US Embassy and Consulate Discussionpacket 3 and 4
Packet 3 is the checklist mailed to your non-USC's fiance from his/her consulate after receiving the approved petition from the NVC.

Packet 4 is the interview appointment letter that comes from the consulate after the contents of Packet 3 have been completed and returned by the non-USC fiance.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionCan we start the Medical/Vaccination early?
Keep in mind that the vaccinations listed are also age-specific, so you won't have to get all of those.

Congratulations Sutton!! Ask them for a week later and we can go together whistling.gif

I just printed off a few emails, ones that talk about what are plans are and such. In the latest reviews it seemed they didn't really even check the evidence......I printed off cell phone usage...and have boarding passes. I got carried away and whittled it down alot.

I know at my interview they only asked to see the photos, even though I brought way more than just that. wacko.gif

Of course, every case is different...

I would definitely try to scale that down. 700+ pages is a bit much. Have you considered just taking evidence from each month that you've been together (or, just filling in the gaps of your relationship with what evidence that you have)?

US Embassy and Consulate Discussiondress code?
Most of the people at the consulate were wearing jeans, though one woman showed up in a skirt and a nice top.

Bee and I wore nice button-down shirts with tidy jeans and loafers - in the end, since we were standing at a window talking to the consulate officer, he only saw the top half of us and it probably looked like we were dressed up. laughing.gif

So seconded! blink.gif

I would wear smart casual, personally. Before the interview, Bee was fretting about not having nice pants for the interview, so we ended up going in jeans and nice shirts. In the end, they only could see the top half of us through the booth, so we stressed out for nothing. laughing.gif

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionbank account records
Where did you get that information from, curiously? The USCIS instructions for the I-134 in reference to the bank letter request this:

QUOTE
Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions where you have deposits, identifying the following details regarding your account:

1. Date account opened;
2. Total amount deposited for the past year;
3. Present balance.

Nowhere does USCIS request an account number.

The only place where USCIS does request an identifying number in reference to sponsor income is here:

QUOTE
D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

I know it depends on the actually Embassy and Country, but has it been heard of to go into the interview with your fiance` or you will just be in the lobby waiting?

Our interview is coming up soon and I wanted to know if I should go down for that.

For my interview in Vancouver, my fiance got to attend the interview with me - and actually was asked a question or two by the consul officer.

I don't believe the attendance of the USC has any bearing on the interview itself, but certainly it'll help your fiance's nerves if you're able to go. laughing.gif

I know Bee had to go to his HR department and request the letter, but it took them a little under a week to get it written up for him.

I'd say two weeks is reasonable.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWhat to send/bring to the consulate/interview?
Phil, I'd follow what's said in the checklist and not to send any of the documents to the consulate. Just keep the docs ready for the interview so that the consulate officer can review them at the interview.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMedical form question
Hrm, that's what I thought you were referring to. I was a little confused since I've never heard of those particular forms being released to a K1 applicant before - they're usually meant to be completed by the panel physician for your medical examination.

http://www.cdc.gov/n...sforms/2053.htm

Unfortunately there aren't any updated forms available online, so I'd just stick with the forms that you have.

Actually, USCIS won't have those forms - the DS-156 and DS-156K forms are part of the Department of State. This is where you can find the most current forms online: http://travel.state....forms_1342.html

Non-USC K1 applicants have to undergo a consulate interview at their home country, and pay $100 to get their visa processed upon approval.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Affidavit Support Question
If you're filing the I-134 for your fiance and intend to sponsor her, then you would count yourself and your fiance as the household. In order to qualify as a sponsor, you will need to make the minimum income that's required for your household. If you intend to use proof of assets, the requirement is that you need assets which are worth the minimum income multiplied by 5 ($17113 x 5 = $85565).

If you do not meet the minimum requirement with a combination of your assets and annual net income, then you will need another person who does meet the minimum requirements to sponsor your fiance.
