I just lost my job recently. Does anyone know if Consulate in Laos will accept a sponsor for K1 visa?

I'm going to assume they do but another Member can only answer that. I'm unfamiliar with Loas.
But, to help other Members, what was your Gross Income on 2010 Taxes and ANTICIPATED 2011 Gross Income. ?
There is NO requirement for Income on the 129-F Petition. I see NVC has your File and will go to that Country Soon.
Save all your Stubs from Payment from Unemployment if you are getting benefits.

Can we get married and immediately LEAVE U.S.A?

I want to marry a girl from Slovakia in December--I am a US citizen. We want to get married here and have our honeymoon here, then go back to Slovakia for 6 months and then return again to the US to THEN go through the process to make her a permanent resident. I have looked everywhere and I can't get a straight answer on this one question:

Can we leave the country immediately after getting married? What kind of process would be required when we're ready to come back & could it be approved within the 6 months we're in Slovakia?

This question is alittle over my head but heres a stab in the dark and could be totally wrong.

She is currently here on some type of Visa not related to a CR-1 or K-1. I think yes you can marry here and honeymoon as long as she does not overstay that Visa she currently holds.
Then, you mention to stay in Slovakia for 6 months as Husband and Wife AND THEN Return to the US as Husband and Wife and start the process. Thats where I see a posible problem.
She will most likely not be able to re-enter as now she is married to you and does not yet qualify as USC just because of marridge. I Think you will have to go through the process like everyone else does and File a CR-1 Petition. Her status on her Visa/Passport upon re-entry will have changed.
Like I said, these are just my thoughts and maybe totally wrong.

Money order

My husband i alwasy use money orders, for K-1 and again for AOS and we've never had a problem. We just make sure that we get tracking on the package when we send it so that we know when they receive it

This is not about the receiving of a package but proof payment was made. A money order can take weeks to recover if lost and funds sent back to the purchaser if a mistake was made. A Bank Cashiers Check can be Validated Immediately. Thats my Point here. Respectfully. Like I said: most of the time it works out fine but sometimes errors are made. Its worth $ 5.00 .

No I didn't...My fiance doesn't have checks and is insisting that money order from Walmart would do. I am not sure how it works and why would we need to track the money order as long as we know that the petition is received and signed for?

You can walk into any Bank and pay Cash plus a small fee for a Cashiers Check. Made out to US Dept of Homeland Security. Do you want to be like so many Members here wondering why they never got their NOA1 yet. A Walmart Money Order is added stress. But, its up to you.

The letter of Intent is to be sent with the 129-F to the Dallas location. And thats the start. There is NO Embassy involved at this time. It goes to USCIS in Texas first for approval of a NOA1.
Tell me where it says to send a Letter of Intent before approved for a NOA1 to an Embassy? Thats what I mean. The OP has not even started yet.

You don't need a specific address on your letter of intent it will be included with your packet to the Embassy. Just make sure it is identified with you if it gets separated.

Is it a reason for Denial ? We would need some simple answers from you to start to try and help.
What was his Gross Income for 2011?
Is he getting temporary Unemployment benefits until he can find another job and if so what is his weekly benefit amount?
How much in savings or cash and/or assets?
If you don't answer, its hard to help.
Thats a start to help with your question.

How to document/submit text messages (SMS) as evidence?

As part of my evidence of a bonafide relationship, I plan to submit text messages that we have sent to each other over the last year. What is the best way to present/submit these? There is really no way to reliably show who they came from or when they were sent. I can forward them to my email account, but that strips off the header information and leaves only the text of what was said.

My carrier is Verizon, if that makes a difference, and my cell phone bill shows the number of international texts I have sent in a given billing period, but not the numbers to which they were sent. More detailed records are listed in my online account (the phone number & date, but not the message itself), but if I submitted these it would only be as a screencap. And quite a few of them were sent using a third party PC application my long-distance provider has, so they don't show up anywhere (I have only the date and the text that was sent). Does anyone have any ideas? Does this even matter?

You might be going alittle overboard with your worries. Your Timeline indicates no 129-F filed yet. Therefore, it will go to Dallas in the US and not any Embassy at this time.
You would be dealing with Homeland Security at this point with your approval of the NOA1 and not approval from any Embassy.
Send what you have at this time but be sure of proof of other requirements. (Pictures, Boarding Passes and all that other ####### included with your 129-F Petition. Send what you have. They can tell an e-mail to a future spouse.
I would strongly suggest some other means of Documentation such as Yahoo, etc. Save every page of any phone bill as well. (Shows international calls) Submit these as well.
Approval of the 129-F is the easiest part. Don't make it a personal headache.

Tourist visa denials are quite common and do not typically affect the immigration visa process.

I would say thats alittle bit early to say and waiting for a response from the OP if wished to disclose the reason(s). I would be very cautious about one Visa denied and trying for another until the facts are in.

Write unemployed and and give the dates. If there is no room write a attachment labeled: Attachment to 325-A. Give all the dates and go back as far as they ask. List former employers on the 325-A and give addresses on your attachment. Paperclip this to the 325-A Original. As far as it being lost, send Confirmation Delivery and track it. It is rare these are lost going to Dallas but make copies. Do not forget to sign and date the attachment. In INK

1) She goes back to the Doctor on Jan.30. I hope her sister can go with her and help. I have not submitted this yet (I am having you all proof it first) Do you think I should wait until after her appointment to send it to USCIS?

YES After the Appointment and clarify in writing to the Physician that you need a Statement on their Letterhead that she is in Dire need of your care. You need it in WRITING Signed and dated to submit with your request. I have NO experience on this but makes sense to me.

Sorry I don't see anything that mandates an expedite.

1) Pregnancy and living conditions there are the norm - for there.

2) Your finances are not of any concern to anyone in this process beyond you proving you make 125% or more of the guidelines. For sure not a reason to expedite.

Sorry Hank. I think if Medical Paperwork is properly Executed and Filed by a Physician/Petitioner and the Petitioner meets Guildlines there is a posible speed-up in the Process. I can relate as so can you, Medical care is NOT around the corner in the Phils.
Without a Doctors Agreement then I see no Avail. If the Doctor agrees, there is a chance.

Retirement Income above supportive levels is Important. Additional Income even though the employer refuses to write a statement or letter is easily bypassed by check stubs/bank account records.
Sounds like your father-in-law just needs to spend a day getting paperwork together and provide you what you need to sponsor.

G-325A Questions

Hello,

I'm filling out a G-325A for the I-129F I'm the beneficiary living in the Philippines and have a few questions.

1. Under employment, I can't remember the street address for some of my past jobs. I do have the city and country, that's all I can remember. So, would it be ok to just list the information that I have?

2. Under residence, I can't remember the street address where I lived in the past. I have all the other information. So, how should I write this down?

Complete the Form as best and honestly as you can. The G-325-A on the the beneficiary sometimes can be off-track. They are going to be more concerned about the Petitioners 325 . I know it seems odd. Just go back the 5 or ten years they ask for. If you don't know then state so. I have never seen a Benificiary get a RFE for Not remembering addresses. Complete as best as YOU CAN.

No- you need to FILE within 2 years. You already filed, so you are fine.

OK Doll. I won't start a new Thread since it might even help the OP to Understand. I thought everything VISA in Hand had to be done before September 1st 2012. (Since that was the last time I seen her) I did'nt File until December 2010 and NOA1 Approved.
My thinking was September 1st 2012 or start all over again. I sent Mav's Visa Fee and she has the money already in the bank I sent for her Medical, but I told her to wait until I get a Job. See Timeline......
I DON"T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE AND TERRIFIED. And I have an Attorney but thats a waste of time.

My Last years 3 years Tax returns are above Requirements barely. Unemployment is not a good thing to send Mav's to an Interview with. I feel the Philippines will reject any Petition without a job and also even if the minium requirements are met, they will want to see a Income MORE THAN USCIS Standards of $18,500.00 (Approx) I Don't know. They are strick.
I had Mav pay the Visa Fee because its Locked in for a Year. The Medical is good for 6 months.

I am sorry to bring negative info but it can NOT be easily fixed with a waiver. The 2 year requirement is very strict, and we have had people here denied for being 2 days over from NOA1 date, when they sent it in earlier. A waiver takes a long time to adjudicate, time you will loose. So if you do get the RFE for meeting within 2 years, I strongly suggest you withdraw the petition, go meet, and file again. This will also go towards bonafide relationship.

Is the 14th July the day you sent the petition? If so, your NOA is probably even later than than that.

OH #######! I'm going to have to ask a Simular Question about this Thread. But since my question is slightly different I will ask Under "Philippines Forum" so that I don't split Threads.
If I'm reading this Post correctly, you waited to File After 2 Years of Physically Meeting. (Even by 5 Days) Thats a RED LIGHT. (Red means: STOP) I will be asking for some simular advice from Members soon myself on a different Thread.
I agree with the above post if I'm Understanding that you did'nt File after the 2 year Deadline.

My thinking is: I left September 1st 2010 and that was the last time I physically seen her. So I assume I must have everything completed before September 1st 2012.
