K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresApplication Receipt Number?
Michele,

I know my case number started with an EAC, followed by (I believe) ten digits. You can try to see if that ALC number works on the USCIS site, but that's just a thought. I'm the type that would try every single combination of numbers from the back of the check. ;)

Hopefully you'll receive your NOA1 soon, regardless. Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiling in I129 Question- where you intend to live
Hee, that sounds fine; we put down my fiance's parents' house for question 14 as well. My fiance and I will be planning to stay at his parents' house for the short-term, because his mother is currently unwell and we'd like to be around to take care of her. Also, we feel that's more practical for settling our respective debts and saving towards a house.

Don't worry, there's always a few out there who share some form of your situation! :D

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresongoing relationship
I know I visited my fiance for two weeks in PA between the NOA1 and NOA2, and subsequently we received our NOA2 while I was there. Part of the documentation we submitted in our package to USCIS was the itinerary for that specific trip. I know that it wasn't noted on our application that I was planning to visit him after we submitted our package, but I would guess that it definitely helped to prove that we had an ongoing relationship. :)

While Bee was steadily toiling away at work tonight, my in-laws decided to invite over for dinner their best friend's daughter who'd recently been in England for the past six months. Severely awkward and stressful for me, considering that she used to date Bee, and is considered with the in-laws to be the daughter that they never got to have.

I would give my right arm for a Cuban smoke right now. Ugggggggghh. dry.gif

I might take a break. *sigh* I'm getting extremely desolate just thinking about my AOS and how paperwork stuff has been messing up since I moved here. The congressman's office has promised to look into it, but seeing as how things have gone lately I can't help but think that it's just going to get worse, like they'll accuse me of wasting their time or something. And I'm trying to get an internship in the meantime just to keep myself occupied, but sadly there's been no luck there.

It's getting very tiring to just sit at home, play video games or watch TV, wait for Bee to come home from his evening shift with dinner prepared and laundry done. Such is the price you pay for this process, but I can't help but feel incredibly frustrated at it. The prospect of looking forward to this for months is daunting. I'm trying to keep my chin up, but it's hard sometimes.

The worst part is that my family back home keeps pressing me about whether I've found a job yet, and I keep telling them, "My paperwork hasn't gone through yet." I've told them specifically that it could take a few months, and all they can do is ask about my job. It's honestly starting to become very stressful to talk to them even though I understand that they're just concerned.

I just feel horrible because I know I haven't really posted anything other than vents and I wish there was something good I can talk about... um, other than the fact that I found crackers from a Vancouver catering company at the grocery store the other day. Boy did that make me homesick. And boy were they also expensive wink.gif

Thanks for all the well-wishes and hugs, everyone. I've been stressing so much about this whole situation that I haven't been able to get to sleep at night. Made for an interesting day at the eye doctor's today tongue.gif

Ooops...what an inopportune time to hit send! Anyway, I guess I"m thinking that you're getting an I-693 vacinnation supplement request? Did you get one of those done by a civil surgeon here? If you did, send them another copy. If you didn't and just copied your DS whatever to send to them, I think I've read where it's suggested that you "might" get away with them accepting this, but if you're RFE'd, you're screwed, and you'll have to send it to them. I know nothing about this TB stuff. I know that I just got my GC a few months ago, and then, as well as during the process, no one ever said anything about any TB skin test.

The whole SSN number thingy is all screwed up and I didn't read what happened when you went to the Philly airport. Did they change your Y-1 status to K-1?

I'm probably not answering any of your questions, so if you don't feel like explaining, then don't. Bawl...crying is good for one's soul. Eat ice cream with whatever toppings are your favourite. Relax...do whatever you have to do.

I got everything sorted out at the Philly airport on Friday, so now I'm actually in the system as a K1. I did send them an I-693A with my AOS package as well as the DS-3025 (doubly covered!). The RFE is for a full medical exam - they want a I-693, which means that they don't have a record of my K1 medical exam. Which means that it got lost during the POE. *sigh*
