Getting your NVC number. Call NVC at 1 (603) 334-0700. Put this number on speed dialits often busy, and youll use it a LOT. Once your package has been scanned, it COULD update into the AVR (automated voice response system). If it is uploaded to the AVR, you will be able to retrieve it with your CIS Case Receipt Number. If is scanned but not in the AVR, an operator can tell you the NVC number. The AVR is NOT reliable (we've seen some cases being completed without the AVR ever updating their case). If it's been longer than 2 weeks and you still don't have your NVC case number, start sending up flares. Call NVC and talk to a supervisor. Be prepared to send them a copy of your NOA2. Once your case number has been assigned call back and speak to an operator. Give them an e-mail address for you and for your spouse. From then on NVC will e-mail you any correspondence. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - November 2013	actually my wife USC has filed the case and  i am the beneficiary, she's reluctant to call NVC to know about our case..that;s y i am getting the info from VJ members so i will be able to tell her what she do the best..becuz she is thinking that she will get the hardcopy and something else about assigning the case #... Read the shortcut links at the beginning.. Calling is the fastest way to gather all your info.. Also looking at other people's timelines it appears it is taking 10-20 days to recieve the case # after NVC recieved the I-130.. I am personally still calling everyday but all signs points to 10-20 days to get my case #.. Hint: Not once since I have called have they asked me if I was the petitioner or beneficiary.. Then if putting N/A in the blanks doesn't cause a checklist but leaving it blank might cause a checklist.. It would make sense to do it no matter what the instructions say.. Please read through all the posts. I recommend even going back 3 months of NVC threads and reading. 3 hours of reading might save you 20 days of replying to a checklist. It personally saved me from getting one. Just read and see what people got checklists for and do not make the same mistakes. If you happen to get a checklist, please share it so others will not. However when i login to check if the AOS/DS260 fees are Invoiced i get the message:   "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - January 2014	We did the e-notification and we received our NOA1 through email but nothing about NOA2 yet.   Strange... You should have received it since you got your NOA1 in email unless there is just a glitch in the system (which possible could be)  You can.. 1.  Check your email spam folder 2.  Call and talk to a tier 2 rep and request the email notification (I always say tier 2 but a tier 1 might can do it)   But it might be a waste of time to request it because your hard copy should arrive soon though..  If it says approved online when you check the status then I would not worry to much	TimandAna	Male	El Salvador	2014-01-15 22:31:00

When my husband called they said that they sent out the package to NVC but honestly I don't have very high expectations that they tell us what is actually happening. I would just love something in black and white that they have approved our petition because it all sounds too good to be true.   I sent in a G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance with my I-130 petition and also signed up online for case status updates...   Depending on what your husband submitted and signed up with will depend if you receive the acceptance email... Im new to the NVC stage When the USCIS transfers the case to NVC do you receive an email stating this! How does one know?   Congrats!!!   Make sure you read posts 1 and 2 in the topic.   Unfortunately you will not receive a email or any correspondence when NVC receives your case.  Sometimes it is fast and sometimes the service center sends them slowly.   Some people say it was updated on the website.  But for most of us you will have to call the NVC and give them your MSC receipt number to find out when they received it.  (Then follow the steps in post 1 and 2)  If it seems like a long wait then some people call a USCIS tier 2 representatives to find out when the case was "physically shipped" not just "shipped to the mail room". IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - January 2014	Little tip paying and sending documents for you really pathic people like me that that believe one or two day wait is another day I can not have back..  This is my personal experience so may be different for others.   1.  Check payment portal 3 or 4 times a day 2.  Pay ASAP but make sure you enter your correct bank account and routing number (there has been nightmare stories of people not doing this) 3.  Have the receipt and cover sheet emailed to you (for your records and able to print easier) 4.  Check your bank account frequently (mine showed a ACH hold of funds which gave me the green light to submit my packages) 5.  Soon as you see the funds removed from your account send the package overnight with tracking (The very next day the payment will show paid) 6.  Check the tracking. (The day they sign for it... The system will show you sent mail for your case 2 days later and that is when the clock starts waiting for review)   Tip:  People mailing overnight packages on Friday (They will not receive packages on Sat or Sun because they are closed!)  Tell your mail carrier you want it delivered on Monday.  (I put that as part of my instructions and guess mail carrier did not read the instructions and delivered both days Saturday and Monday)   The worst horror story I read was about this person that paid but did not have enough money in the bank.  The person sent the package immediately after getting the cover sheet.  The payment and package was rejected.  Then the person went to pay again but the website would not let them.  Then they had to contact NVC which contacted tech support.   Short story: HUGE DELAY....   My advice is to make sure funds are in your account, use the correct bank account numbers, and ensure the payment is actually being taken out of your account before you submit the package. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - January 2014	Hi everyone, I just payed for the AOS fee and is in process and the coversheet they have on the payment portal does not have a barcode on it. How do I get the barcoded coversheet. Does it only become available once the payment is processed?   The bar code sheet is available immediately when you pay and you don't have to wait till your payment is processed... If your having trouble viewing it online, then there is a place to get it emailed it to you (That's what I did). So my AOS did not have a checklist?  No, only recieved it for your civil documents So is my AOS completed?  Yes, you do not need to do anything else with it When will you review my civil documents?  Please allow us 30 buisness days from reciept of mail to review it Do I get a copy of this checklist or AOS complete?  You will recieve a email in 3-5 buisness days When will you send me emails for my case?  You will recieve email in 3-5 buisness day if you have a checklist on your AOS or IV and also we are required to send you a email 1 month prior to interview.   Then she tells me to relax that she knows im anxious to be with my wife but my AOS was just completed Monday so it is fresh.  I'm so glad NVC has more patience than NBC/USCIS... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - January 2014	Our i130 has already been approved, do we need to provide the original birth certificate of the Petitioner at NVC stage or during the interview???    Nothing of the petitioner's documents will be needed at the NVC stage except for his financial stuff for the AOS.  Be prepared though there is a lot of documents needed for the beneficiary/applicant and if you have not gotten all them yet hurry up to help speed things along   One more question, my husband has been working at the same company for the past 8 years, he has his recent pay stubbs and the tax documents he thinks that those two should be sufficient and no need for employment letter. Will it be a problem if we dont get the employment letter? Is it a must? It does say optional somewhere. Any thoughts?  I researched this all over the internet.  Yes, The I-864EZ instructions say it is not required unless specifically asked for.  Basically what I found out is if you want a guarantee of no checklist on this item then include both.  Some people send niether paystubs or employment letter and have no problems.  Some people send pay stubs and still get a checklist.  I have not read anywhere when someone has sent both pay stubs and employment letter and they have gotten a checklist for this item.  What they require changes per person because everyone's situation is different. I got a checklist today that I believe its a false one, because it states that they need me to reply to the other checklist which i did and i've received. So i'm confused whether or not they'll actually look at it sooner or they'll make me wait the 20 BD That sux to wait all over again.. I am worried about getting a checklist on the AOS also.. I did the EZ and all looked good but I didn't submit pay stub or employment letter because it said optional.. Hopefully they just say bring to interview.. When I asked when to expect the IV fee to post they said I would have to wait up to 3 weeks, is this accurate? What has everyone else been waiting after submitting the DS 261 for IV bill to post?   Thanks, I flew through everything as fast as possible right before Christmas and the bad weather.. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Hi everyone i am new to this forum, I am an April 2013 filer.	my husband is a us citizen we started the journey April 2013, now our case is @ NVC. My husband send in all the necessary documents and Aos. I called yesterday and i was told they received our package on the 13th of this month, but it has not yet been reviewed. Any idea when i would get a reply that they reviewed it, or is all ok with the AOS package so far but needs a second opinion why they have to review it? Any experienced response would be very helpful thanks.  Welcome fellow April filer like me! They say it takes 30 business days to review your mail but it is usually shorter. They will not send you a reply that it's review and everything is good. They will only send you a reply if something is missing. With NVC no news is good news. Haha.
