying evidence, printing forms, mailing costs, passport pics, eventually international drivers license, any translations you might need for the visa process or for attending school/university in the states, traveling to the civil surgeon and back, traveling to the embassy and back..... and not to forget the ticket to get here........

i dont know if her employer in india can help her get a h1-b for the states? ive only heard that a us employer can sponsor someone and file that kind of visa, not sure if its working the other way around though.
if she can get a work visa id recommend not filing the k1 to save money, plus the work visa doesnt take as long and when you get married in the states while shes here on a work visa you can adjust status and file for a green card.

it means that once the 129f petition is approved by uscis you have to send your fiance the originals of all documents that were sent to uscis with the 129f package (you should have send in copies of all the supproting documents and keep the originals)
your fiance will need the originals at the interview stage in canada. it is obvious though that you shouldnt send her your passport, a copie of it (maybe notarized) should be sufficient
everything else you can not send in its original you should copy and get it notarized.....
id recommend posting this in your regional thread too so you will get better information since people there already went through the process....

you cant just make copies of the G325a to get 4 versions of it!!! every page will have a different code/number on the lower corner, every page will be forwarded to different sections at uscis.
when you fill out the first page in the pdf file it will automatically fill your info in on the other pages, then print it!
as far as the signatueres, i would sent in original signatueres. better safe than sorry!

first of all, what kind of visa are you applying for?
if you applied for a k1 and you just got the noa1 you cant do much, just wait until youll get approved. your part is as good as over. your significant other will be contacted by mail by the us embassy in frankfurt with insturctions and forms that he needs to fill out and documents he needs to gather. also you have to prepare an affidavit of support to show that you have enough money to support him when he comes here. remember though, all documents need to be up to date so dont get them ready to soon.

@canadian wife i think for the initial I129F stage you just need to show 100% of the poverty line. later when you submit another affidavit of support for the aos stage you need to show 125%. at least thats what my regulations were for getting a k1 through germany!

there is no way to change the kind of visa! you need to cancel one and then file another kind!
why did you even file for a FIANCE visa if you knew you would get married in singapore anyways? just because it seems faster?
if the us citizen also lives abroad, why didnt you do direct consular filing? im not sure that filing a k-1 with the petitioner not residing in the us is even possible.....

if sweden is under the vwp and you can enter the us for 90 days without having to apply for an actual visa it could work for you to visit your fiance! a friend of mine went several times and was never asked any questions about her pending application for a K1 visa. she did have enough binding ties (such as lease, letter from employer, insurance cards, cellphone contract....) back to germany though if they would have questioned her return!
there are already so many posts where people ask if it is possible and the answeres are always the same: there have been people where it worked out, but there were also people that were denied entry..... i dont think its a big deal as long as you have enough proof that you will definitly return!

it basically means print two G325a's, each consisting of the 4 pages, have the beneficiary sign both versions. then fill out one G325a and sent it in with the other stuff. the 2nd version is just as back up, uscis likes to loose forms at time and having a back up with original signature will make it a lot easier and quicker...

it doesnt matter when you initially met your so for the first time, the only thing that does is that you have to have met in person within the past 2 years (from time of filing) to be able to file for a k1! from reading your post you last saw each other 2008, you therefor fulfill the requirement and are able to file!

is there a reason why you want to file beginning of 2010? it normally takes 5-8 month to get a k1 for a german citizen, so you could file earlier than anticipated and leave germany right after you finish your studies! just my 2 cents smile.gif
