Well, we got some great news today, I checked the USCIS site and it said we were approved and our Notice was sent out yesterday, July 26. Of course we are very very excited, Just wanted to come by, update our time line and post here to reassure others to hang in there. We shared the same date as many of you. So you all should be next. I must also say, i only called once using the RFE trick, it was a week ago today and the lady said our case was on route to a case worker. It hadn't been assigned yet but she said, it was "on route". We never got a single touch, not even when i made the call, none whatsoever and today it just said it was approved and sent to us. So do not worry if you dn't get any touches. Good luck everyone! RFE TRICK Call 1.800.375.5283 follow these prompts 1,2,2,4,2,1 then enter your receipt number then press 1 to verify that is is correct,1. This will transfer you to the Service Center your petition is at. Wioombeen Remember this will most likely result in a touch. This touch most likely does not mean your case is being processed. I've just rang up...lol... They've said there's been no action taken as yet on my case...But..I got the typical "we are working on cases that were received in January speech...that mine will be looked over within 3 months or less". Did you call just the USCIS or did you use the RFE trick to get to the CSC? just calling the USCIS shouldn't result in a touch. at least it never has for me. But calling the CSC through the RFE prompts normally does. I think just USCIS....he will try to use the RFE trick tomorrow, by the way Congratulations.... Philippines	Is Friend's Fiancee Scamming Him? How to convince him?	Out of curiosity, how much support has he been sending every month? He doesn't know. Several thousand US dollars in 10 months. Some of it was for taxes on packages he would send. He's afraid to add it all up. She's unrelenting too. Even after learning of the extra fb accounts (which she says she only had because she needed privacy from him), after he said he would not send money for the bday party, she cried. "I'll just stay in my bedroom for my bday." She even hung up on him again last night, and when he didn't call back, she called him back and cried some more. I bet she wants more money within the next week. He sends money at least 4 to 5 times a month.   Here's the things I can remember so far: Dentist, at least 2 or 3 times. Doctors, at least 2 or 3 times, those urinary infections keep coming back, oh, and cramps too. Brother tried to commit suicide, more money for doctors and medicine Rent Electricity bill, it keeps getting shut off internet, so she can talk to her other bf water bill, St Lukes, Extra money at st lukes for phyc eval extra money for extra shots at st lukes, oh never mind, she ended up not needing that after all once he said no travel costs to st lukes, and of course the aunt too don't forget food for 10 months oh, and those $85 (US dollar) Nikes and the tattoo don't forget travel to go to internet café two different sets of photo shoots, have to have something to post on fb on... and on.... and on, these are only the things I have heard of   He's reading this. If you are concerned for your friend then be a friend and say something.  It may bite you in the butt, but at least you said something.     My mother was annoyed that no one told her what a scumbag they thought her 3rd husband was.  She thought everyone liked him and approved.  Had she have known she may not have married him, or she might have anyway, but it would have been better to know she's told me.   Yes. We are telling him, and yes, it has bit us in the butt. She no longer wants to talk to him while he is at our house. Her message last night to him before he left was "I want a private relationship [?conversation?]". This is how she hooks him in just before asking for more money. We will probably not see him as much now, because I have a feeling she'll get mad when he comes over. And what about if and when she gets here. Are we supposed to pretend that we like her? No way. I don't know how we can do that.   I just forwarded him the link to this post. He is probably reading it now. I hope people can convince him to chime in. Instead of trying to convince me that his fiancée's explanations and excuses are worthy, let's see if he can convince anyone here. I dont want to be judgmental but your friend's fiancee seems to love him not by who he is but by what he has... May I share our story then...My fiance and I have known each other for 2 years now but eversince, I have never asked him to send me money. On our first months, he had always been offering because he knows I am jobless but I always said no. I just want him to prove that I love him not because of material things. But he was able to convince me just mid last year that he would send some. Yet, I still put in my bank account and if he sends more, sometimes I will still say no and I would say I still have enough. Actually, on april 15th, it marks our 2 yrs meeting but until now, we have never tried arguing because we really love, respect and understand each other. Sometimes, I am asking myself if it is really normal lol. Since we never quarrel, I think the biggest test that we have had was last year, when he visited me here in the phils, and we had a vehicular accident that we almost lost each other. Though, I was in physical pain, I was still grateful that he was less injured than me but we realized more how much we love each other... Good luck to your friend. It's not yet too late.... You should encourage him to develop more self esteem, grow a pair and move on to someone with less drama and a hidden agenda. Yes. He needs some balls, and he is a bit immature as well, being his first relationship. I remember my younger years, when first learning to date. Sometimes guys, me more than once, have a habit of holding on way to long because they are afraid of the loneliness that may come if they call it quits. After a couple of times of getting my heart broke, I got a thicker skin and learned to never take ####### like that from a girl. He needs to learn the same. Hopefully everyone's word here will help me convince him.   The facebook thing is so crazy. I never know what I will see the next day between them. One day they are engaged, the next day not. He should look at this opportunity for change in his life to look for both .., secure a new job first and then look for a more suitable girl. She seems very manipulative and deceitful; completely unconcerned for his situation and means. FU this and FU that - vulgar language is a lack of respect and lack of class. Perhaps your friend finds that acceptable, but I wouldn't. The way a person talks, addresses others and carries themselves is an important indication as to who they are and how they will respect/fit in with a partner. He is certainly not looking for another fiancée. Lol. Just looking for another job.   I agree about the language. My wife and I have never talked like that to each other, and I know I would never put up with something like that. My friend on the other hand, is afraid of being alone. He thinks this is his only shot at happiness, even though I tell him there will be no happiness with her. My good friend met his fiancée at a resort when we took him to the Philippines to be my best man at my second wedding with my wife's family. When we all met her, she seemed so nice, however, my wife was not convinced. Since then, so many things have happened that I think my wife was right. We have tried our best to stay on the side lines, but I don't think I can do it any more. I am worried for my friend, and so are the rest of his friends and family.   My friend's fiancée just finished her medical and finished paying for her interview (my friend paid of course). It is scheduled for two months out. She does not work, never has, comes from a poor family in Manila, and expects my friend to 100% support her, which he has now been doing for 10 months. The number of family emergencies and doctors visits since then have been unreal. Not only does he support her for food and bills for the house, she gets very angry if he doesn't help with all the emergencies too. Yet, she never shows receipts to him for any of the things he pays for. She says, "the doctor didn't give me a receipt". Whenever he says he can't send more money, she gets mad and unfriends him from facebook. She calls him all kinds of names and then doesn't talk to him for a day or two. After that, she apologizes, gets all nice, and then finally convinces him to send more money. This has happened too many times to count now.   My friend recently found out he is going to loose his job, which barely meets the minimum requirements for his fiancée to come here. He is very worried and looking for another. However, his fiancée still wants him to send 14,000 pesos for her birthday on Monday. She wants a big bash.   My friend was here this weekend and told us about the party she wanted. I could not believe it. He also mentioned that he was recently contacted by his fiancee's ex boyfriend's girlfriend. She told him that his fiancée is secretly chatting with her ex. She gave him a facebook account name that she is using. On the account, every friend and family member of my friend is blocked, along with him. The top picture on the account said, "I will marry your some day." and was posted about 1 month ago, yet this was not to my friend, because he is blocked from the account. The account is several months old.   If this was the only account like that, I may think this other girl made it up. However, my friend's fiancée has another account too, and we've known about this one for quite a while now. Everyone is blocked on this account too.   So while discussing this with my friend, and telling him 14,000 pesos for a birthday is way too much since he's about to lose his job, his fiancée contacts him on Skype. He tells me she is going to be mad because he hasn't sent the money yet. I told him to stall so that we can discuss more. He sent her one message "Can't talk right now. Sorry." After that, I could not believe the things she said to him. She started going off on him, for nothing. F U this, FU that. I'm never going to talk to you again. She unfriended him and kept messaging him ####### over and over. I told him to ignore it all and do not respond. In two hours, she'll do a 180 and say she is sorry. I told him to ignore that when it happens too.   Of course, my friend cannot give up. He started talking to her again, however, she won't talk to him at my house anymore. He said he got the password for the fb account that we have known about for some time. Yep, everyone was on the blocked list. However, he says the other account is not hers, and the ex bf's gf made it up. He said he told his fiancée he was not going to send money for her bday, and she was okay with it now. He then told me he was thinking of sending 4,000 pesos instead. I told him to not send any more money and if she still comes, maybe she is legit, but I do not think so.   Last night, he contacted us and said she is mad again because he won't send the money. Man, this girl is so back and forth, I just can't believe it.   I know this post is long, so I won't keep going. I'll add to it as responses come back. What I've mentioned above is only a small piece of the last 10 months. I could keep going for a while.   Help me convince my friend that he needs to leave this girl in Manila. I filed a petition in sept and received my NOA 1 in Oct 5 . To date I have not received any further replies . How long does it take from receiving your NOA 1 to recieve your NOA 2 ? I just wish to plan ahead and give my fiance some answers --lol .I appreciate any replies . I filed in early Sept at the CSC and received NOA1 Sept 16. Since then, I have heard nothing. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VSC USCIS & NVC-Amazingly Stupid	We filed our I-129F in July 7, 2010 got our NOA1 13 and NOA2 January 12. It took them a day before the 6motnhs markto get us approved. Along the process we sent them emails and mail stating beneficiary's change of address and we got acknowledgement letter saying they receive it. But it turns out that all those F***king 6months that our case is sitting in their desk no one actually bothered to update the necessary changes? #######??? Now, our case is in NVC, I found out a couple of days ago that these idiots from USCIS didnt update my fiance's address. So again, i emailed NVC for the said info. Today i called them again and found out that still no one did the update and that our supposedly manila case number is wrong. That the first 3 letters refers to a different consulate instead of manila. im like WOW!!! these people are totally amazingly stupid! a whole bunch of ####### no brainer lazy @SS dumber! If i didnt get to call, they could have sent off our packet somewhere else instead of where it should be. Im wishing theres a way to sue these people. These are serious mistake and its very unacceptable. They have delayed us so much enough to their NONESENSE process that claims as part to protect this country from terrorism??? Coz if any of these are, they surely have F***ked up already! theyre process is SIMPLY iNCOMPETENT & STUPID!!! So you sent a letter to your local USCIS about the address change, and you received a confirmation from them that they received it? Did you ever receive a Touch on the USCIS website? Some have said that should happen. I also mailed the letter to my local USCIS and received a confirmation letter. But I never received a Touch. The date for my case still says the day they they processed my NOA1. I'm worried we might have the same problem as you. Would it be best to wait until the case gets to Manila before calling them and getting the address changed if it is not changed already? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Using Notice Date from NOA1 in Timeline	I've been wondering about this and just realized I had it wrong. I used the date I received the NOA1 in the mail for my timeline, but just read on the instructions that I was suppose to use the Notice Date shown on the paper. This is great, that's 6 days shaved off my time now. Every day counts when you're as anxious as me. We are now next in line when doing timeline search for Philippines and CSC, just above two couples that were approved yesterday with an NOA1 of 9/2. Maybe we only have one more week left to wait. I have also noticed the average number of days for NOA2 is starting to drop again for K1 through CSC according to the VJ statistics. It was as high as 157 days a week ago, then 150 days yestday, and 149 days today. Come on CSC. Don't fail me now. Does it really matter what time of the day? Since the text is automated, why does it have to be during working hours? Shouldn't it depend on when the queue is transfered by the computers so that the texts are then generated? Since it is automated, it could be any time. Yes is matters what time. I was thinking about asking the same question for CSC before reading this post. Then I would know when to quit watching my email and hoping to get approval that day. When I saw the email was from USCIS, I was so nervous; worried it would say we were getting an RFE. Then I read that we were approved. I immediately called my fiancee to tell her the news. We are so very happy. I really hope she can be here for her birthday in just over two months. I also looked on the USCIS website and saw that my case has been touched for the first time. My date moved from my NOA1 date to my NOA2 date without a single touch in 150 days. Even when sending a letter to USCIS for changing my fiancee's address and receiving a confirmation email from them, I never received a touch. Talk about keeping me in suspense. A copy of the credit card with a letter from the card holder was not good enough either. It depends on the airline. This caused them to have to reschedule the flight. What a mess. http://www.visajourn...a-flight-issue/ Also, I read another story about not using the return part of a round trip ticket, and they didn't notify the airline that they weren't going to use it. As a result, the airline manifest didn't get corrected and when they went for adjustment of status two years later, they were denied because of it. This whole original post still just bothers me on so many levels - as a woman, as a US citizen, as someone who went through this whole insane process. Granted, we've probably all said things in the heat of a moment that we wish we could take back. That said, I have a feeling no one here would stoop so low as to try and threaten our significant other with ending the visa process, no matter how heated the argument. The only smidgen of respect I have for the OP is in publicly admitting his terrible behaviour in such detail - knowingly exposing yourself to criticism for extreme stupidity takes some spine. On the other hand, Mr. Florida seems to have made his disturbing post more for the sake of soliciting sympathy for poor, pitiful him - the same guy whose first resort is to threaten to rescind the whole visa/immigration process just because his fiancee's Valentine's Day gift to him was not delivered on time and she didn't think to send him a separate card. It's all wrong in so many ways that I don't even know where to begin. I still think the ex-fiancee is the lucky one here, for getting to see how much (or, I should say, how little) Mr. Florida really regards her and their relationship *before* she has to convince a U.S. visa officer that she intends to marry this guy because she loves him and he loves her. Sad, that someone would take this process that has been so heartrending for so many here in this forum and elsewhere and use it as a threat in response to something so petty. It's beyond childish and ventures into the abusive, really, for anyone to say "because you did/did not do X, Y, or Z for me, I'm just going to stop the whole visa process, so there!" and that is partly why I find the whole situation so appalling. I cannot find it in me to blame this ex-fiancee for any part of her behavior; I admire her for doing her best to adapt to a volatile environment and then finding the courage to end her relationship with a highly manipulative person. You also seem to have some issues that you need to work on for yourself. The fact that a simple thing sent you over the edge to want to hold off on the Visa says a lot about you, just as much as her attitude says about her. I don't see anything wrong with her attitude based on the posting, just his attitude. Yes. He's got issues. I figure she was seeing clues before Valentine's day, then with his threats to stop the visa, she realized it would never work. Good for her. OP. Become a man. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Based on timeline data...	Great... it changed again. Today's guestimate is "May 2, 2011 and June 10, 2011" HA! I truly understand now, that this is just something you should not care about This date means a lot. Since it is based on statistics and standard deviations, odds are, the date will be correct the sooner you get to it. If you don't get NOA2 by this time, your outside the standard and need to do something. These dates have all pushed out as processing was slowed. You'll see the average days for approval going up or down just as your dates move since they are both based on recent data. Eventually, the USCIS will have to start making up for lost time and the dates will start going back down. They will probably start dropping at a consistant rate, maybe 1 week per month, maybe even faster. When I looked at data from previous years, this is exactly what happened. During some months, USCIS processed twice as many applicants as came in. If they do that again, your date should start moving down at a rate of 1 month per month. Wouldn't that be great? You'll have to wait and see. If your're a new filer, you can probably expect the date to keep moving down once it starts, giving you an NOA2 even sooner than it says now. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 APPROVED! NOVEMBER 2010 FILING	Thanks for all the congratulations everyone, and I of course wish the best for all of you. This site has provided a wealth of information and support. If you do look at the recent Cuba specific timelines the NOA2 does come rather quickly (ours is actually slower than most I see). It seems that the USCIS realizes that interviews in Cuba take much longer than most other countries, and allows for this with a quick NOA2 approval. Could or should we schedule the interview right after the US Interest Section in Havana recieves the approved petition given the long wait for the interview? Their website says to not even schedule the interview until everything required for Packet 3 is complete, or it could cause long delays. I'm pretty sure we won't have a problem completing everything in 7-8 months as we are very motivated, as I'm sure we all are. Does anyone see anything wrong with scheduling now? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 APPROVED! NOVEMBER 2010 FILING	I received an email notice saying our NOA2 was approved January 11, and our NOA1 date was November 15, 2010! I'm not sure how this happened so quickly, but I'm not going to ask any questions. I just hope it's not an error, and will feel good when I see it in the mailbox when I get home from Cuba tomorrow. I had finally convinced myself that it would likely take 5 months for this, and to be patient. We feel so lucky, and wish the best for the rest of you on here as well. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 Finally came - August filer	ann I dont know in the case of someone who doesnt leave in havana...i know my fiance leaves in the outside of havana and he got a telegram with instructions to pick up package..i was there and went with him to pick it up at the embassy...Beau & Digna you should not wait until packet 3 is receive there is no point to it believe me it will just delay the the appts and like i said a friend on mine made his last week and they are like scheduling for september already...Also when u get packet 3 in the main letter lets you know you know the interview date as well...so i believe is the other way around they wait for you to schedule things before sending the packet.. We did receive a message the next day after our interview was scheduled that our packet3 is now ready...coincidence??? I'm really still not sure because it was a repy to an email I'd sent 10 days earlier, and they also said their website is correct (the site say 2 months for an interview, but we are offered 8+ months???). I'd be curious to see someone willing to risk 6 months to find out if being "documentarily qualified", will get you an interview in 2 months as the website says.
