Internet explorer is ancient garbage? It's showing because someone messed up code, and I'm seeing it instead of a proper error message. Not a problem on my end. Happy Monday.

IE eh? Trying to pay the fee again on IE takes me to a runtime error, and on Google Chrome it works. Ready to bust skulls.

Suddenly! AOS is showing as "not paid" which isn't what it was saying up until last night. My husband checked his bank account and the $88 hasn't been withdrawn... Even though it showed as paid and I sent our package the same
night it was approved. What the fuuuuck

I just checked the "Receipts" section of the payment portal, and our AOS fee has been rejected?

Just spoke with an operator... could have been a typo, could have been an issue with the bank, could have been because he didn't use IE ( ) We'll probably end up having the same issue with our IV fee. Would I have to re-send my packages? This is stupid <_< She said that their records show it went straight from Pending to Rejected, which makes no f*cking sense since I was sent the AOS e-mail package and it showed as PAID online. I wish these people had an office I could go to to speak with someone face to face so they could get a taste of my Canadian passive aggressive rage.

Oops, missed this: CR-1/IR-1 interviews are assigned by NVC for Montreal, so you don't get to pick the date.

Balls! Thanks for your help though :P

So let's say:

March 23 - CC, assuming NVC needs a ~week to go over my packages
March 30 - Interview assigned
Middle of May - Interview time

That would be perfect, if only that's how it will play out, haha. I have a feeling the time to review both our packages will take longer than I'm guessing though.

We'll most likely have our IV payment completed on Monday after which I'll be sending my package. Our AOS package has been received but not approved yet.

Any ideas on when I can expect my CC? And the time between CC and getting my interview date? I assume my interview will be about a month from CC.

For electronic processing cases, do we select our interview dates?

Trying to figure out how much time left till I'm out of here as I need to give my job a month's warning.

Yeah, the IV package seems easier for some reason.

As for that DS-230 you have filled, don't forget to bring it to the interview! Montreal will ask for it.

Yep! I left a note for myself to make sure I have it ready to go :P

Grats! Posted Image

Is the IV package all ready to go?

Just about... have to wait for IV to invoice, then print the bar code sheet, etc etc. I have my DS-230 filled in in preparation for DS-260.

Contents:
- Bar code sheet
- Cover letter (signed by moi)
- Long form birth certificate
- Passport photos
- Police certificate
- Bio page
- Marriage certificate

I feel way more confident about this package than AOS. I have that nagging feeling I messed something up D:

Correct!

Saylin's NVC guide has great instructions for the photos. Also, I think the photos have to have been taken within the last six months, so double check that.

I have a I-864ez/tax question. My husband just paid our AOS and got last years tax transcript in the mail (2010.) he hasn't filed his 2011 taxes yet. How do we deal with that? How can we honestly say "we have filed taxes for three most recent tax years" aahahhdhsjdj

Writing on the back of photo paper with pencil is a huge challenge. Not something one would normally have to deal with.

Can I just do this in fine-tipped sharpie? With pencil it makes me look like a 6 year old on crack.

Told you it was NVC and it would change soon ;) Pay that thing asap :P

And wow Posted Image Glad mine wasn't that large. You're probably going to have to make two scans of it: one of the top, and one of the bottom, unless you can find a scanner that scans that size...

Already told my husband to get ready to pay when he gets home, haha. Unfortunately, he's five hours behind EST. About 6 hours till he's home from work

And yeah, scanning it will be interesting. Going to McGyver something.

How long is your long-form? Mine was the size of a regular paper...

More good news! Just checked my e-mail... got my NVC e-mails AND AND AND AOS is showing up online! I guess all that b.s. was just the precursor to being invoiced.

- Got my opt-in acceptance
- Ordered my immunization record which should arrive within a few days (prepping for medical, aahhh)
- Got my long form birth certificate (how the hell am I supposed to scan this massive thing)

Going to call NVC about their website problems tonight.

This is what I've been dealing with.... any technical suggestions to fix this would be helpful. I've cleared my cache, etc. Didn't do anything.

On the payment portal website, it doesn't show any of my husband's information under "Petitioner" and the box to select the fee is missing.

On the DS-261 website, the AOS shows as invoiced, but when I go to click pay...

Please to install Internet Explorer Version 8 on any machine you use to play 'whack-a-mole' back at the NVC payment portal.

Then use IE v8 on that machine.

Unfortunately, my IE is up to date. It's a garbage browser and I really wish the world would get with the times.

The website didn't work from two other computers, or two other browsers.

Just submitted my DS-261.

Payment portal is working now too. I know my AoS bill has been invoiced (gives me the option to pay on the DS-261 site) but from the regular payment portal... it doesn't show the box to select it. Not grayed out or anything, it's just nonexistent. When I click "pay" on the DS-261 site, I get a server error message

Philippinesdental work

I will be leaving for the US next week and am currently having an artificial crown being put to my 2nd molar (for free though because my aunt's a dentist lol). Yes, it is important to work on dental problems now before going to the US because the procedures there are more expensive.

It is a fact that the water in the US is fluoridated that's why people there have nicer teeth but at the end of the day it all depends on how we take care of our own teeth and genetic reasons that count.

People still drink tap water? Posted Image
