K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2008 fillers	Can anyone help me with the preparation of our new affidavit of support please? I am slightly confused. When we filed for the K1 visa my SO was employed and he earnt over the poverty amount so the filing of the affidavit was easy. He has now been made redundant (laid off) and so his income is obviously much less. He does own his own house though, so as this is an asset can he still file the affidavit or do we need to find a co-sponsor? I am panicking, we have got so far down the re-location road, my son has started school, I have got my SSN I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GO BACK!!! You have come so far you dont have much further to go.... I am now in the USA and was wondering if anyone knows if my son can go to school on the K1 visa? or where I can find out about it please. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Stuck in AP in NVC	It looks like we are stuck NOA2 Feb 12. NVC arrived Feb 19. Additional processing... No time frame. I have been married before. Maybe that is a red flag? She is also 20 year younger. You'll be fine soon, there was another NVC AP here just a short time ago, he got out of it in about 2 weeks. Anyway, my fiancee finally got her visa/passport in the mail today in Pakistan. Lucky for us, cause I had already booked her flight to the States before actually getting the visa physically. (I like to take those types of risks, it's exciting and all about positive thoughts) Her suitcases are nearly packed and in about 2 weeks, she'll be landing in the USA. I'm still pondering upon the question she was asked by the embassy if she'd planned to marry someone other then me once in the US...... Thank everyone, and I have to say, the guides, help and friends here truly do help getting through this journey. I don't have details on the interview yet, but it seemed pretty easy for her. She wanted to speak to someone in her native language of Urdu, the officer asked why? She said, because I don't want to make a mistake. The officer said, I wont let you make a mistake. How nice. I'm missing details, but he soon said, I am giving you the visa. At this she was so surprised that she asked him two times "are you giving me the visa?" Matter of fact, once I got my case number, I was getting superbly fast response time from my consulate via email, like within 12 hours and that was because of our 10 hour time difference. I can't seem to get passed the automated system and what a mind bending earful that is! Hope you're all good today. I emailed NVC and they responded with good news here, making sure my EAC number is in the subject line etc. Here's what I gather was my timeframe: NOA2 12/29/09 Emailed NVC 1/5/2010 Response from NVC 1/9/2010 The NVC’s e-mail address is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. Operator Assistance Telephone operators are available to respond to more in-depth inquiries. Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (EST) Tel: (603 334-0700). If I had to venture a guess I think that they have missed quite a few work days lately due to bad winter weather in the greater DC area. I would think that would get them behind in their workload. Just for your information, it is my understanding that NVC is actually located well north of Washington D.C. but there's probably more snow there anyway. Thanks The NVC’s e-mail address is NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. In order to ensure a prompt response: The Subject Line of the e-mail should be the relevant NVC Case Number. Provide the applicant’s name and date of birth and the petitioner’s name and date of birth. If you are an attorney, include the name of the law office requesting the information. You will need to reach a live person to get information on your case since the NVC’s automated system does not handle K1 visas. Give this person your I-797 NOA1 receipt #, they will let you know if your package has been received. Good luck.
