So cleaning your temporary/cache/cookies files will fix it, but it comes back... So what I do is, I hit the backward button, you'll see you can actually log out, so Sign Out, and then log again, and finally it works. Are you guys logging from the US or a different country? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Fiance just had interview, not sure of how it went...	So after stressing out for weeks my fiance just got back from her interview (Paris embassy) and was in tears over it. I had been working as a software engineer for several years but got laid off a few months back. The final interviewer was telling her that we might not have enough money (though they kept her passport and didn't say that anything was denied). She noticed that another person that was there left the same day with a packet, but they told my fiance that they would send everything to her in the mail and to wait 2 weeks. Does this sound ominous, or is this just the usual grilling they give out for the interview? I included my savings statements from my banks (about $45,000), and her savings (about $5,000). Should I have gotten my mother and/or father to send in a statement of support as well? Is it too late to fax in my parents letter of support in to the embassy? Thanks for any advice! Paris consulate is always "mysterious" about the interview result. But nobody gets their visa the same day, the Chronopost enveloppe is usually sent back to you within 10 days. From my experience and what I read, Paris embassy is not so exigeant about income requirements. So my guess is that the CO advised that you might get a problem at AOS stage which is understandable. So try to look for a co-spondor asap. Worst case scenario, they ask you for a cosponsor but I'm pretty sure your fiancé/e will get the package back with visa in 10 days or so. My trip was exhausting, and when I finally went through immigration, unfortunatly they failed to give/staple my i-94 on my passport. Which prevents me to apply for SSN and AOS. I am so angry at myself, I was exhausted and I asked "Isn't there something missing in my passport?" The agent said no, this is it. Now we called the immigration office at the airport today and they say I have lost it... They don't want to re-issue one, they say they want to wait for evidences, if I lost it or they didn't issue it, and for now, they can't find any record about me in their system. But I know that's because this is what we've done for the last 6 and a half years. Always on the run. Being here for good feels almost surreal. This is my dream... It will only be a small ceremony held in a chapel on a military airforce base. Unfortunately there will be nobody to attend since both our families are far away from here and there's no time to bring them all. But it's ok. I have arranged with the priest to have the laptop with us and broadcast the ceremony online so all our loved ones could see us. :-) We got our wedding rings a few days ago. For some reason (maybe because we had to do it so fast) I don't feel like I am getting married. It feels more like completing a task. hehehe On the other hand it may be that we already feel like we are married to each other since we spent so many years together. Well, I wish everyone all the best and to those still waiting for approvals may your journey be as smooth as ours was. Being able to get the visa is more important than the marriage itself, as without the visa we're not able to get married... Two years of a long distance relationships have sucked our savings dry so we really don't have extra money for any reception. Plus my monkey and me don't really have familly, we're rootless people. Though our friends insist on making a little one for us I got my visa in hand last week, but I'm not done with the moving organisation at all. I wish I could also just pack two suitcases... But it's way more complicated for me. And I certainly don't have the time or the energy to organize a real wedding reception anyway. And to be fully honest, I don't really care, all I want is to be able to start a new life with my monkey, getting married is just one task in the process like you said. Maybe later, we'll do another ceremony, like vows renewal or something, which will have more meaning to us. Well, maybe it's just personnal, I never dreamt of a big wedding and a long white dress... Im sooooo excited! We're nearly together forever! Ahhhh! Hoolala Rachel !!! Wooooh!!! That is so great, and that is only in 19 days! Oh my god, will you be ready? More seriously, the interview stage is really painless for us lucky european people. So don't streeeeeeeeessssss!!!!!! The night before I went, in my bed I reviewed my documents in my head like 235262465745 times, even in my dreams... Then again, I reviewed them in the bus... and the next day, after the interview, I thought, hmmm where were the paystubs...? Guess what...? My monkey forgot to send me the copy of his paystubs!!! o_O He made another "mistake" on his affidavit (the 3rd version already) which I'm too ashamed to tell. Still, it went very well! I guess, Tax transcripts and employer letter were enough already. Since the lady told me "Oh that's more than enough documents". It went well, it was just very boring, I had to sit and wait like two hours totally... The embassy was closing for the new year, so agents and consul were trying to go fast. I could notice I was getting a "fast forward" version. I got 4 questions "What does your fiancée do for a living, what do you do, where are you going to live, what do you plan to do there? Visa in mail in 10 days, good luck!" Even though I'm really happy this is over (for now), I have to say it was a real pain to deal with this during the holiday season...! Everything is either crowded or closed... I wanted to give my leave notice for my appartment today and I couldn't find a opened Post office... I barely could organize anything for myself except a few days during Christmas with my familly... It's been two weeks I'm running everywhere like a chicken with head cut off. But oh well... One thing is sure Rachel, it will be a lot more peacefull for you to deal with this after the New Year. London seems a very slow embassy.. Well I guess there are much more petitions that end up there. Rachel is right, they probably do things in batch, so it's a matter of luck also. I sent my packet 3 on November 13th, and I haven't heard anything back yet. Which is normal... Holiday season has started for retail stores, and work is horrible for me... I'm not sure how I am going to survive these last upcoming months. Phew... The waiting makes everything so much harder... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2009 Filers	Last time I went to the USA, I went to the vet' to check my little ferret, she was more than 6 years old and she hasn't seemed very well for a while, and I wanted to make sure before I'd leave her to a friend for two weeks. It was making me very anxious, because I doubted she could survive such a long trip. 6 years is old for a ferret. Finally the day before I was supposed to fly, I headed to the vet. She had cancer... Vet said she could hope to live for 3 months max with heavy medication. In a blink, I had to make an horrible decision. I couldn't leave her to my friend like that, with the medication. It was during the summer, it was getting hot, and I could see she was suffering. So I decided to put her to sleep. It was my last day at work before vacation and I was supposed to finish and close a lot of files... All I did was crying all day long... Then I went home, and I started to dismount her cage and put away all her stuffs. I managed to cut myself very badly... On the way to the airport, I was still crying... I managed to loose my little neckband cushion thingy in the gates waiting room, more crying... I was the last one to get into the plane (because I tried to find my neckband back....) The air hostess said "I've got a good news for you! you're upgraded to business class!", MORE crying! We're here now, but speaking for myself, it's been more than a year I'm planning this journey, and I started to plan it thinking she would come with me... I'm not sure it's a bad thing we don't spend the holidays together, it's the busiest time for both of us. I prefer we save our little pennies and we go on a nice honeymoon. Batta, I would let 4 or 5 business days before I get worried I get no answer. Montreal is one of the busiest embassies (if not the busiest). Everything will be fine, it probably will take longer than expected but I'm sure it will be fine. I've got my packet 3 today!!! Earlier than I expected it! Can you believe I spent like 4 hours to fill that DS-230 form....? I'm wondering how people who are like 50 years old manage this. Well, I moved 17 times in my entire life so you can guess the mess... I had to dive in my old paperwork, I hate that... But it's done now, and I'll send it tomorrow! You give your old USCIS case number to the NVC agent and they give your their new case number they have assigned to your case (if they have received it of course). That new case number is precious because you'll need it to fill a form for your embassy. You should be able to call on Monday. For example, I got my NO2 on a Monday, we called on Thursday, they had just received it, then we called again on Tuesday and they told us the package left the day before.
