I just wanted to say, ppl, just hang in there and your turn will come.. my hands are a little shaky as I'm typing this and I think it's still sinking in!! I had sent my petition in @ the very end of July, so I was surprise to get this notice so soon as my adj date was suppose to be Dec. 15-26.. And I never got another touch besides the one that happened like 4-5 days after my NOA1 date.. Oh, and I'm #84 on IGOR's List.. but not nemore Couldn't have asked for a better surprise the day before Thanksgiving.. and I'm really THANKFULL for the quick approval, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AND HANG TIGHT!!! We have all done the hard bit, our time is now coming, so keep fighting!! always focusing on our new lifes ahead. I have just received an RFE and have no idea what they are wanting, it doesnt say in the email and I really dont want to wait till the mail arrives with my SO so we can get it sent out. Still.....I will browse through these numerous pages and see if anyone has any ideas how I can find out sooner. Its so frustrating. Just like all of us are. Thanks Each consulate has different requirements. Check out the Embassy reviews section at the top and find your country's embassy link. Often they list what documents you'll need before your interview on their individual website (and you can find the link there along with other helpful info). I hope that helps! Vermont seems to be the place to be. Im only a month and a week in so i feel your pain for those who are waiting close to the 5 mths and it seems like as you have gotten so close they started to slow down. Seems like one more service center would make cut the time down. but easier said than done. on a diffrent note: I saw an add for the new movie called "Like Crazy" it basically about two people in love in two diffrent part of the world and a visa comes between them. so sad but i want to see it. Middle East and North Africa	APs in Casa	ladies if your finace is from morocco call before you think they have their interview dont email call. the email is lame and tells you nothing dial the number (+2122264550) it's on the embassy info you find morocco if you use a prepaid phone card its like a dollar a min(rediculous) but anyhting for my man. so call them before they have their interview if they have one within the next 2 weeks . I believe she meant verse 221 not 121.....but of course this issue is interpreted by many in different ways.....to make things easy on us.......my opinion. .... it says in the Quran that he cannot marry a woman unless she is a muslim in The Cow part 121. Actually, the Qur'an says nothing of the sort -- neither in Surah Baqarah 121 nor anywhere else. Surah Baqarah 221 refers to "idolators" (alternate spelling: "idolaters") -- meaning pagans, polytheists, etc. It does not prohibit marriage to a "non-Muslim." And elsewhere, Qur'an makes it quite clear that Muslims are permitted to marry "chaste women" from "People of the Book" (Christians and Jews): This day (all) the good things are allowed to you; and the food of those who have been given the Book is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them; and the chaste from among the believing women and the chaste from among those who have been given the Book before you (are lawful for you); when you have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers. (Surah al-Maeda 5.) Perhaps its better that folks stop sharing so much of their personal information i.e. relationship practices etc to prevent this sort of thing happening. Everyone (yes everyone) is entitled to comment on any public information posted. So if you don't like what is being said SKIP over it or if it doesn't apply to you why is everyone's panties in a bunch??? Less is sometimes more. The fact is Patiently and Jen were supposed to be on cloud 9 today and they're left in limbo. The only upside for me and mine is that we'll have more recent pictures to give them of my second visit. Leaving May 10. Was the one that detonated himself running from capture, or was it on purpose right there? Do you think it is good that he didn't plan it well enough to kill anyone else. I read somewhere that it is a good sign that they apparently weren't trained well enough to do more damage, lack funding perhaps. Is it possible that could be the case? Come ooooonnnnn terrorists! In that case you may want to stop the denial. You don't have to explain yourself to me or justify your actions. Your life is your own. BTW...are you American? That is the point I was making. I have known many women who converted simply to please a man. They had no clue of the religion before hand. No, not every woman is like that. Also, some of these women who do convert to please their man end up loving the religion. I've met those women, too. I would hope that Muslim men marrying outside of their faith are doing it for other reasons besides converting the woman. and I know there are woman out there.. who do NOT research Islam.. have NO clue about the religion and Blindly convert... BUT not every woman is like that.. did you ask me by any chance that maybe i am happy with my religion. and by the way i have been learning about islam since i was 15 years old or since 9/11 finding out what i could. i took courses in my highschool for religions and i did love islam. i think its a very highly respectful religion and i found it in my heart to truly love it. not because Zakaria is in my life but i loved it before him i am 21 years old now and trying to prove to women and men here why my religion is respectful i shouldnt have to show you ladies why. it is what it is if you dont believe dont fine if you hate that i say ALLAH instead of god its your right to tell me but dont insult me bc i choose to say ALLAH instead of god, when i talk to my friend i say God or ALLAH bc to me that is his name. In every language around the world you refer to God to ALLAH for islam but when you say christianity God you think Jesus Christ. You know this is my choice to be like this and a true muslim man wouldnt push you into becoming a true muslim, ask them and if you cross a true muslim man it says in the Quran that he cannot marry a woman unless she is a muslim in The Cow part 121. i didnt know this until AFTER i converted and i had no problem with being a muslim. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	waiting for interview date	Hey hun first of all, congrats on your case complete. Your one step closer :)and as for the interview date, it varies. I received my date 13 days after my case complete but i know some people who have waited almost a month. They are VERY busy over the summer but just remember that you WILL get a date eventually. After 211 days, RFE and I admit some despair, I am now so excited, I can hardly type this. I wish to thank everyone for all their answers to my nagging questions and alleviating my doubts. For all you others, it has been almost 7 months to the day since I submitted my forms, so be patient, it is hard, but they do finally get to the petitions! Yes, they do have to go along as well. They have their photos taken and the finger print of their index fingers for each hand, for the AP and for the Green Card (each has a fingerprint printed on it ). Dont worry, they will be fine. They called my son in first and I just asked if I could go in with him as I was his mother and I was there for an appointment as well, which they allowed me to do. We have the lease and the electric bill; that's basically it. Cable, cell and bank seem to want SSN. We have health insurance but for some reason my job doesn't put the spouses name on the card, so she just uses one for medical or dental with only my name. She does have a card for the health savings account. If we get an interview, it will be interesting to see what they expect us to have. In addition to joint bank account, I had a cell phone bill which my husband had me put onto his plan, although my name isnt on the bill, the cell phone number is so we used that. He also gave me a second credit card from his credit card company on the same account, and although again, my name isnt on the account, I took a copy of the most recent bill and made a copy with my credit card on it so they can see my name on the card, and the same card number as his. My health insurance is different to my husbands too but I used that as it has our address on it as well. Hope these may give you some ideas. Good luck for your interview.
