I have been reading through threads and I've learned that in most cases those who got approved for a visa pick-up are only those beneficiaries accompanied by their foreign fiance on the interview day. Good luck and hope to hear back from you soon.

Rhosie

there were some visa-pick-up approvals before, even though their petitioner were not there during the interview.

yes I heard several pinays who where granted visa pick up tho there fiance we're not with them, give a try alex,in my case I will surely ask the CO

QUOTE (beckypua @ Sep 15 2007, 12:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Some get to pick visa up. Some don't.
Depends on the CO.
Some of the time you get the same courier from Delbros that delivered the packet.
My wife did and still had his CP number and called him just after approval.
We promised a minor contribution to his favorite charity and he picked up the visa and delivered it to my wife at a Jollibee as my wife lived in the bundoks and very difficult to find unless Delbros used Google Earth!! blink.gif

I planned to have a request for pick up also, cause they have a hard time finding my place here in Baguio cause its on bundoks laughing.gif

I read some people before that they didn't give a letter, they just asked the CO, that was last year, I don't know if its applicable till now

My girl had her interview on aug. 14th and had to return with more papers two weeks later. After interview was over, she was told to go home and wait for us to call you. They still have all her papers and passport. Its been 3 weeks now and we are still waiting. Does anyone know how long it takes for AR? Thanks

tommy

sorry to hear that, but AR starts from 1 week up to several months, depends on the missing document that they asked....call Lorraine Gonzales 528-6300 extension 5184 to update your case

Sheriff Uling is right, Lorraine and Sandy entertains calls coming from the USC and gives more details, but there were occasions (more often than not) that they don't give direct answers when a Pinay/Pinoy calls for follow-ups/info about their cases and they would just say "It is still under review". This is the reason why when I make advise on calling Lorraine for follow-ups, I often mention that the USC calls and not the applicant.

If she would like to enter the site, she is most welcome of course. But for those who will be asking (in the future or for those who already asked some questions) on how to get around with some problems like not admitting things/stuffs during the medical and interview--- maybe "we" should refrain from asking? If there are spies lurking around, and you have your pictures on this site, they "might" take note of it? What do you think peeps? Like what sqdnGuns mentioned, this could be also be a "double edged sword".

yes its true it can happen.....in the end they will be more strict than ever maybe

There were reported cases of missing passport but that was 2005 and they (SLEC) allow applicants to carry/bring the passport with them for the interview. But since then nothing of such sort had been reported so they went back to their old protocols and procedures:-> SLEC will forward the medical results together with the passports and pictures to USEM.

thanks for clarifying that issue to me...

Im 100% sure that I read this issue before whistling.gif

I read somewhere that it can be requested to Saint Lukes to take back the passport on the last day of Medical cause there are some instances that Saint Lukes lost it and it did create a delay of the interview.....

Can someone share if they did this? cause I plan to do it also, I don't want my interview to be reset cause of carelessness of other people.....

We have given them all the papers they asked for. I think they are doing a background check on my girl. They also said it will take 4-6 weeks.
First they said 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks, now its 4-6 weeks. Does NOT sound good. Hope all goes well for both of us.

back ground check is very common as the reason while others don't have 1040 and was still approve and the visa is on her way.....
