I just got another update saying that USPS picked up his card today, wahoo! Hopefully we'll have it by Friday! And yes, I received that USPS msg too, that they had picked up my card on June 19th and it will be delivered within 7 days. I didn't get a tracking number though. They sure are efficient with the texts/e-mails when they do send them out I will feel much better signing a lease for a place in NY once the GC is in our hands Congrats starcookie!! BTW - did everyone who has already received their GC get the e-mail that USPS has picked up your GC and then you get a tracking number? Or did some of yours just show up without tracking? Hello my fellow October 2011 filers! I've been Missing in action here but I got good news! I got the Congratulatory letter today! Woot woot! This means, we should be hearing a lot more good news, especially from those who filed at Vermont I can feel the positive vibes for everyone ,lol. by the way, the letter is dated July 9,2012, for the record. Congrats Maset! Hopefully VSC starts filling in the gaps! I've been totally out of touch. My husband was admitted to hospital on 23rd April, airlifted to Nashville May 9. He had a liver transplant on may 30th, and was finally discharged to the hospital Lodge yesterday. We have to hang around here until they give him the all clear, which might be another couple of months. I have my mail at home picked up every day. No news so far. Although I confess I've had more on my mind lately than stressing over my GC. So sorry to hear that..I'm glad the transplant went well though. Hope you hear good news soon from USCIS! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2011 Filers	Hi All - I'm filing my I-751 and my petition was received 4th Oct 2011. However, the other day I got a letter saying that I need to provide additional evidence. I submitted: an appartment lease, rent bills for 2011, joint auto insurance, two affidavits, 2010 joint filing tax form and photographs of my spouse and I. They said "The other evidence submitted lists either your name or my husbands name and does not substantiate a bona fide matiral relationship". I think they are referring to the bank account summary I gave them - the bank could only print out one name on the form - so I had two. They go on to say "The evidence aubmitted does not establish, in sufficient detail, joint ownership of assets, joint responsibility for liabilities, and/or active commingling of finance for the duration of the marriage. Supporting documentation must cover as must of the martial period as possible and must also indicate your financial responsibility and joint residency for that same period". So what does this mean? Do I have to show them my bank statements - like the ones you get online? which has the account holders name and then lists the account activity? And then show the new lease for our aparment? Also, we are in the middle of closing on a house - so I would think the mortgage/loan info and the house title in both our names would help? I would really appreciate anyones advice on this. I really don't want any more issues and just want to get on our life here Thank you so much!! Make sure you are sending documentation that spans over the amount of time you've been married. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2011 Filers	I hear ya...getting to that anxious feeling now, especially since some with NOA dates after ours are being approved and we leave for our trip on the 26th. I'm not really expecting having it in hand before we go but there's still a slight possibility that may happen. We're just crossing our fingers we won't have trouble getting back in with the expired GC & the extension letter. How long til you move? We are moving the end of September. We're traveling to Canada in mid-August so who knows if we'll have the GC by then. I just really don't want to move until we have the GC. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2011 Filers	Fiddlesticks!! Got a letter from USCIS today, unfortunately it was a RFE. Should I resubmit the documents I originally sent off or should I just give them what was stated on the RFE? Based on what they put I will probably hold this RFE off till early August because we have a baby on the way and our lease will cycle around. Think I made the mistake of only putting one year worth of evidence in the package. Oh no! I'm sorry Fortunately, you should get an approval shortly after they receive your RFE back! What did they request? I would send more documents spanning two years. And one more good news - - from me!!! Got my "Congratulations!" letter today and decision date is 7/2 However my letter says, my new card will arrive in 60 days unlike as I see DJnk whose letter says 30 days... but seriously, does that matter?! Hi everyone, I just want to give some hope to all of you still hanging in there and waiting for an answer from the INS. My extension is dated on oct 30th and I received an email from USCIS informing me about the production of my card. Be patient guys and it's coming soon for all of us. By the way, I saw a lot of you are worried about traveling with the extension. Because of my job, I go through the customs and immigration at NYC at least 5 times a month since last october and I was sent to the secondary check ONCE because I forgot the letter and I had only a copy of the paper, and they let me go through. The guys know their job and I was always welcomed with a smile and professionalism to be honest. Wow this is great news! That is one of the cities I want to make sure I get to live in at some point in my life. I have lived in PA for some time while attending PSU, I really liked North East better than my current location - FL (people are a little too laid back compared to what I am used to:) ) Have a great weekend! Don't worry too much about this tool.It can be at the same time stressful and helpful.You just have to take it with a pinch of salt.Sometimes it stays useless for quite a while and you think your case is lost who knows where, and then, after checking it 29,876.00 times something new pops-up. It's just not always updated to the minute.My case could not be found still, when i had already receive NOA.Then, we had our interview last monday at 12.30 (approved) and the "my case status" was already on "card production" the very same day around 6pm ! So don't worry and relax, everything will be fine. Thanks for the reply I actually just read at the bottom of the NOA that the case is tracked by the application number on the biometrics letter, not the NOA. I tried to input our Receipt Number - EACxxxxxxxxxx - from the I-797C/NOA at the USCIS.gov website and it says: "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283" Does this mean I won't be able to track my case online? I was under the impression that once they work on your case they have to scan it and that's why you see the update. So I was assuming they are not working on my case since I didn't see any touches. But I think it might be different with the I-751. It's also possible that they're not working on your case right now. There seems to be a big gap between when biometrics are completed and any kind of update/decision from either CSC or VSC at the moment for the majority of people on VJ. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Case updates or touches	Hi folks, I'm curious here if anyone's case gets any updates or touches anytime in the process before approval? with AOS you could always see the case gets touched but noticed I-751 never does. I think it really varies. I've been browsing old filer threads and it seems some people get no touches at all and then get an approval. I remember during my husband's AOS, our I-130 stayed in initial review the entire time, even after approval. I know it's annoying since we all want some type of notice that USCIS hasn't forgotten about us, but I don't think it means your case is frozen or anything. I'm not familiar with the Illinois laws about marrying after a divorce but I've always understood that once a divorce is complete, you are free to remarry. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 Evidence Submitted - Is it enough?	Hi everyone! We just want a little insight on the I-751 process. I’ve seen stories where they have wanted more information from people that sent in TONS of information, and on the other hand, they’ve approved people with little information. We mailed my information on October 1. We’ve since received my NOA1 and had the biometrics appointment. The reason I’m writing is to find out if we submitted sufficient information. Any information would be wonderful! Information Submitted: - Copy of Lease (from September 2010 to present, couldn’t find 2009 and I submitted before my renewal because it was a 13 month lease; when we were first married, we had lived with roommates, and we explained that during our interview(all utilities are paid through our apartment complex (listed in the lease)) - Tax information from 2009 and 2010 (We sent the 1040 forms from the Electronic filing service, and Turbotax confirmation with names, address, filing status of married, and refund, paying status. We didn’t think of getting the transcripts before time) - Bank Statement Summaries (4 from each year of marriage, 2009, 2010, 2011) - Life Insurance Policy (they’re written through State Farm, but when I went through the information yesterday, I noticed, that they used the information from the copy of our driver license at the time, so our addresses are different on the life policy, but it clearly shows us both as the beneficiary, and it’s been in effect since shortly (within a month) after our marriage). - Pictures from various trips (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle, The Grand Canyon, Florida, all over our state of Texas), pictures with family (hers and mine) during holidays, random pictures of us just around the house (those “the dog looks so cute, stop and smile), birthdays, etc. We feel after submitting, that it’s not enough information. We share a car in her name, but it’s listed under her parents address and she still has a loan in her name on it. For cellular bills, mine is company paid, and hers is in her name. I also feel like we messed up because we didn’t send tax transcripts, also. We also read that they may have a problem because she didn’t change her last name. In my home country, it is not customary for the lady to change her surname, so we followed my culture. Do you guys think we’ll have a problem? Did we send enough evidence? The evidence you did send is very solid. I'm sure there could always be more to send in for all of us and it'll be a worry until we receive that 10 year GC However, if they want/need more evidence, you'll get an RFE. I'm sure there are tons of people who send in the tax returns and not the tax transcripts. The millions of people who file and don't even look on VJ wouldn't know to send transcripts because they would just be going off the USCIS instructions which actually states "tax returns" so I think you are fine! If you fall under any of the "exceptions" categories listed in the instructions, there may be other documents you need to send along (such as passport photos), but only you can determine this by reading through the I-751 instructions here: http://www.uscis.gov.../i-751instr.pdf I am not including the list of evidential documents that you need to include with your application but since you asked about forms specifically, I-751 is the only one you need. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	This is my story !!	Are you getting a divorce from your husband or are you simply separated to try and work things out? If you are getting a divorce, you'll need to send in divorce papers after they are completed because you'll need to file to waive the joint filing requirement. If you are simply separated and not planning on getting a divorce, my guess is your separate addresses may cause you to have an interview. You will be explaining your entire situation to a USCIS worker and they will determine whether or not they believe your marriage was entered in good faith based upon your answers. Since you say you did enter in good faith and submitted all the evidence you had along with your 751 application, all you can do now is wait. There is a long gap between the biometrics and an interview/approval date for many at this moment so don't be surprised if you wait months before you hear anything.
