Thanks for the answers. However, he has never been to the U.S. so the "when" doesn't matter. ;-) Just wondering if I put Ottawa or New Jersey since he will actually activate the visa at customs in Ottawa at the airport.

Put down Ottawa, that is what I did and there was no problem with that.

Ignore my previoius response it was posibly not right for the situation, ottawa is good as a point of entry but I have no clue as to what is wanted in the forms you are preparing.

CanadaWeather & Road Report
Good morning y'all from downtown Ottawa, Ontario where the temp is a balmy -26C / -14F and with a slight breeze making it feel like a very cool 36C / -33F. Today you need a friend to get around as the busses are still on strike, God bless those black heart buss drivers.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionVery Weird Date change!
It has happened to us with our I-601, we always had 04-08-2008 for months then one days it changed to 0?-01-09 and the same day within hours reverted back to the original date and remained then for a week or so then we recieved an e-mail from CRIS stating our waiver was approved.

I hope it is a sign that everything is going in the right direction.

I am sorry to bug in. I just checked the case status at USCIS website. It is approved. I quoted the status.

Receipt Number: WAC0900851515

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 16, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Am I missing anything here?

I am in USCIS mess myself. Hope you are fine now.

Can you please update your timeline?
Also, it is not a good idea to put your actual case number on a public forum.

The case number belongs to Art Bell and not Ping78. Stay with the program.

PhilippinesBank Drafts for foreign Country Police Clearances
QUOTE (TinTin and Samby @ Oct 16 2007, 11:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi to all.

Can anyone share their practical advice on where in the Philippines they went to get a bank draft issued in other country currency (ie Singapore Dollars or Japanese Yen) to send as payment along with application forms to those other countries for Police Clearance Certificates. Thanks!

I think that if you call the embassy or consulate for each country they could advise you on method of payment.
When I sent for my German certificate I paid directle at the embassy and mailed the proof of payment, I paid in canadian money.

Get a photocopy of both sides of the check that was returned to the bank, the back side will have your number on it, the number used for tracking purposes. It will be the number that starts with 3 letter, once you get that someone here can help you further.

I smoke at my place partially to piss my neighbour off, because they pissed me off when I moved in because of my smoking in front of the building and partially because it is my place heII I pay the rent and I don't want to walk down 3 flights of stair every time. My neighbour happens to be a fanatic environmentalist who I love sticking it to every time they tell me I am infringing upon their rights, I tend to remind them they have the right to move out if they feel offended by my habit.

I do not smoke when with Sharon unless we are outside, no smoking in the car, in the house or any other places such as restuarants with smoking sections.

You are not in a need to know only relationship.

You do need to know where you stand and where you stand has to be on solid ground without a moment of doubt on your mind or in your heart.

Fog has fallen on your path (doubt), you must stop wait for the air to cleared (Q&A time) to see if the road is straight (right As to your Qs) or forked (wrong As to your Qs you go right he goes left).

This is a serious as others have said RED FLAG, you have to talk to get all the answers you want that will satisfy you. Don’t listen to “if you loved me you would be doing this” just turn it on him and say “if you loved me you wouldn’t have placed me in a position where I had do this”.

My Sharon does not and never has given me any reason to question her, and she has never questioned me so I can only hope I never gave her a moment of doubt.. Your invitation was no accident Angelsact in mysterious ways.

I hope you find a perfect solution, one that will be true and just not for one but both of you.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPolice certificates
I have just had a DOH moment, much thanks to felris. I never thought of getting a certificate from Germany where I had spent 2 years.

I was in the forces in Germany in the last part of the 60s and early 70s and lived on the Canadian Forces bases in Werl and Lahr. My question is would a certificate be necessary from Germany or would my military records be sufficient proof that I have no convictions there.

This may be a good time to visit the German embassy here and see if they can help in some way if the need be.

Thank you felris for jogging my memory, I hope the RCMP work quickly and you get everything very soon.

Just a few (2 or 3) of each from the beginning, middle and from the present would be enough to satisfy them, too much is never better unless it is chocolate gain there is never too much chocolate.

It could start with EAC or WAC and there may be other alphabetical combinations not too sure since mine started with WAC, basically there are 3 letters and a series of number as follows. EAC-00-000-00000

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresUSCIS DIRECTOR ?
Sending any thing to the people at the top will most often not garner the results we are seeking and since it is another level of bureaucracy they may not be able to reply to your satisfaction of the goings on in the dungeons below.
I think the reason some go through quicker than others is that some of the employees are not afraid to take responsibility for their actions and decisions and others will sit on petitions until the last available moment then ask for guidance trying to put off the inevitable for as long as possible.

I have mailed my complete package to the Director of USCIS/DHS's generic address in Washington and they received it over 2 weeks ago and I have yet to hear a confirmation of receipt or any other comment from them, believe me I am not holding my breath. I have 3 more packages to ready to be forwarded but not yet in 4 weeks if I have no reply from Washington I will mail them to each of the following with letters as to why they receiving these packages. 1. to the state Senator where my fiancé lives – 2. to The Ambassador of the United States of America in Canada – 3. to The Consular General of the United States of America in Montreal. Do I expect any results from any of the above 4 no but I will chance it anyway, maybe the skies will open and a light will shine and they may see the light and do their work correctly.

Tell your fiancé to sit tight things will move again. Mail or e-mail Washington only if you feel that it will help you and not hinder your progress. Remember that if your file is pulled from its position it may not be returned there nor moved to the top of the other.

P.S. Just to clarify; my documents sent to Washington are because of a waiver request not because of the way the process is going.

Immigration Hell, I hope your friends can work something out that will keep them together. I am sorry for them and I am sure that they are not the first nor will they be the last to suffer at the hands of USCIS.
Sharon and I are very deep in thought about giving up the process also but not leaving each other. There are many factors involved and our denial and I-601 didn't help very much to make things easier. We should have been together by now and we are looking at 12 to 18 months apart without a guarentee of aceptance in the future. Our future right now depends entirely on Sharon's job and how things go there since today is her first day back after enduring many months due to family issues.

Go to the German embassy website and download the form for Certificate of good conduct. You will need to fill this out and bring it to the german embassy or consulate to pay the processing fee and get the receipt which you must mail with the application to Germany. Germany is rather quick and everything should be returned to you in about a week or so.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhere are all you Canadians?
I believe that CRA Canada Revenue Agency would have the information that is required since at tax time you were to list your adresses and rent paid on the forms. They should be able to find the information dating back to the time you left home and started living on your own and paid rent. Go to Government of Canada.ca then to department then to Canada Revenue agency and then to tax, I'm sure that there is a 1-800 number you can call for further help.

All the best to you

Folks in or around my timeline are hoping for a thankgiving NOA2 and I'm here hoping and thinking that a NOA2 around January would be very good and that everything would be over by July if everything went well.
