K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Thanks Thea, I had a talk with her this morning while she was in bed in the hospital. She was in a car accident! Of all things, taxi drivers drive crazy but you hope they don't get into accidents! She was hit in the head, on the third day in the hospital she was conscious. She has a cracked rib also. She's going home tomorrow but still will be in bed for at least a week more, I think, hopefully not too much more. Thank God, this could have been so much worse! Yeah, it could have been. It's funny, and I don't know if I'm the only one here doing this, but I'll be standing on the sidewalk ready to cross and have these horrible thoughts in my head, like: "what if that truck suddenly swerves into me? What if I just jump in front of these cars?" I also worry that something will happen to Stuart too. Man, let's all just get everyone where they're supposed to be... Thanks Thea, Andie and all for your thoughts, I've mostly been sitting on pins and needles and trying to keep my mind off this stuff, she didn't make it to the interview. Been trying to contact her with no success. Today she was able to give me a ring on this international sim card phone I keep turned on. I called back on my regular phone but couldn't get a connection but anyway it gives me hope that she is ok and I will be able to talk to her on the weekend. I tend to think she ended up in the hospital or clinic as she was rushing to the interview. I did email the embassy last monday after they told me she didn't show up for the interview, I wrote that we would have to reschedule when I could get in contact with her. I will keep you both, especially her, in my thoughts. I hope that you hear soon, and yes, rebook the interview, and keep us all posted. May you both be well, and together soon. They typically put appointments out for 3 months later, so that might mean February... This isn't what I expected when I started this process... and to have another wall thrown up now is just more than I can deal with at the moment... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	We finally had them send out packet 4 to us, and now I'm able to schedule the interview, but there aren't any available. I've been avoiding the forums because I'm afraid that they're already booking into January, still haven't checked but I'm majorly bummed out about the possibility about not spending Christmas with my husband, but instead just missing my fiance. A year ago, I thought that we'd be together at the beginning of summer... an ex wife prolonging divorce proceedings as long as possible, and our January application going missing and becoming a March application and then somehow becoming a May application didn't help things any. Congrats to all of you already past this step, and married, visa in hand and interview booked, I am very happy for you all. But I'm still not going to be hanging out here until I get that interview date, as it's just too freaking stressful guessing... A lot of the March filers left on Igor's list haven't logged on since Feb or March, some May, some June, so I wasn't including them when I said it looked like there was only 6-7 left, I was only including those that are still logging into VJ. It's possible they never will log back in, it's possible they have abandoned their petition, or they have already been approved and we will never know. Just click on them and see their last log on, and message them too, some people aren't very adept at this, and won't know even that there's a March filers group following them! By the way, NVC got my file on the 8th, not the 9th, they sent it out on the 9th! We just found out today, so I need to figure out how to track it to the consulate. I already updated my timeline, just skipped the NOA2 part because I don't know the exact date of our NOA2, still waiting for USCIS to update our case status and send us the hardcopy. I will update it as soon as I receive our NOA2. Thanks for the reminder... You can always go back and change it later, but it will help those looking to know that you're not still waiting. I'd just put in the day that you found out about it as the NOA2 date. I went and changed all kinds of dates on my timeline to see what it would do to the estimate and where it would put me on Igor's list, what with my NOA1 taking so long, so you can change it as often as you like! I'm looking on Igor's list, and so far for March filers, renecherubs has already had NOA2 but not updated, KatRaicha has already had an interview and approved, but still waiting on NOA2 according to their timeline, and tonetzky18 was denied, not sure if denied NOA2 or at interview, as they haven't updated their timeline either. The other CSC people have not been online forever, so I'd say, CSC is done for all the March filers... Unfortunately, it looks like there might still be 15 people waiting from VSC, taking out all the people that either haven't updated their timeline (Jan and Nema, lol, comeon guys!) and anyone that hasn't been on in the last month. I think it's closer to 6 or 7, as so many people haven't been on and don't post that I'll just be positive and say we are almost done! I have a question. when can I schedule a medical exam? do I have to wait to receive packet 3 or can I do it before then? It looks like your medical instructions come with packet 3, and packet 4 only contains your interview date. It's quite possible you can do your interview before you get the packet, but check with your country's portal just to be sure. Most countries let you do the packet 3 things before actually receiving it, but don't just go ahead without being sure about it! Congrats on the interview date Carolina and Matt! Wanna ask a question, I called NVC on Tuesday this week to confirm if they have sent our approved petition to the consulate, they told be they've sent it previous day which is Monday 08/08/2011, now, when should I contact Consulate for packet 3? You can track your package to the embassy if you like, if you scroll back a few pages, you will see how to do it, Max posted about it. (I'm still figuring it out so won't repost how) In any case, it doesn't take long to travel to the embassies, you should have some info in your country's portal about it. You can use the DHL link Max gave, and once your package reaches your embassy it only takes a couple of days to find out when they've sent packet 3. You can send in your packet 3 info to them as soon as they send it out, you don't need to actually wait for it to arrive in the mail. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Hello fellows! Just to inform: I got my case number Yeah...but I don't what can I do with it Blessings to all! You can use that number to track when your case gets to your embassy. If your embassy sends out a packet three, you can send in the info as soon as you know that they've sent out packet 3 to you, but you need that number to check. If you don't get packet 3, I suppose you can keep calling the embassy to see if they've set an interview for you. Here is another question! i live more than 4 places since i was 16 years of age, does that means i will have to get police clearance from those places or i should go to the police headquarter to do so? thanks everyone in advance! (stomps foot!) I really hope that we see some more action this week, for your sake and all the other Marchers! I really really really don't want to see anyone left here waiting in a few weeks, I don't want any Marchers left behind with massive RFEs or AP for any reason. As to the interview itself, that's really kinda out there, so if anyone doesnt' pass that, I hope it's only cause they really didn't deserve to, and not because of something stupid. You may have read my fiance's post about our situation... basically a disaster! We have been denied without RFE - we haven't had the letter yet so don't know the full details but probably because though we sent the initial petition with some of the supporting docs... some had been inadvertently left out(still don't know how this happened). We sent those as soon as we had the NOA1 reference # so it would hopefully connect with our original packet. Some people have had success with this. Anyway long story short it doesn't seem to have done so and my daughter ages out next month. She can't stay here in NZ on her own for any extended time so our options are very limited. Just thought I should let you know that our file has had a response but it wasn't the one we wanted. We have very few petitions from here in NZ so the embassy and medical could have been done very quickly. Now with NVC slowing up.. yes, it would have come down to days or even hours but it was possible. Anyway I'll keep looking in on you guys to see how you are doing... (it has become something of a habit). So go and show them how its done!! and I'll be looking for more approvals... What devastating news for you. I hope there's some other way you can all be together without waiting endlessly? I was posting this from the VJ wiki, it's for CR1 filers, but this part pertains as well to us as anyone for the NVC wait: At NVC / The Guide to Flying through NVC This section will help you understand timing and terms of the NVC process 1. NOA2 - Petition(s) Approved Notice(s) from USCIS. You find out from USCIS that your "Petition was Approved". If you didn’t get all the paperwork required for AOS and IV, NOW is the time. Especially PCC (Police Clearance Certificate), Birth Certificates and Tax info, as well as any other info needed for I-864. Hang on…NVC knows NOTHING about your case yet. 2. USCIS Sends Package to NVC NVC should receive your package within a few days, but it could take longer. You won't know your package is there until you call NVC (see step 4) 3. NVC Scans Package. This marries the USCIS receipt number to your newly generated NVC number. NVC case number is in the following format: EEEYYYYDDDSSS EEE = 3-digit embassy code (e.g. TKY for Tokyo Embassy.) YYYY = 4-digit year (e.g. 2008.) DDD = 3-digit day number in a year plus 500 (e.g. 28-AUG-2008 is the 241th day of the year + 500 = 741.) SSS = 3-digit sequence number of the day (e.g. second scanned document on 28-AUG-2008 is 002.) So, the second case scanned by NVC on August 28, 2008 for a beneficiary under Tokyo embassy jurisdiction will be TKY2008741002. 4. Getting your NVC number. Call NVC at 1 (603) 334-0700. Put this number on speed dial…it’s often busy, and you’ll use it a LOT. Once your package has been scanned, it COULD update into the AVR (automated voice response system). If it is uploaded to the AVR, you will be able to retrieve it with your CIS Case Receipt Number. If is scanned but not in the AVR, an operator can tell you the NVC number. Just because you have an NVC number doesn't mean you can do anything with regard to fees or applications. Do not jump the gun. Read through this entire document before sending any forms or fees. Regarding the AVR, it is NOT reliable (we've seen some cases being completed without the AVR ever updating their case). If it's been longer than 2 weeks and you still don't have your NVC case number, start sending up flares. Call NVC and talk to a supervisor. Be prepared to send them a copy of your NOA2. Once your case number has been assigned call back and speak to an operator. Give them an e-mail address for you and for your spouse. From then on NVC will e-mail you any correspondence. 5. Case info is manually loaded into system. Even though you have an NVC number, your case information still needs to be manually input before anything else can happen. Until such time that documents are fully loaded in, NVC will not generate or accept DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) via email or US Postal Mail. When your case has been manually input, the DS-3032 and AOS (Affidavit of Support) fee bills will be generated. Also, when the AOS fee bill is generated, your IIN (Invoice Identification Number) is created. Note - it may be possible that your IIN is created when your NVC number is created...THIS is the time to begin the quest for the IIN, but when requesting, ask for Invoice ID Number, not "IIN". Try hard; every second of your life…having your IIN will save you weeks in the process. Your case could be input immediately or could take weeks. It's still pretty darn hot, only a few degrees cooler and I have no air conditioner, and only a few windows open up. I plan to go find a breeze somewhere where there's lots of shade! We had a post on Facebook today, one of our March filers had their visa approved at their interview today, not sure of the VJ name, but dont' see that they've been on this thread yet to share, but awesome news!! We still have loads of you still waiting for NOA2, not sure how many haven't been on to log in and update and might have gotten it, but hopefully things keep moving steadily. I'm hoping the NVC starts to pick up, it's currently about 30 days out for CSC filers, we don't plan on even looking for it for a little while yet. Today I get a letter saying it has been sent to London, and the letter is dated the 8th. Onward! Is London still booking 4 months out? Well hopefully that blood mary recipe of yours will get you your NOA2, either that or it seems like it would make one dizzy for sure! Those frogs, are really smiley faces tapping their fingers impatiently because they're waiting waiting waiting! As to the Bloody Mary recipe, it was all the stuff I could remember as to how to undo a jinx from when I was a kid, if you have some to add to it, it couldn't hurt! Make sure it's 11:11 or 12:12 or some number like that on the time, and you should be in good with the Universe again. Also, braid your hair, or your dog's hair, it can't hurt! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Okay, to the last of us left here without NOA2, I'm going nuts knowing that it's any day now, aren't you? I'm actually wondering how late in the day they could be working, because there aren't many approvals yet today. I'm wondering if they just haven't sent them out yet, or if people just haven't gotten home yet to read their mail, email, etc, or to come online to update. I'm on here way too much now, I can't wait for NOA2, just so that I can breathe for a few days!! (then go crazy waiting for NVC, but at least we'll only be looking once a day for it!
