Just to make it clear, so there is no need to fax receipt to the USEm?? if so..great!!....yeah i hope they can fine tune this process...good luck everyone

I didnt fax my receipt to USEM. After I received confirmation text message from Delbros, I called USEM, talked to Grace. I asked her if I need to fax my DV receipt. She said no need, I would know if there'd be a problem with DV, on my interview. As it is, I was given a white slip for DV. So I guess no matter what you do to assure that DV results will be at USEM by the time of your interview, it doesn't work. The system is full of flaws. But for now, we can't do anything...but wait.

You may also follow up at NSO 02-9267333 look for Richard.

The phone number 011 632 3012000 loc 5184 or 5185, is especially intended for USC's. You, the petitioner, should be the one to call. They are more cordial to UCS's. Sad but true. wacko.gif

I guess this is how the system goes:

1. We pay DV through Metrobank.
2. We inform Delbros through text that we have already paid for DV, after many hours of waiting, they will reply that they received the payment.
3. Delbros will inform USEM that we had paid the DV.
4. USEM will send a request to NSO that so and so's documents need to be verified. The requests are sent to NSO every monday.
5. USEM picks up the results of the documents verifed every friday and were sent to USEM.

The problem may occur when:
1. The applicants didnt pay DV in advance.
2. When the applicants didnt inform Delbros that they had paid DV.
3. When Delbros didnt inform USEM that the applicant paid DV already.
4. When there is a delay in sending requests to NSO and delay in picking up the results of DV

Numbers to call:
Delbros: 023392761 loc 104

USEM: 02-3012000 loc 5184 or 5185 look for Grace or Lorraine

I hope USEM can fine tune this document verification process soon! God bless you! good.gif

QUOTE (daisychain @ Jul 5 2008, 05:34 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I got started on my vaccines a week ago. I had MMR and HPV. Total cost for both vaccines? P8,200 minus the P400 the doctor charged for administration and consultation. OMg.. the HPV vaccine is sooo expensive! P6,500 just for the medicine (taken in three series). I already had my Td/tdap vaccine and chickenpox vaccine and booster 2 years ago so I don't think it'd be required to take it. What kind of certification should my doctor provide for the MMR and HPB vaccine?

you can ask the doctor who administered the Tdap, chicken pox, MMR and HPV vaccines to make a note/certfication that he gave you the vaccines. it can be an accomplished immunization record or any letter in a prescription pad. doctor's signature is the important thing there, plus the date. smile.gif

Yup..the SLEC will only give you one dose of HPV together with the other vaccines like tetanus, MMR and chicken pox vaccines. The rest will be given in the US.

Hi there! I'm on K1..but when I had my medical appointment, I met someone on IR1. She got her vaccines at SLEC.
If you are less than 26 years old, you will be receive HPV vaccines. That's given 3 doses at 0, 2 and 6 months schedule, so you'll get 1 dose at SLEC. I heard HPV vaccine in the US costs $200. So it's still cheaper here.

hi chris-lei. i called the # u gave me and talked to grace.i told her that my husband was asked to pay for doc verification again even if that person was told that he already paid for it.at first, she was surprised it,but then told me that they might need to verify 2 docs...i dont know.im not satisfied with her answer.she told me also that his case is placed under ar,and that will take 2wks or more, plus it needs to be reviewd again.i told her...that's why we paid that fee prior to interview,to avoid delays.THEN SHE ASKED ME AGAIN ABOUT PAYING DELBROS TWICE.

I'm surprised about your husband paying 2 DV fees. Anyway, you may call again on monday. My fiance was told to call back after 2 weeks but as anxious he is as I was, he called after 5 days. He was told (on his second follow up) that my visa was released to Delbros.

While waiting, just pray okay? Everything will be alright.

When did your husband pay DV?

the co didn't tell him anything about the doc verification either.how long did u wait for ur visa?

As of monday, July 14, my visa is released to Delbros for delivery. Last night I got a text from Delbros, the visa will be delivered within 2 days. But it's raining here so I guess that will be delayed.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureshelp! hubby given pink slip and white paper after the interview
Pink slip is for the visa delivery, to many applicants that signifies approval. The CO will tell your husband if he is denied or not. Did the CO say something about document verification to your husband? During my interview, I was given pink and white slips also. The CO wrote down "document verification".

This is the first time I've heard of paying for 2 document verification fee for a single applicant.

You may call 011 63 2 3012000 loc 5184 or 5185 and inquire about the status of your husband's visa.

Goodluck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan we get married after getting a k-1 visa????
hi..i a Filipina and i think my family is as conservative as yours...but i think you cant get married in your country after getting a visa. i've also read in VJ about a couple who had a non-legal religious ceremony before entering US..the consul denied their visa. i've also read in a paper issued by the USCIS that you should enter US as single, unmarried.
you can always talk with your family and will them to understand your situation..you can always go back to get married in your country.
goodluck and may these threads help you.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat do we have to do?
First and foremost...track your husband and divorce him. Then when the divorce is final and you are still in love with your boyfriend, start working on his visa to get him to the States. Time and distance will determine if what you and your boyfriend feels for each other is true and lasting. Goodluck and I hope everything will turn out fine.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOverwhelmed with the task, considering hiring a lawyer?
Hi there!

My fiance and I considered hiring a lawyer, but his friend who petitioned a fiancee advised otherwise. K1 visa has lesser paperworks than other visa. If you have issues like previous divorce, annulment, police records then I suggest you hire a lawyer.
Here in VJ, you can familiarize yourself with what seems to be a ton of work before filing for petition. As you go along, you'll see that everything is easy. Then should you have a question, or even questions, you may post here and the community is more than willing to share their experiences. You'll be suprised that your questions are answered quickly.
Hope this help. Goodluck and may God bless you! dancin5hr.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresApply for K1 or K3?
QUOTE (achubhai @ Jun 24 2008, 04:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello All,

A friend of mine has this question:

He met his fiance in January 2008. They then had their nikkah in February 2008 (via the internet, i.e. no physical meeting, nikkah done through web-cam). The nikkah was done but was not filed at the local court.

In April 2008, he went overseas to visit her.

His question is, since the nikkah is not filed at the civil court, should he apply for her visa as K1 (fiance) or K3 (spouse)? The next time they plan on meeting, it will be for their wedding ceremony.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

for your friend, i suggest they go through the real nikkah proper and file for K3. that is to satisfy the lady's family and not to risk denial. i've seen posts stating that they undergo religious weding rites, not filing it to the registry but still the CO got hold of the info and denied the visa.
it is clearly stated that the benificiary is single when she/he reaches US soiland that she/he'll marry the petitoiner in the US. another petition that got denied was when the benificiary applied for a marriage license, although the license was not used, still the CO denied the visa.

i hope this will enlighten your friend.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMalaysian Religious Wedding then Fiance Visa to US for Legal Wedding?
If I were in your situation that you have to satisfy her family, I'd take option 3. Option 2 is risky. There have been posts/threads here that visas were denied beacuse the couple had non-legal religious ceremony. It s clearly stated that the benificiary should be single when she reaches the US soil should she go for the K1 route. She might be denied at POE if she's already married and under K1.
