K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2009 k-1 people	I asked a very friendly customs agent months ago about it all.... as I heard different things, and he confirmed that you can travel up until you have the actual visa. Obviously it is up to the discretion of the agent each time one crosses that border, but that's what he said. He actually said he once allowed someone through even after she had her visa, but they didn't use it during that crossing. She just wanted to go down for a quick visit to put the final touches on her wedding. I just spent 3 nights with Brian in Vegas... the trip was too short, in my opinion, but I'll take whatever I can get! I got to bond with my future sister and brother in law, so that was fun! The estimated approval date keeps getting further and further away, so I'm using this time to save what money I can. I want to pay off my car before I move! I'm training in a different city for work for the next week, so I've got something to distract me for now.... Brian just reminded me that I get to see him in 10 more sleeps! So much for some quality time with my fiance during my vacation! Grrr... I was surprised how quickly my patience ran thin. Maybe if she contributed to the groceries I wouldn't have been so unimpressed with her visit. I have a few more days to enjoy here before heading home and will definitely make the most of it!!! I found this site too late... oh well we live and learn, right!! Ps Ours was $1800 We thought we needed one, because I was rejected 2 years ago (from a previous relationship) for lack of ties to Canada and we were very ignorant to this whole process.
