God bless On the USCIS website it also states that this is as of 30 Nov 2008, so I take this to mean that as of Nov 08 they were processing April 08 applications - so 7 months. Correct me if I'm wrong! You will likely find the NOA 2 will take 5-6 months and then there is the additional time on top for forwarding to NVC and then onto the embassy. Sadly it is a wait situation. We all understand how hard it is to be apart from our loved ones. And can appreciate you miss your fiance. But there isnt a lot that can be done unless you fall under an expedite situation. Lets just do some hoping that VSC hurry up and approve those people who submitted their petitions before us November filers...... First of all welcome to the November thread..If you fill in your time line you will be able to look up your approximate adjudication date. You can find this by clicking on "My timeline" and scroll down to the bottom and it should say there. My wife does not have a job so she can not supply suffiecient documentation for me. What options do we have? Her family members have rejected to sponsor me due to feeling as if the government will have them under privacy lock and key and all of their privacy would be exposed. They feelt his way because I am from an Islamic country and they feel the government wll double exammine all behavior of them for the next few years due to signing the affadavit of support for me. She has asked all of our mutual and non-mutual friends and nobody has been caring enough to support us. So, what are our options? I do not want to get approved in the next few weeks and not have a sponsor when the time comes. Very worried here because I know the approval is not far from now. So the story is we entered Chicago POE on Sept 20th. It was a really smooth breeze. Barely even two mins. They just took the documents given by the embassy and we were through and out. Thank you soooooooooo much for all your wishes and prayers as well. I am so happy its unbelievable. We made reservations through Gulf Air for the 19th of Sept. So hopefully once the passport is in hand we will get the tickets issued. POE will be chicago, IL our trip is kinda cool, we fly out here on the 19th and land in Bahrain at around 845 AM. The next connecting flight is like 12 hours later at 130 in the morning...(night). Gulf Air has arranged a hotel stay for that day and since My sister lives in Bahrain we will get to hang out with her as well. Then fly out to UK and then to home sweet home! MZJ - although AP is shorter and quicker for a K3 and like waitingforapproval said that greencard is given earlier on CR1, I have heard of a few cases where the applicant is put on another AP after entering the US and at the time of adjusting status from a K3. so in the end its about the same. Waitingforapproval - so ummm, yeah I called yesterday and spoke to Sarah! Now I know what you are talking about! Gosh, she is an angel and the sweetest person in immigration yet! She said we are in final review as well and we should be hearing from the embassy soon for a call for the passport!! GRIN! I still couldn't believe my ears so of course I called again a little while later and the guy was like AP pending with an attitude. So i said well, I was told his case is in final review is this right, and he was like yes. I said what's next he goes nothing...just wait! So i was like yeah ok...same to you "*£&%*"!
