I really need to stop watching Lady Gaga videos... I've been listening to her music for the last 5 hours.
Why are her songs so addictive!?

I have to admit... I don't think I have ever had that problem, nor will I ever have that problem in the future.

My horoscope last week told me to watch a video with her and Beyoncé in it... LOL I don't remember why it told me to do that... I never ended up watching it.

The other thing to consider is, even if you do this interview and get the job, and it's legit... do you really want to work for a company that posts their ads and does their hiring like that? Just a thought.

LOL You guys are hilarious!

I want to avoid the Casey/Finnegan references (though who doesn't love Mr. Dressup!), but I think Kitty/Finnegan sounds just as cute anyway! lol Kitty would notice if we started calling her Casey... trust me :P LOL

Sam... hahaha Alora is a great name! Don't change it to 'Trouble' Tell her Sir Finnegan O'Malley says 'Hi' back ;)

And sorry Peach... gotta say 'no' to the Flutter Nutter LMAO I'm sure he'll get all sorts of fun nicknames as time goes on, and Fluffer Nutter might be one of them, but I can't imagine calling out 'Fluffer Nutter! Come here Fluffer Nutter!!'

Huggles... that's... interesting. LOL What's the job for? Is their main office somewhere else? Are they doing a group interview? That does seem odd, but I guess depending on what the job is, it might actually kinda make sense.

I'm gonna go ahead and second Sir Fluffy Buns. He looks like a Sir and also has Fluffy Buns, so you see, it matches!

But then again, I named my cat Kitty Poo so I'm probably not the right person to answer. lol

LOL I'm gonna have to go ahead and veto Sir Fluffy Buns. hahah We have another cat (who's 'adjusting'... lol) and her name is Kitty, but that kinda molded onto her because she eventually would only answer to Kitty, so I decided to just make it official. lol

Maybe we can call him Sir Finnegan.

So here's my latest update.. similar to Sam's from last week! lol We got a new cat! he's about 1-2 yrs old according to the shelter... really friendly and affectionate, loves playing with toys, loves being brushed and cuddled, and he's just really awesome!!

But he needs a name. We've been floating around a few ideas, but none seem to stick. Anyone got any suggestions? lol Currently his name is Titus, but yeah neither of us really like it. Other possibilities that seem 'favourites' so far are Finnegan and Hurley....

Here are some pics for inspiration. lol :luv:

So when you coming to Amish Country??

In other news, Varba and I went and looked at some houses yesterday and absolutely fell in love with one. It's 2400 sq feet, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath. The only downside is that there are 6 chicken coops behind the house (but also some cute goats!). The house is priced $50,000 below it's market value, and is only about a 10 minute longer drive to Varba's work.

Are you kidding?? Chicken coops and goats in the backyard would totally be a PLUS for me!!

Question....

How long do Passion Flakies last???

I have one (Still wrapped!) in the cupboard, that I can't bear to throw away, because it's my last one and I can't get anymore

I have the same issue with the one box of President's Choice Deluxe White Cheddar Mac & Cheese mix that I sent to my hubby last year. He saved it so we could eat it together, but now that I can't buy any new boxes, I have been saving it. lol Haven't found a special enough occasion to break it open yet. I know it won't go bad though, so I'm lucky. I used to eat this stuff ALOT. Like, once or twice a week, and never got sick of it. Mind you, about 20 lbs of it is still sitting on me, ifyaknowwhatImean. Sigh. It's my nemesis.

Let me tempt you all. *drool*

Yeah I know. I just don't have the patience for that I guess, nor the money (though we'd obviously get a loan anyway, but still). I rarely look into the future farther than one year. I hate the 'where do you see yourself in 5 years'. Cause I don't. Period.

My husband and I have talked for a while about starting our own business too. It's mostly been jokingly though (if you knew the business idea, you'd probably laugh too). However, with our current situation we've been thinking about it more and more and coming up with ideas that might actually work. My problem is I don't like to start small, and we'd probably have to start small. lol I get discouraged too easily, so if we're not raking in the dough in the first year, I'd probably quit. LOL Bad attitude about it, I know.

Wow... what a horrible experience!! I'm so sorry Reven. :( I think that is grounds for a complaint if you ask me! What is with these guards that think they can treat people this way!? Argh... I'm so glad he let you across at least. I really hope you don't have any problems next time. You are doing things the RIGHT way, and LEGAL way. I think it's silly to expect someone to remember the exact dates and information and conversations from over 2 years ago. So unfair. :(

A fellow Londoner!!!! HI!!!!!!!!

I plan on visiting this place next w/e. There was a big story about it on A Channel. Line ups out the door. Its right in the middle of all the bars on Richmond St., so I hope they are open late. It's going to give Prince Alberts a run for their money. Mmmmm. Prince Alberts perogies!!!!!!!!

ooohhh Yay London! Tell it I say hi! lol I miss it so. Please go visit Springbank Park for me

Smokes' location couldn't be better seriously. Sammy's will need to step up to battle them too for the bar-crowd-middle-of-the-night food (unless, they're not open late which would just be silly). I hope it's awesome! I have a few friends who have been there, and/or are dying to go. lol And it's tops on our list of places to go when we're able to go back for a visit.

Srsly though... Pics, or it didn't happen.

I just had lunch and you're making me hungry already.
I've only ever had poutine once. It wasn't that great either. Guess I should try it at an authentic place.
Never had cheese curds either.

Maybe I'm secretly not Canadian.

BLASPHEMER!!!

I took advantage in Montreal as well. Here's the hubby having a chicken poutine (YOU HEARD ME... IT WAS GLORIOUS), the night before my interview. If y'all recall, he's actually Canadian as well (dual citizen), and had been in the US for over a year and a 1/2 at that point, other than brief visits... he loves him some poutine, and really missed it. I think he cried when we ate there.

CanadaForm G-1145

Hello all;
The form G-1145, E notification. Do we put both names the Applicant and the Petitioner names. Or is it just the name and e-mail of the Petitioner? Who is the applicant, and who is the petitioner? I can't seem to get this.
Sorry for the lame question.

Marie

Can you clarify what position you're at in the immigration process? I'm confused by your time line... lol (confused about what you'd be filling out a G-1145 for now, I mean... I thought CR-1 visas were pretty much done with it when they POE'd, since you get a temp PR card right away, don't you?) You can only put one name and one email address down, so it's whomever you'd want to have receive the notifications.

CanadaEase up on phone bills to your loved one
There was a thread around here a while ago about saving money w/ phone calls and different services. I stand by my recommendation of Vonage. :) It's available in both countries and there are no long distance charges. There are different rate plans, depending on how often you think you'll use the phone. I recommend it to everyone who asks or mentions phone plans. lol

And of course, there's always Skype.

My husband did. But his card came in a few days after he started his job, so he had to wait to get paid until his employer had the number to put in the system. So his first check was delayed a week. No biggie.

CanadaMixed emotions these days...
Oh Erin... *HUGS* I'm so sorry this is happening to you all at once. I would definitely suggest taking all the time you can in Canada and spend it with your family and friends there. I know you miss Tim and your 'new home', but remember you have the rest of your life to spend there. It must have been hard to come back so early, especially for such a tragic reason, but time will fly by. I hope that you get a quick interview from Montreal. Hang in there.
