With each reason they gave us I stood ABSOLUTELY firm and told I was NOT leaving without the visa. My husband said a couple times, maybe we should be patient and just come back tomorrow, I told him NO, they gave us an appointment for today at this time and I am NOT leaving. God gave me the boldness to stand my ground and refuse to leave. Finally they allowed us into the embassy and within 2 minutes we had the visa in our hands! Not only that the cover page on the envelope stated that the package was complete on 24 Sept at 4:30pm. I can't believe they tried to lie to me and tell me it wasn't ready!!!! I think I was a bit scary to the woman at the window on the outside of the embassy, she kept fumbling and calling different people LOL!!!! Hello WG, I am SO you stood your ground with dem folks! I am also impressed by how fast YOUR particular journey has progressed, seemingly; with out a hitch in sight. You stepped out on faith, handled yourself with truth, dignity, intelligence, grace and professionalism. You proved yourself to be a true woman who is about business when handling her personal business. Not only did you "GO GIRL !" You did "DA DAMN THANG !" That doesn?t mean love enables, covers over, or makes secret those things that should be brought to the light. (Giving ?protecting love? is being very careful and prayerful of when, where, and with whom, we share ?personal? details of our married life that need extra help and wise counsel.) To truly love our spouse is to protect them by showing honor and respect for their feelings? not revealing or doing anything that will embarrass or ?cut them down.? Since the Pledge of Allegiance & The Lords Prayer Are not allowed in Schools, anymore; Because the word 'God' is mentioned...A Kid in Ohio wrote the attached... NEW School prayer : Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom thing.. The law is specific, the law is precise.. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks... We can carry smut, but not the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
