K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2011 Filers	walmart get together sounds fun lol. do we have like a facebook page or something for the may family I have a 2011 K1 Visa Filers page that I made when I filed the second time. It's mostly March filers, but all are welcome! We use the chat feature all the time, and also post to the wall. Know each other pretty well too! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2011 Filers	I've been to the US before, and on my first trip there, I had to go to a Sonic, and an IHOP!!! I still need to go to a Hard Rock Cafe! First restaurant I can't wait to go to though is Joe's Crab Shack, they are so awesome! We've got one right at the landing in Branson! Way better than Red Lobster which is the only thing remotely like one here in Canada. As to where, somewhere that I want to go, that I'm dying to go??? Lol, I can't wait to take Stuart to Niagra Falls, but that's here in Canada.... I think I'd really like to see the Grand Canyon... I think that's gonna be up there in my list... I also want to go to New Orleans! You also just made me think of an interesting thread for the living in america section. We're planning on driving down and hitting points of interest along the way, to see the country a little... gonna ask the locals to help us pick a route! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2011 Filers	On Igor's List... I am now at number 293 and Sabrina is at 292. It felt like I was in the 300's for the longest time! But we are getting closer... when my fiance and I started out on this visa journey we were at number 554. Awesome! Do you use the berkeley list too? It deletes all the petitions outside of normal processing time, and I think it give you a more accurate picture because of so many people that never come back to update the timeline. Then there's the chart too, let me link you both in case you haven't seen them! completeness visual link Berkeley List I was addicted to all three lists, especially as it got closer to my approval time on the timeline! I used the Berkeley list to click on names of petitioners before me on the list that hadn't gotten their approvals yet, to see if they were still active on the site, as some people haven't logged in since making their timeline. I got pretty close to my prediction for my NOA2 doing this, they beat me by 2 days! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2011 Filers	Sorry to hear that Stuart and Thea! Wow! How could they lose your file? Guess it happens! Welcome!!! We sent it in January, and waited patiently for word that they had received it. That never came, we called, and kept being told to be patient, and to wait. After two months went by we gave up being patient and resent the package again. It was a week after the cheque for the March application went in, that they tried to cash the cheque for the January application, which had been canceled. I'm really hoping for no RFE on that one, lol, though we never did get an NOA1 on it. The only reason we were so patient for the NOA1 for the second application, is because they had phoned us four days after we filed. (yeah, I know, they never lose files and they never phone people, we must be special!) Hopefully whoever's desk we're sitting on doesn't have any more plans to torture us, and we'll hear something back soon. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2011 Filers	I haven't posted in this thread before, if you can look at my timeline, you'll see that I'm a January filer, but they lost my file, so we refiled in March, so I've been posting in the March filers thread. I didn't get my NOA1 until May though, so officially, I'm in line to get my NOA2 with you guys. The March guys still consider me one of their own, but don't worry, when I get my NOA2, I'll be sure to let you guys know. I'm in CSC, and am hoping for no more unusual issues for my case. The reason I think for the long (over a month) wait for my NOA1, was because they phoned us to request that we send in some additional paperwork, and redo the paperwork we had already sent in January, because the dates were out. That original paperwork was stuff you normally send in packet 3 and bring to the embassy. We sent it anyway, and will probably have to send new ones again as it gets closer to the date. We just smile and say yessir and send them in! By the way, several of the remaining March and April filers haven't been online in a while, so we may be even closer than we think! As to the VSC filers, on the stats page, you guys have been clearing close to twice as many NOA2s a week as CSC, except so far this week, we've doubled you. I think the spread is going to close a little more than it is, even with this week being more on the csc side. Hopefully no one from USCIS decides to take a holiday in the next month! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March (2012) filers...	When you check your case status at the USCIS website you can change the last digits of the case number and it will display other people's cases. By doing this over and over hundreds of times you can find the numbers that correspond to all the I-129Fs in your general NOA1 date range. Doing it from scratch, you would have to weed through all of the other types of petitions, but fortunately, the hard part is already done! Nargie has compiled a list (that she posts in this thread regularly) which contains a lot of the I-129Fs at VSC for several days in March. By typing those numbers in periodically at the USCIS site, you can track where the movement is at any given time (i.e. what dates are getting the most attention). Hey guys, just a warning to you to not be looking up case numbers on the USCIS site that don't belong to you, it's a federal offence, we had one of ya pop into our thread and post that they checked the number before their's and it was approved. When you go on that site you are agreeing to the rules that you will only use it for information that you are entitled to have, and you don't want to be breaking any federal privacy laws by accessing sensitive material from the government that you are not allowed to access. Also, please don't check other people's numbers, it's against the law and you could get in a lot of trouble, as you agree when you use the site that you will only use it lawfully and to check information that you are allowed to check. It's funny, with all the ####### we went through in the beginning, we were one of the first here in the group to get our greencards. The whole process sucks, and while some of us are done now with it until our ROC in a few years, it still is bittersweet looking back on it, and how heartbreaking it was to be apart. The fact that you guys haven't kept up with us on the timeline, and are stalled back here so far behind, is just not right. I wish that this is it now for you both, and you get put through in a speedy manner. I know it's USCIS so that's not gonna happen, but I hope you guys can keep some more patience and get there. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Just a quick note to let you know that the tornado hit near here but not on top of us. Thankfully it landed on the strip instead of in a residential area, and we had no fatalities in town, though some homes were destroyed. It hit really close to where Stuart works, but about 10 minutes away from where we live. I checked out the damage yesterday, it's incredible, there's hotels missing walls, a brand new restaurant that is missing it's entire side, my grocery store's parking lot is a huge pile of rubble, and I think it will be a while before it reopens, if it can. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	My internet was finally taken down on Tuesday, but I went to my mom's and found that my visa was there, so picked it up. Stuart arrived Wednesday night and spent Thanksgiving with my family. We had a wonderful time, packed up the truck on Thursday, spent a lazy day Friday at Mom and Dad's, then entered the US on Saturday! I'm now in Branson with Stuart, and ready to plan the rest of the wedding, and unpack the truck and start our lives together! This is what we're all in it for guys, it feels great! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Okay, an update here. I still don`t have my visa, apparently they made a typo on my son`s. The paperwork I sent them, and the paperwork they sent me, and his passport all have the same name on them, no discrepancy. Somehow, after the visa was approved, someone typed it into the computer wrong. No timeline yet on when they will be able to fix it, and if they stamped his passport incorrectly already, I`m sure POE will not run smooth with the wrong name in it. I bet I have some official document to go along with it, or a second stamp in his passport when we finally get it. Stuart was told to call them in a week, he`s not waiting though. We finished at 10 and the answer was YES!!! I did not need any of the supporting documents that I brought along, or the extra photos, but yes, better safe than sorry! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Hahaha, yes, freaking out, I have everything ready, and am even considering packing up right now! Still have several hours left in Montreal before I sleep, and who knows how much I'll sleep??? There is nothing simple and straight forward about this process, case in point above. I just play along like a little sheep and follow directions as much as I can, what more can you do? I even have another set of passport photos to go with me, even though when you submit the packet 4 here, you can include them there (and I did) it tells you you don't need them at the interview, but then the interview checklist says you need them. I figure better be safe than sorry, and have yet another set of pictures to go with us tomorrow! I may have just wasted 45$ but oh, well, I do follow directions! I know I have gone over everything for the interview. I know that we can fulfil all their requirements. I know this. There is no possible reason for me to go to AP or get an outright no. It's my favourite holiday! I WISH I would be with Stuart for it, but we won't be together yet, so I have to wait until next year. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2011 Filers..	Thanks Thea, I had a talk with her this morning while she was in bed in the hospital. She was in a car accident! Of all things, taxi drivers drive crazy but you hope they don't get into accidents! She was hit in the head, on the third day in the hospital she was conscious. She has a cracked rib also. She's going home tomorrow but still will be in bed for at least a week more, I think, hopefully not too much more. Thank God, this could have been so much worse! Yeah, it could have been. It's funny, and I don't know if I'm the only one here doing this, but I'll be standing on the sidewalk ready to cross and have these horrible thoughts in my head, like: "what if that truck suddenly swerves into me? What if I just jump in front of these cars?" I also worry that something will happen to Stuart too. Man, let's all just get everyone where they're supposed to be...
