You just seen your SO Maire and he's gonna be there in a few short months. I haven't seen mine since March and before that it was almost 6 months. That was tough after seeing each other daily for over 3 years. This whole thing is bad enough on your own but even worse when you have your kids crying to you that "we miss Richie". I'm thankful that at least I can say ..."We'll see him in 25 days"

Any luck our NOA2 will come while we are there and then I can tell the kids we just need to go back to finish up stuff to live there permanently.

oh so ur SO is the one petitioning u?

I won't go so far as to say the 90 days is a trial period, but we do plan on waiting to the 60-75 day point to marry. Just in case there are some deal breaking habits either of us have. I don't believe we will, because we have been talking about these things, but yo never know. Oksana is being completely removed from her culture and while I will have to adjust to living with her it will be by far more difficult for her. Thats why we decided to use most of the 90 days. I am certainly not looking at her as a BOWFLEX, but there are going to be issues with being together for for an extended time.

ur s right...I have not spent more than 25 days living with my SO..but again it has been on "vacation" is not the same as living for good with him...i know its difficult..but I hope love its stronger than that

I am confident that our love is strong enough. We are just trying to be realistic and unfortunatley the only way for people in our situations to find out is just to do it. Although I am not worried, because lets just be honest I am PERFECT.

ur perfect!? LMAO righttttt

Are you calling my mom a liar? mad.gif

most likely I am blush.gif

Yup...he came to Canada for 3 years...now its my turn to move.

They lived together in the US for 2 years. She left for the sole purpose of going through the K1 process to get it over with so she could come back and marry and not have to worry about leaving. It's terrible!

OMG...I didn't realize they lived together for 2 years first. Wow...I can understand why the wait was getting to her so bad then. Its tough...I know. Live together as a family and then be ripped apart to go through this 'process' UGH.......after 2 years together and finally be able to get married and then break up.......WHY??? The poor girl.....

On another note...how in the world did she manage to stay in the US for 2 years? Or was he with her? I'm Canadian and we're only allowed 6 months in a year. I guess she could have been on a student or work visa...they allow longer times.

We known each other over 5 years and already lived together for over 3 years so I think we're good. lol We've been waiting a LONG time to get married so the ink might not even be dry on visa before we say I do.

I just went back to see how this conversation started......thats horrible about mini...she was so stressed out and so happy when they finally got their NOA2. Hope somebody slaps him for being such an ####. Guess its better he did it now rather then wait till she came to the US but still......sad.gif

Good luck to those who haven't been approved yet. It's coming soon!

Hello guys....I know this question may have been asked already however. Can I use the I-864EZ form? I am the only beneficiary and my husband is the only sponsor, and he is using is current salary only. I am trying to decrease my margin for error, by using a form with the least questions..lol..Thanks

If you fit the criteria, which it looks like you do, then yes :) My husband and I used it as well.

Glad you find it.Are u gonna resubmit DS-260?

Oh I don't need to. It's an invalid passport (the corner has been snipped off) that was issued in my maiden name. My current one has my married name :) I just keep the old one because first, hey you never know if you might need it, and second, it has lots of visa and U.S. entry stamps in it.

Doing my DS-260 now

"Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? "

Should I answer yes or no? Because Yes, I do have it, but the disclaimer reads: Please note that should you answer Yes to any of the following questions, you may be requested to provide documentation to support your explanation.

If I click "No" a drop down box opens up and simply says "Explain" ... so I feel like I should say "Yes", since they'll be looking at my immunization record at the medical.

Went with "Yes" since I'll be providing my history of vaccinations at a later date. All in all, DS-260 wasn't too bad. It asks for your passport number, only the latest visa you have been issued (B2 for me.) Nothing else was too weird.

However, during the process I discovered I've misplaced my passport in my maiden name, chock full of entry/visa stamps. ####.

Aw :P Flying to Hawaii takes about 13 hours when all's said and done. I travel in comfy clothes, no make-up, glasses. First lay over, I put in contacts and put my face together and then when I get to HI I race to the washroom and change my clothes, haha. - Poutine
- Spend any remaining money at Simons, and boutiques time permitting. I have to look good when I step off my plane in HI ;) haha

Fondue you can have any time at home. Poutine on the other hand always tastes better when someone else makes it.

Just got an E-mail from NVC (Subject line: Checklist Cover Letter) asking for my AOS and IV fees.... yes yes, I know. They'll be done soon NVC  I'm assuming I don't have to really respond to this in any way as it provided no instructions besides "Give your money to us."

Also a note for Saylin: I've seen this in a couple correspondences now from NVC. This was on the cover letter they provided in the Checklist e-mail mentioned above.

"Do Not use this cover sheet if you are submitting forms and/or
supporting documents by e-mail (Electronic Processing).
Instead, type your NVC case number in the subject line of the
e-mail message. Follow the directions on
www.immigrantvisas.state.gov to correctly scan and submit
forms and documents."

Should your electronic processing guide be adjusted to reflect that, as your instructions said to put the bar-coded sheets on the first page of our .PDFs. IMO it seems safer to have the bar code on there just because, but this message is pretty clear. Hmmmm.
