First of all, the current versions of all visa forms can be obtained from the Department of State website at http://travel.state....forms_1342.html From there, you must follow the link to http://evisaforms.state.gov to fill out the DS-156. You must fill out the form on the web page?when you click Continue, the web application will generate a prefilled PDF version of the form including a unique bar code containing all the information on the form. You can then print and/or save the PDF generated by the web application. The other forms (DS-156K and DS-230) can be downloaded and filled out on your own computer. The problem with the Department of State versions, as you discovered, is that they don't allow you to save the entries. I downloaded each of these forms and enabled saving. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2009 k-1 people	hi guys, i see the approvals are still on their way i called NVC today i felt stupid i told them on the last phone call if they have the visa number haha no wonder the woman said they dont i kept getting worried; i was supposed to say case number not visa number; anyway, im just sharing my confusion so none will end up making my mistake lol i thought they were the same thing hehehe oh yeah btw, i looked at the whole processing from NVC to the interview time, ive noticed that the VSC filers from my country have actually gotten interview dates faster than those from CSC so i guess it's not all unfair, we all have to wait but yes, hang in there guys, i will keep praying for my march family's approvals and for our friends who had been denied, let's pray for strength and answers	newlyweds	Male	0	2009-08-05 19:11:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2009 k-1 people	well my fiance and i are talking about keeping our options open; maybe ill just fly to Okinawa and get married there then when it comes for that time when we'll leave for US then, we'll just do DCF in okinawa; but it's still just an option for now im gonna ask for Vjers advise and all plus he will talk to their admin about how that will be for us, me changing my status when i get to japan; coz im most likely flying their on a visitor visa and for me to legally stay more than 90 days he;ll have me get a SOFA status so he'll talk to a bunch of people first; coz from this timeline who knows plus maybe we can just get married here in my country; so if the K-1 wont work out we'll do that instead or file for a K-3 by then i can just wait with him but learning of this option though made me excited lol saves us time and money lol all those air fares for both me and him flying to the US then to okinawa.. and the aos at least if we'll do the DCF we'll just file for the CR-1/IR-1 and DCF takes lesser time too.. when he and i planned on the K-1 we were so clueless and thought this was the best option.. and when he talked to someone from their admin someone told him we should just do the visitor visa in japan then get married there..but this was a few months after we filed for the K-1 though so for now we're still trying to figure that one out and of course pray for God's guidance about what to do but we wont scratch the K-1 yet	newlyweds	Male	0	2009-07-23 10:08:00

Obviously we are not privy to all that has transpired for her and with the two of you and maybe there is even things happening that you are unaware of. All that aside, give it some time and try not to burn any bridges. I remember talking with my SO early on about how brave she was for thinking about leaving everything and everyone behind to start a new life. To be honest, I am not sure I could do it. In fact, I am sure I couldn't do it. Maybe time will help things to work out between you... so I wouldn't cancel the application either. Maybe it will not work out, but you have nothing to lose by keeping the file active. Keep the communication between you two open, honest and sincere. Try to be understanding (I know, easier said than done), try to be reassuring as well. I truly wish you the best of luck in what ever you decide is best for you.
