K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresnever met fiance
Well, you would need to apply for a wavier, and a wavier for the meeting requirement is rarely granted. I guess it depends on your situation, but its not very likely you will be able to get a petition approved without meeting.

Fwaguy is doing a wonderful service to us at his own time and expense. He is appreciated more than he will ever know. Thank you, Fwaguy. (F)
Fukarse, ( Sadly, there is no emoticon for scalping ) , so this will have to do : :bonk:

K-1 Time lines as of 3.10.07

A waste of time, IMHO... but knock yourself out.

If I am a November or December filer, I already know where I stand  If I am a January, February or March filer, the list tells me nothing that I don't already know with 10 seconds of effort at this website. If I am a January, Februrary or March filer, I want to know this:

Fri Feb 9, 2007

Nov cases : 58% (42/72)

Dec cases : 0% (0/55)

Fri Feb 16, 2007

Nov cases : 76% (56/74)

Dec cases : 0% (0/57)

Fri Feb 23, 2007

Nov cases : 82% (64/78)

Dec cases : 09% (6/67)

Fri Mar 2, 2007

Nov cases : 91% (69/76)

Dec cases : 30% (27/71)

Fri Mar 9, 2007

Nov cases : 90% (69/77)

Dec cases : 56% (40/72)

Tells me a HECK OF A LOT MORE (with less work and la la) about what I really care about: case and approval movement

P.S.
If you're staring at those numbers, wondering what they all mean, it says that CSC has been working hard moving cases every week. And it says that if you're a CSC February filer asking about touches and NOA2s already, you need to get a life.

We all here do have a life. It's just we can't wait to be together with our loved ones. The process could corrupt the brains so sometimes we ask for things that already have an obvious answer, however we keep on asking about it. :)

LOL. Yeah, I guess. The negativity gets to you when you want to try to be positive for those who needs most.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresUg... is this really going to take 7 months??

People will always ask the same question, you know what ? because they don't want to risk of making a mistake in the visa process. I know they have read here and there for guides, but I understand the side of a soothing feeling to have an answer from someone who have had the experiences here. I'm sure everyone is educated here in school, but in this agonizing process sometimes your brain goes kaput and it's filled by questions, so why not ask for help. Many people here are nice and they still give replies though they might read same questions being asked over and over for months now. That's one thing you need to deal around here whether you like it or not. And if you can't help then don't reply.

and some people when they cannot add any meaning to a message they must end it with a mean arrogant rude saying against a person

Oh really .. you're just being too sensitive then

No. It's because we have new members! :energetic:

Yes maybe but I remember it say if you a new member it good if you look for answer before you ask... maybe i wrong but i want to be understand of this so i read everything rather than be nurse from a bottle. If i dont do this then i will never educate myself but this is how i was teached in school. just me i think

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion
If you intend to complete the visa process, you have to stay in the country once you enter, until you recieve Advanced Parole or your Green Card. If you really want to have a honeymoon outside the US, it might be a better idea to do that before you enter the US, otherwise you have to wait.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshi
It depends on how quickly you plan to leave here after you get your visa. Some people leave right away, others take a couple months to finish up buisness before leaving. If its customary where you are to give a months notice, Give the notice as soon as you receive the visa and make flight arrangments for just after that.

Some consulates will provide a list of certified translators. Like this: http://www.usembassy...Translators.htm

The list if its on the web site may be hard to find. Contacting the consulate may be easier.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures-newbie question- official Fee chart?
1. More or less, it takes about the same time regardless.
2. There are fees for different forms, all the fees are listed here: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD
3. Ok, this is a little tricky. For most visas, you can enter the country and get married and file for adjustment of status IF you don't enter with the intent to marry. I think there are certain visas that are dual intent that allow you to get married anyway.
4. Most people here file the petitions themselves. Unless you have complications in your case an attorney or agent is not nessary. Normal fees seem to be $1000+ but it varies.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresChild Support being paid in Denmark
I don't think it will cause any problems with the K-1 Visa. But your fiance would most likely still be responsible for paying it according to the laws in Denmark. While those laws may not be exactly enforcable while in the US, neglecting this responsiblity could cause problems if your fiance ever traveled back to Denmark. As long as he keeps paying it as long as he is responsible, he should have no problems.

The consulate will take care of any extension, normally they will do this automatically, but it wouldnt hurt to double check with them.

My happiness for you is indirectly proportional to my anger at the disparity between service center processing times. I think I'm going to develop somekind of dual personality disorder: I'm so happy for you and so exceedingly pissed off for the rest of us in the West.

You go girl - get your man here and live happily ever after!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresthank everyone
1. I'm not entirely sure if it needs to be disclosed, usually the petition limits are placed on the petitioner not the beneficiary. It might be better to make sure its disclosed and the reasons why it was abandoned, just in case questions arise.

2. Anything under 18 shouldn't affect the process now. But you may have to disclose or file a wavier for criminal convictions that have happened later. You will probably get better advice from an immigration attorney on this matter. You should be ok, but you might have to do some extra paperwork.
