K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Malaysian Religious Wedding then Fiance Visa to US for Legal Wedding?	If I were in your situation that you have to satisfy her family, I'd take option 3. Option 2 is risky. There have been posts/threads here that visas were denied beacuse the couple had non-legal religious ceremony. It s clearly stated that the benificiary should be single when she reaches the US soil should she go for the K1 route. If you are really sure that you dont want to continue with your US fiance then break it up with him. He may cancel your petition. The CO didnt give me a hard time on the interview. The lady beside me just gave the presceener lose pictures without any caption at the back, she didnt have any difficulties with that. In the Philippines, the consulate does their own background checks on the beneficaries (the person being petitioned). If they find out that beneficiary is married, that is an automatic denial. I know annulment takes a long while and is expensive. But that's the reality of it. Why don't you just enjoy being engaged while waiting for the course of the annulment? Before you know it, their marriage is already annuled! Annulment of her marriage is the best you can do. Adjusting status from a tourist visa will take a very long time and will end up in an unpredictable outcome (she might not be approved on the count of visa fraud). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Are vows in church always concidered legal wedding?	It is not worth risking your K1 process by having a religious ceremony without registering it to the NSO. And I dont think that it is possible in the Philippines. Any wedding ceremony even the Christian ones require a marrriage license. The officiating Pastor or Mayor will still have to register that to the NSO. US embassy might get hold of that, which eventually might compromise your K1 visa. If you really want to satisfy her parents, marry her in the Philippines then wait a while longer before she can go here. Say, you'll have to wait for another 3-6 months longer. With K1, marry her in a civil ceremony here and come back to the Philippines for a bigger church wedding. That's the way most of us does or will do. For now, do what you have to do, like getting on with the petition. Then when you and your fiancee get married , just show to your family and friends that you found the best girl for you. Philippines	What do we need to go for med exam	I'm simply confused... do we have to have an actual letter from NVC with the MNL# on it, or do we just have to have the MNL# ..... Also, how many 2x2 pics do I need.. I have seen different info about this.. I am planning on 4 cuz that's what St. Lukes web site says. They will ask for you appointment letter stating your interview date from the NVC. Bring 2pcs standard visa size photos make sure to write your name at the back of each photos (just bring extra)... Philippines	Fed Ex for shipping Gift box	Hello, I am contemplating using Fed Ex for shipping a gift box to my Fiancé in the Philippines. I know that many people use Fed Ex for shipping Documents and petition paperwork and it seems that most have good experiences regarding that. I am looking for experiences from others that have attempted to ship gift items. I will be shipping 2 pair of women’s jeans, and two women’s t-shirts, pair of children’s shorts/pants, two children’s shirts, 2 pair of children’s shoes. 2 leapster games (not the leapster device, just the games) digital picture key chain, 3 bottles of children’s vitamins. I am considering sending a purse, sunglasses and umbrella that I bought for my sweetheart, designer in nature. The total value that I paid for all the items is about $500. The shipping estimate is around $250. I am just wondering if the items will arrive safely. They are special items that I put a lot of effort into finding for them and I would be really upset if they did not arrive or if items were stolen. So from your experinces did your gift packages arrive to the Philippines unopened, with all items in tact? Any items missing? Any issues regarding paying extra for duty tax? My original plan was to take them with me when I travel back to the Philippines but that may not be until September or November. So it would be nice if they could get these items earlier.
