USCIS Service CentersHere's the Scoop with processing.........
If they do move the petitions over, I doubt it will increase processing times much, depending how they are set up, it may even decrease them.

If your case is about to be processed, it may just get processed at CSC instead of being sent to NSC. Anything received a certain date would get moved to NSC. But dont take this is the law, just speculation at this point, wait until the USCIS says something about the case processing changes.

USCIS Service CentersUSCIS - How do I talk to a real person

Be aware that the 1-800 number is also referred to here as the MIS-information line! The information they give out is consisently wrong. If you have a general question you might be better off asking the folks here in the K1 forum.

There are two diffrent call centers that you might be able to connect to by calling that line. If you follow the prompts above, you will go to the national call center which may or may not be able to tell you much about your case. But after you file and have a case number, you can follow the problems for questions about a request for evidence, You will be asked for your case number and then get connected to the call center at the service center your case is at. They tend to have better information.

USCIS Service CentersConfusion re service centres
You send it to the service center they ask you to send it to, but thats not where it may end up being processed.

With all the changes and fees, processing times I would guess are probably up in the air for both service centers. The timeline data on this site, applies to the recent past. With all the changes, it may not be a very good indication of the immediate future. You should probably hear something in about 3 months. Its hard to say at the moment.

QUOTE (stephncorrie @ Feb 22 2008, 01:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I thought that I was supposed to file with the Nebraska Service Center, but now I see that I file in California on this site http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

I dont know which one is right, I live in Minnesota

K-1 is filed in California (for Minnesota) directly. Texas and Nebraska don't accept K-1s anymore

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)I-601 waiver
I think that depends on why the visa was denied.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Overstay on F-1
Assuming that you went out of status Sept 15, 2006 and left Jan 1 2007, you may not need a wavier since you are not actually facing a ban. Unless your dates are wrong and you had actually overstayed more than 180 days.

A 3 year ban is given for a 180 day or more overstay. 10 year ban for an overstay of a year or more. You only need a wavier if your facing a ban.
