IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Everyone going through Administrative Processing in ISLAMABAD	Armani Khan, it's been exactly four months for us today and we're stuck in AP as well, I'm soooo worried and depressed because we haven't heard anything. I call the Department of State every week to hear the same thing... "case is still open and pending review" nothing more and nothing less. Hopefully we'll have a visa in hand soon and can actually be a "real" married couple. Good luck with your process and let's stay in touch. We received an email today from Embassy saying Zaheer's visa was sent thru courier yesterday. Today, he collected it frm SpeedEx office!!! He will, Insha'Allah be home by mother's day! Unfortunately, Stevie has a cold and is miserable.. but she should be well again by his arrival. Ur right though, I understand exactly how you feel. Its hard especially in this economy. I am sorry your mother is working so hard as well. My mother is also from Michigan, but moved to FL in the 70s. My dad is from Alabama and has only ever worked for Machine shops and he used to build the tools to work on Nasa's spacecraft, but they closed down his department here in FL and he had to take early retirement. Then started working at a company that makes Brain Surgery tools.. but got laid off because he kept editing the program to make it more efficient, but the engineers didnt appreciate that. We used to be a fairly upper middle class family like 12 yrs ago. Then all this happened, and now we are all struggling to get by. We live in a very wealthy town, surrounded by celebs and glamour.. but there is no way to afford cost of living. Anyhow.. I pray that things work out for you and haseeb and little Faris Ali. Zaheer and I are going to start importing Leather Goods and garments starting next month. I hope it works out on top of his job at the car dealership. take care... and be strong. Zaheer called the embassy yesterday and spoke to a gentleman who told him that the case was still the same. Then he asked him "What does that mean? The Same? Is it in AP? they told me it was in review after receiving the documents, so what is going on? Is it AP or Review?" and the guy said "Whatever they told you the other day, its still the same." So, he was getting a little bit annoyed. So he was like "Ok.. what does that mean?" And he was like "They are doing something on it, but it is still the same, that is all I know." and then the guy hung up. So, he called me and told me to call the Dept of State and ask them about it maybe I would get a less confusing answer.... so I called DOS and spoke to Anna again. Lately, she hasn't sounded like she really is very happy to help. So I gave her Zaheer's info and she said "They are still working on it." and I was like "Yeah, but after they received the papers they told us the case was in 'review' so I just wanted to know if they updated it or not?" and she said "yeah they have your papers and they are still working on it." and I was like "Ok, but when was the last update?" and she said "I dont know." and that was kind of annoying. So I was just like "Ok, thanks, bye." so, unfortunately... no one wants to give us any info. At least they have stopped telling us it is in AP. But, both DOS and Embassy have told us "its still the same" and "They are still working on it". So, wish us good luck, please. Please pray. I need my Zaheer here with me especially since the baby will be here tomorrow at approx 12:30pm. So, I won't be able to check on you all's info for the next few days. But I wish all good news for you all! I hope that when i come back we hear some good news from some of you, i.e. Wellmux. Well, please pray for a good surgery for me and a healthy baby girl. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 December filers	You might want to do what I did and call them. I don't put a lot of stock into the case query, but at least it's something. And you can take solace that you're not alone -- given my case status, as well as some others on the list in this thread that seem to be unresolved, it's likely that some files either get extra attention, or perhaps are allocated to different agents who aren't as efficient or something. It's hard to say exactly how these things are determined. I highly recommend calling them , I call em and they put a query on my case and right after a week I got my approval letter . I keep thinking I should call, but part of me knows that they won't have any answers. I'm starting to get a bit concerned though, I can't deny. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	About biometrics and interview	I need to plan my travel back to the States. Can someone please tell me IF we do get called for interview, approximately when do we know? and average estimated time after the biometrics for interview date? For now all we have is NOA1 dating August 16th. It is very difficult to determine a date or time frame for any case as each case is individual. I have been holding off my travel plans since we dont know when/if we'd be called for an interview etc. Sorry I know this post wont be helpful but just wanted to let you know, we are all in the same boat and know very little or nothing about the processing time for I-751. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Cover Letter for the I-751	Hi everyone We are getting ready to file the I-751 petition and have one quick question: Who is the petitioner? Like for I-130 it is the U.S. Citizen spouse who files the petition. It our case it will be a jointly filed petition as we'll be removing conditions on my CR-1 visa. So for the cover letter, who should address it? My husband who is the U.S. Citizen or myself Or both of us and we sign the cover letter together too? Your help will be much appreciated. Regards, S. Perhaps its one of those RFE letter so many of us from California Service Center received. From the list of stuff you've posted, that's a lot of proof. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2010 Filers	I'd like to let everyone know (especially those who received the strange RFE letter(s) from USCIS) that today I received the approval notice through email. I had only called USCIS once back in December regarding those letters and they asked me to disregard them. It is a relief to know they did not ask for anything else. I wish you all a swift process and all those who are worried over these RFE letters, if it makes you happy... call them because I'm in no position to advice you over your case but those who have called and have received similar answers like myself can now wait and see.
