K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSomeone has been filling their tmeline
I don't remember all the dates that we moved to, but we did start somewhere new the end of January and moved rather quickly to December 24 and then back to December 26 and now this morning we took a leap forward to December 19, It would seem that a slight setback has benefits for us and I hope it does for everyone else also.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSomeone has been filling their tmeline
Just checked my possible ajudication date and I have moved back 2 days :o the good thing is that it means some that didn't are now taking the time to fill in the timeline  the more that do the closer to the truth we get. :D

Take a moment and fill them in and see how far back you can set me

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProcessing Times...
Kitkat1,

I am sorry that you took what I wrote in a manner that was not my intention to lay before you.

I am aware of the functions of the CS’s

I have just now become aware of the reason you see nothing slightly funny about what was written, you or your fiancé(e) are a resident of Mexico and I have touched a nerve.

My apologies to everyone residing or engaged to someone residing in Mexico who may have been offended.

Chris-n-Veronica, Thank you for making my comment clear. I am glad that you realized it was Ron and not Sharon writing

I wasn’t venting as I have nothing to yet vent about.

Future attempts at adding a few smiles will be thought of but not acted upon, future post will be of a positive nature only dealing with what is thought pertinent and to everyones benefit.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFreak!
I'm hoping that the techies soon get things going at CSC, it would be nice even though useless to get a touch, non in the last 23 days. Not anxious too old for that, just curious as many others are, but we are too old for that too but still it would be nice. As far as the numbers go they will get better and then worse and again better and there is nothing to do, but remember that you are still closer to the end today than you ever were.

As it has been said many time before "Patience my A$$ I'm going to kill something"
Ron/SharonMaleCanada2006-10-24 07:03:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresi feel very devastated!!!

ok i've been looking at my USCIS account since saturday 10/21 if theres any changes in my case then after that they seem to touch my case so many times dated 10/23,10/24,10/25 and today 10/26..almost this whole week.. i called and verified if I got approve yet? apparently, the lady said NO NOT YET?the CO is still looking at it? Im thinking to myself why? they cant decide if im approve or denied?? ok now im worried i might be denied??? i hope NOT!! I rather want another 3rd RFE than to Denied my case???.....What does this mean help!!!!

Remember each time an adjudicator touches your file they scan it. Even if they spill coffee on it and touch it when they clean it up. :D

I sure wish someone would spill some coffee on ours or at least dust it off. We aren't expecting anything soon but an acknowlegement (touch) once in a while would be nice. Timeline is as it was.

I have sent in an ovelapping date on mine and have heard nothing of it and doubt very much I will, we did get the NOA-1 in good time. I did list the places and dates that I worked which is what is asked for in the space provided.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVJ Timelines
Hi folks, sure hope you're not getting down because of the changes in the VJ Timeline ajudication dates, it seems the more that fill them (timelines) out the farther back we go. I'm talking about the date at the bottom of the page that changes almost daily. We weren't too happy when we were in late January but felt better as we moved into December, now we are going with the flow since we are now looking at an early February date knowing very well that there is nothing to do but wait our turn throughtout the process.

I will tell you that I dam!!! near scared myself today thinking about the I-134 Affidavit for Support, I thought it was for ten years and thankfully it is only for three since Sharon retires in four years had it been longer it would have put a damper on everything to my thinking.

Now that I have writen the above nonesence I have a curiosity question.

We are both in our 60s does USCIS have a cutoff point? We would like to be together before we reach it!

Ron

NOA-1 - 9/28 - Touched 11/18 and keeping an eye on the mail/e-mail/on-line case status service. Wasn't really expecting anything until mid December, am hoping everything is done by July.

Congrats!!
It's nice to see CSC working in a timely manner still.
Merry Christmas, eh?

I think 79 days is very good at least for us it seems to be perfect as we worked on other things during the waiting process. We were expecting a much longer wait but will take what was given to us. I do wish they would get to the older petitions so those people have something to look forward to.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDoes the USCIS (secretly) discriminate based on age?

I can't see why they would discriminate - people marry at all sorts of ages!

We're 62 and 63 and ready for a second and final time at the alter and figure that if there was discrimination it would be in our favor, we're old with an attitude when need be.

Right now we are being well taken care of, we did have our what the hell moments as everyone else here has or will have but they pass. When looking at the calendar count from today to the beginning of your journey and you will see the beginning slip farther and farther away and that will give you a better feeling than trudging along seeking a destination that is not anywhere and totally out of your personal control.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCase sent to Montreal
As of the conversation this morning with NVC our case left NVC yesterday the 28th heading for Montreal, I think it was headed that way on the 27th and arrived on the 28th and not sent on the 28th since there were no deliveries from NVC to Montreal since the 27th on DHL.

This happened much quicker tham we thought but 9 month of reading the guides and post before filing help us do the right things the right way. Thank you all very much for being here and helping us get together.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTPLEEEEEEEASE HELP!!! URGENT!!! To marry within 90 days of arrival in the US.
Yes, you need to type the letter and sign it and send it to your fiancée to be added to the I-129F package being sent to the visa centre.

Your fiancée in America also has to type the letter and sign his/hers and place it with yours in the I-129F package.

All the best on your trip.

The following is what most if not all of the VJr's use as the letter of intent.
It does not need to be notarized.
you have to write one and sign it.
your fiancée needs to write one and sign it.
NO, you cannot both sign the same one

My suggestion to you is do as we did we joined VJ 9 months before filing and read the guides followed the guides and in less than 3 month are at the consulate. Your present question and replies show that you aren't prepared for the trip that is ahead but the good thing is that there are good people here that will help you as long as you are willing to help yoursevles.

PS each person that has replied to you has already done what you are asking since they all have there NOA-1 so they can't be wrong can they.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTPLEEEEEEEASE HELP!!! URGENT!!! To marry within 90 days of arrival in the US.

PLEASE HELP!!! I am confused... some people say that only my fiance (US citizen) signs an intentions paper to marry within 90 days of my arrival in the US. But some people say that I need sign the same paper here in Kazakhstan, after i need to notorize it, to translate it, notorize the translation and send it to my fiance to US where he will submit it with all petition.

We are confused! i am already send via express mail service my G-325A (signed by me) and passport standard photos. He plans to recieve it on this week and send the aplication to TSC on this week as well.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Original statements (from both the US Citizen and foreign fiance) certifying an intent to marry within 90 days of entering the US on a valid K-1. (see example)

There should be two letters of intent one from you and one from your fiancée, no need to have either one notarized but both should be in english. Check the guides the is an example there that we used and you can also. Read and follow the guides and you can't go wrong.

If you didn't put down deceased I would think they (USCIS or CSC) would want to know why you can't get the information from them. Your best bet would be to try and contact a relative to get the information for you. What right now is more important to you, your fiancé or not talking to your parents.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGerman police certificate
After filling the form on-line, and then taking it to the German embassy with the proper documentation to be validated, I sent it to Germany by UPS overnight on Feb. 23rd it arrived on the morning of the 24th, it was returned by airmail on the 26th, and I received it on the 27th when I got home from work. It took a total of 4 days when I was expecting it to be a minimum of a 2 week wait, so you can expect it to arrive within the 2 week period.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresa-number receipt number
You will receive your "A" number once you get the NOA 2 a few months down the road. As stated above leave that part blank. You will first receive a NOA1 which will tell you they have received your petition then a few months later after gong through the process you will get the NOA 2 then the wait will begin. Good luck wit the process.
NOA means Notice of Action, you will get 2 of them
