NVC has to receive an ORIGINAL DS-230 from the beneficiary, not a scanned version. You should get your husband to sign/date the DS-230 asap and send it to you asap so you aren't waiting long. And no, the form is NOT expired. The expiration date you see on the top right doesn't refer to the form being expired, it's for the OMB. I filled out the DS-230 Form scanned it to my husband in Trinidad for him to review, sign n send to me ahead of time becuz mail takes so long to get to the USA from there (im still waiting on my valentines day card, i considered it lost ) My problem now is that the form is Expired. I gotta do it all over, right? hold up!!!!! wait a minute!!!!! I just notice that the new form expires on 03/31/12 aye caramba. so this mean i have to wait for the form with and april experation date to come out. i guess i was a little over prepared. SO nice too see NVC handing out interview dates like peice of cake. It makes life So less stressful. WHen i got my interview date assigned I had 1mth &2week till that day, now i only have 3 more weeks to wait. I know many of you think your date is so far away but having that time helps you go in properly prepared and makes you a "little" more calmer. Since my time off VJ.com: Im nesting lolll- yep making the house pefect for my hubby. Changing the branch (not company) i work at so i can be closer to home. Next week he should be receiving my 20 pound box of evidence and the AOS Packet. 5 more days till the medical. Counting down the 20 days we have left till the interview. VJ.com and all its current members, passed members, Trindad members and of course Saylin has not only made this journey simple but Understandable. NVC or USCIS tells you to do something and then you come to VJ.com and u understand y they need you to do something. I love this site and i recommend it to everyone. ADVICE to alot of ppl madly in love with a simply stright fwd case- NO LAWYER NEEDED save that money to buy a nice expensive bottle of bubbly to celebrate after POE. That's teh one I printed and sent in the package. I guess I should update my timeline, eh? lollll yepperz, 1st comandment of Visa Journey's- Update Your Timeline lolllll. I think at the begining of every Thrend a guy shoud be there, not for you who honestly forgot but for those who dont even care. Timelines really do help ppl out. CASE COMPLETE!!! Exactly one week after DS-230 package was delivered. The operator asked me to call back around July 20. I asked why so long? She said July interviews have been scheduled already. August interviews will be scheduled in mid-July. And before I could ask a couple more questions ... "Thank you for calling the National Visa Center, Goodbye [Click]". Rude! Just wen i thought the days couldnt get any longer. I hope every one is making good progress with there cases and hope that all interview that passed we all passed and approved. I think about how much it will suck to come this far to fall but trust in God and we'd all be fine. I showed my hubby some of the visa fraud post and he was like "WOW" he said if he had to runaway from me he wont know where to go and that i'll still find him cus we have tracking devices on our phones and car and im licen to carry lolllll. he's too funny. Those storied arent funny but the most hurtful part is that you cant force the person u love so much to love you back if they don't cus maybe they never did. some ppl are so heart less. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2012	I mailed my IV package to the NVC on Saturday June 16. I was told it would take 4-6 business days for it to reach the NVC. Now I'm a little nervous I have done something wrong. I used a different cover page in the package I mailed. I got that cover page from an e-mail titled U.S. DoS - IV Application Cover Page for Case STK2012blablabla. Is that OK? Will I have to send in new documents? Or simply just a new cover page? I get so confused by all these e-mails. Life was so much easier when we were just waiting for the CSC to approve our application and forward it to the NVC. Today's also my last day of work and I'm totally stressing/flipping out over these things. UGH! Did you already pay the IV bill? Yesterday Mr. Sheeshka put in his notice at work and made it for July 20th.. which would be fine, but not what we discussed this entire time (July 1st is what was originally told to me). He wants to stop in Winnipeg for two weeks to visit his family, which isn't an issue, my issue is he keeps changing the date when we are going to leave Canada.Then he says "We should stay in Winnipeg for my Birthday." That's on August 8th. I said, "absolutely not!" Now he's mad at me. I'm getting a little perturbed to say the least. I wanted to be home mid July. Now we might not get home until the middle of August. My kids start school August 6th, It doesn't look like I'll get home in time to see the kids off to their first week of school. LOLLLL youre like lets just GOOOOOOOOOO already.. Our interview is July 18th so we discussed dated of POE and my hubby said arround his bday (aug 18th) my jaw droped thank god he counld see my expression over the phone. I wish he didnt want to wait an entire extra month but arround that time seems senemtal to him so imma just step back. SO when we get approved and have visa in hand im booking that ticket right away so he cant change his mind again. But with all do respects for his feelings i know how he felt, cus i had to once leave it all behind too and it is heart braking. Thank you Lord CONGRATZZZZZZZ The waiting for my interview date to be scheduled is making me a little bit nuts... I'm still hoping for a July date, but am beginning to think that August is more likely and it's annoying. I am so OVER this process, talking to rude agents and their attempts to make me feel like I'm bugging them by calling to inquire about my case. Just do your JOB, at least try to be somewhat polite as you do it and remember that I am ALLOWED to call and ask about my case. Insert major stream of curse words here. Thank you for letting me vent. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2012	Hey guys, My visa was approved today, after a 3 hour wait.I was basically last to be interviewed. oh boi oh boi congratz So I have a question/concern on this note... I took my tax stuff to a CPA for my 2011 taxes (my first time, usually I use those HR Block folks), and he filed me as Head of Household, as I provide all support for my daughter from a previous marriage. He said I can't file as married as spouse is not in country, made no US income and has no legal recourse to the US. So my taxes are just me....will this be an issue? I asked the CPA several times, and he even called some IRS CPA hotline and they reconfirmed the Head of Household as correct status for my filing. I don't mean to be a worry-wart, it comes naturally! When i got married i filed out a new from of what to claim on my taxes and on there it has a legal quote that if you are married but ur spose doesnt have a ss (or something of that sorth) please select single. I when to HRBlock also and they file me head of household and but i think they put married filing seperatly and then they did single cus the pc wont let her do it and she also called the IRS and they wanted her to list me single. it is confusing NVC has accepted my 2011 taxes in my AOS packet as it is. Hmm. I am not sure which link you are referring too. I am just a bit confused because the medical PDF for Barbados has hepatitis listed as a needed shot. I will look through this thread again for the link you are speaking about. Thank you for your help oh this Vacination thingy makes my head spin so i think im just gonna wait till my hubby goes to the medical and find out, he hasn't had shoot since elementry school, so they gotta shoot him up with all he needs. Send your husband an updated I-864 to reflect your new current income, as well as a recent pay stub reflecting this, as well as the mentioned job letter. And for your passport, naturalization certificate, and birth certificate, I wouldn't suggest sending the originals. Make a photocopy of everything and send those. They shouldn't be asked for. Unless it's different in Trinidad... thanx i Did a new I-864 and everything concerning the AOS already. I guess I wont send the orignals But id send my expired original passport. Since im not going to the interview any more (awwwww (sound effects) lol) I am preparing a package to send to my husband. Contents: Everything that was in the AOS packet + and updated job letter (i got a raise (round of applause sound effects). A copy of the DS230 Immigrant visa application (just incase) The copy of the I-130 evedience (Skype log, facebook pages, my old passport pages, a few email. ) Money gram receipts Post cards. Pictures from wedding and random pictures of us. My bank statment where he is in trust for (my bank wont put him on with out a SS#) wedding invitation. Sending him my us passport, natrulization certificate, birth certificate. ************************* Will try to get Phone or text log from my cell phone company. And do a print screen of email back and froth from our work email. ohhhhh i worte his mom a very emotional letter when we got engaged (cus it all happend so fast that i felt like i had to reasure her that my intetions are good) id ask her to lend it to him to take it. And, what is that DHL site that tracks the package once it leaves NVC... i know i have read about it but i just cannot remember.... thank you i think all we get is the email and we print that out as our way into the embassy. It says P4 on it im assuming that means Packet 4. For the tracking thing i tried to look it up. I think you gotta find out the date you package was sent and go to DHL.com and in the reference info put in EXP__JUNE2012A (where the space is put in the day before). Hurts nothing to try I went to the doctors, but I did take 3 shot of buble flavour Vodka (yummm altho im not a drinker) that was my celebration. I asked my hubby and he said that he's a big boy and he can do the interview on his own, he doesnt want to change the date cus he wants no mistakes. it's hard cus ive been here step by step thur all this n now i have to hand it over to him. But i have to put faith in him i know he can handle it. i have all the documnets so now im going to lable everything and mail it down. Called DOS already nuthing for me right now, she actually sound upset that i was calling them and said i shouldn't call them until NVC is done with me. Did you get an email? So...since case complete I have not called NVC or DOS for an interview date and was not planning to either until the end of the week...but decided, what the heck? I called DOS first and to my surprise, she said "your husband is scheduled for an interview on July 23rd @ 8:30 am". I asked her if she knew when it was assigned, but she said she didn't know. I was just curious because I been checking my email like a million times a day since case complete and nothing... Still, relieved to finally have a date and looking forward to the end of this visa process (although we'll still have to do ROC, but @ least we'll have a break, LOL.) COngratz..... Philippines	NO PACKET 4 YET	My fiance had her early medical and before she wet i paid 18 dollars to call the embassy and ask them to send over packet 4 to st lukes so she could pick it up. But the man at the embassy told me that she had to request it. So she went requested it and they never sent it over to her. So now what ? She downloaded the forms from the state deparment the DS156 DS156K DS157. But the problem is that she didnt get the packet 4 yet and i heard that she cant get in for her interview without the appointment letter from the embassy. The only appointment letter that we have is the one that the embassy sent me. So can she just go without an appointment letter or can i send her the one they sent me that way she can use it. The only problem i see with that is that it has my home address on it. NEED HELP interview in 2 weeks.
