K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	What next after NVC gives you case number	Can someone kind of breakdown on what I should do next, received case number for file on the way to Kingston EMB, sooooo can I track case, do I wait for interview letter, do I go ahead and tell hubby to do police certificate and Certificate of No marriage, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now...but trying my best to dot all my i's and cross my t's. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting Period after Interview	At first the interviewer told my fiancé that he was approved and that they just needed my income tax return papers, after sending that, they said they also needed my W-2's afterwards. Even thought the affidavit papers doesn't mention that, definitely send in all of your tax return papers including W-2's! OK thank you so much for this info... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting Period after Interview	Our K-1 visa interview was on Jan. 2 in Jamaica, the interviewer notified him that he was approved but needed my tax papers. I sent everything to them like two weeks later. After emailing them they notified us that the case was in administrative review, and then two weeks later after sending another email, they said the case was in administrative processing. What's the difference between the two and about how much longer will we have to wait?! Also the ceac website hasn't been updated for us, it keeps saying "ready", from Feb. 3 a whole month after the interview, even though the embassy said we are in administrative processing. This whole process is stressful! Your fiance will have to sign it, you scan it, and then e-mail it to the embassy. Don't worry about DS 160 Are you serious Pinkrlion, don't worry about DS160, OMG that's what I'm working on now...we already did the DS-230, it's just sitting in my folder, should I go ahead and scan it to them, what email address do I use and what do I include in the email with the DS-230? I am a bit confused and anxious. but willing to wait. Howdy right back!!  oh your welcome, don't be scared, it's really easy especially when you have someone helping you. Took me 8 days from my interview date to receive my passport. I kept tracking it online like a mad man but the website doesn't update. I'm glad it didn't take too long for us. I know other applicants are still wating for their passports and visas for 2 months already. I'm tracking it like a mad woman for my fiance, trust me..I just hate that it hasn't updated still saying ready for interview and we are soooo past that stage...Did yours ever update at all even at the Issued stage? I felt the same way too. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Have u seen this before	Hi all, I had to put in a service request with the USCIS on Monday January 27, 2014 because we were beyond processing times...and received this response from them this morning:    The status of this service request is: We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. We have had to perform an additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently with an adjudicating officer. You should receive a decision or notice of further action within 60 days.   What I want to know is has anyone ever received this before, is this pretty much standard..good or bad...additional review????..our package is crystal clear...has anyone seen this type of response before......shaking in my boots over here..someone please help me with this.... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2013 K-1 Filers	Go here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ - click on Check My Visa Application Status under Immigrant Visa. Then put in the case number,..... not the SRC number, click Submit, and a window pops up with the status of your case. Right now, it should read "In Transit". Hope this helps. Thanks Trisha Just wanted to let everybody know, that TODAY I had my medical in Frankfurt/ Germany! The Lady that was checking me was so nice! Everything is fine and the documents are getting send to the embassy in Germany now (also in Frankfurt) I am truely so happy!! X-ray, vaccinations, everything is good :-) And we were getting last Friday our NOA2 hardcopy in mail and the USCIS was changing our status online, also on Friday, that it is getting shipped to NVC now!! When can we start calling them and ask for the case number??? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2013 K-1 Filers	Hi Devy and Lynette, I'm just curious about how you went about writing your senator. I saw that you thanked Trisha on the instructions, but I can't seem to find in this thread where she mentioned how or what I'm supposed to write to my senator.    I'm an October filer, so it's only been 4 months for me. It's still very frustrating because it does seem that you're either approved early or 6+ months down the line I want to do anything possible that I can to make things go faster. I can't file a request yet since we don't pass the processing time until March 15th, but I would love to know if there is something else I can possibly do. Calls to their customer service never get me anywhere past "you're not past approximated processing time, sorry".   I've been checking up on y'all August folks waiting on NOA2 for a while, very happy to see you get yours. I really hope Trisha's comes in soon. Hi Churches91, I looked online and located her..where does your fiance live..just tell them to google state's senator, and most likely most senators have needing help with federal agencies on their website, mine asked me to fill and print out the release form and then fax or mail it to her office, I also attached a short but sweet letter telling her that we've been at the USCIS for 6months plus and we were led to believe that we should have an answer by now and we don't and how we would like for this to get done as we are ready to be together...they don't do online much as it's a privacy thing...I really think when she called them they got the ball to rolling and it got approved.  Senators and Congressmans are supposed to be there for us ...so I tried thanks again to Trisha and it worked..I hope she gets hers soon as possible.  IF you have any more questions, I love helping others as I needed help as well. We are worrying a lot because a lot of cases got approved already even though they filed way later than us according to Igor's List :'(   ...Can I ask you couple questions? How did you contact your senator? Via email or regular mail? What did you write her?   And another stupid question: How do I know who is the responsible senator for our case?   I am German citizen and my fiance lives in Florida.   Thank you very much!!!     Thank you soo much Pinpanella, that's how we felt sooo many cases got approved before us, we were so hurt the whole time, after filing in August and then seeing people who filed in Oct. and Nov and were getting there NOA2, we felt awful that this was happening, but after the processing period was over, we put in a service request with the USCIS and contacted our Senator...you have to find the senator that is responsible for handling federal agencies, this is your florida Senator   http://www.billnelson.senate.gov/   he will help you in speaking with federal agencies, he has a form on his website, you just fill it out online and they give you an aoption to fax or mail it to their office ...Oh we also attached a short, but sweet letter explaining our situation and how we were led to believe that we would hear something within 5 months and had not, definitely contact him, it helped us a lot.  Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2013 K-1 Filers	OMG, Hi everyone, while 2 days shy of 6 months today, we have finally been approved.  I can't believe it, it hasn't sunk in, wrote my senator just a week and 1/2 ago, let me tell you this lady don't play, she inquired on January 31 and we got our approval today, Shout out to Senator Mikulski out of State of MD.  I'm soooooooo freakin happy right now!!!  The wait is over:   Post Decision Activity On February 7, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283     Now VJ'ers, please please tell me what do I do next?  If you have step by step directions please lead me to them...I would sooo appreciate.  What a happy friday!!!! Hi Hakobrena..how are you???  I received it via email, the one I have signed up for online, I put the request in via customer service operator at USCIS, I also wrote my senator on Wednesday, I'm really not sure if she had something to do with it, but I received this response via email early this morning like at 9am...my initial review is still the same, case says still hasn't been updated since Sept. 5, 2013 with the alien registration number thingy..Hang in there!!!! I already heard this one week ago they said july 16, and they also said everyday the date moving up. So how come they keep saying the same date a week later??????? This is soooo hopeless oh my dear God!!!!!! Im getting so mad now!!! I hope Davy&Lynette are ok, we don't hear from them, I hope they are holding on. OK, I talked to the level 2 officer after waiting for 2hours, but I was able to put my phone number in and have them call me back.  Like hakobrena said they all talk like robots, he basically said everything was fine and normal, I felt like they lost my packet since I haven't heard from them, but he said that everything was fine and right now it's taking like six to seven months for them to approve "these" packages, he said my package hadn't even been assigned to an adjudication officer yet, I wanted to cuss I swear and say so my packet is just sitting somewhere on someone's desk for the last 5 months, I know it has dust on it, I just know it...anyway..he then preceded to say that I can call back when my 5 month deadline is up to get the packet escalated..told me happy holidays and that was it, so basically we got nowhere, but I was glad to know that they haven't lost it, So my friends all we can do is put our patience cap back on and continue to wait...BUMMER!!!
