I should probably know this, i feel a little stupid for asking.

Im filling out the form I-130 and it says for Family name for my husband. Although his last(s) names are Perez de la cruz, now would i write that on the form?

Also, Since my last name is perez, do i just put perez for my family last name? Or Perez de la cruz as well?

Didnt i tell ya? jajaja.

I'm the petitioner, would i put my name and name there? Or would i put my husbands (beneficiary)?
and for the Alien Registration number so i just put none as well? Since we do not have one?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion.
Since i am currently unemployed as of right now.
1. Can i put none on the job area on the g-325 form?
2. When i get a job, is there a way to change my occupation once its sent?
3. Also, if i cant, my mom will be my co-sponsor. Do i have to send in the Affidavit along with the I-130 packet?

I know its not listed as a necessity but i was just wondering?

I filled the paper out already and i was gonna print it but i wanted to ask first just to make sure.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavits

Affidavits are simply statements written by people with intimate knowledge of the subject. They arent required as far as I know. They are almost worthless because anyone can say anything about any subject. Doesnt mean its true or correct.
Notaries verify signatures on documents. They have nothing to do with the content. Not required nor needed. Documents must be signed in front of the notary if used.
Legal status would be citizen, LPR ect.
Doesnt hurt to include them but doesnt help either.

Since they are worthless, what else could i use to prove my marriage? Pictures, i have a copy of every page of our bank account in Dominican Republic, and of course our marriage certificate. We don't have anything other than that together, we've never rented a place together or have a phone bill together nothing. I have phone records of me calling him everyday when i had vonage. Would that work? Flight inquiries? Sorry im just nervous ill mess something up.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavits
Okay, so we are asking my husbands (the beneficiary in our case the CR1 packet I-130) parents and brother to write affidavits.

1. Can they do the Affidavits?
2. Does it need to be notorized?
3. Can it be notorized in the US even though his parents/brother live in Dominican Republic?
4. Do they need to sign it?

I read that they need to put their name, address, date of birth, and legal status( what do they mean by that? married or single?) Im now sure how to explain to them how to write an Affidavit because im not 100% sure if they need to do it a certain way, and im a person that things way to much and to hard on something, that's why i am asking.

5. Which way is recommended to write an Affidavit?
6. Can you give me an example? Are there any examples of how to write one? (other than the one on this site.. i couldn't follow along with that one.)

Please and thank you!

I need to know so i can tell them

thanks. :)

Well excuse me, you in particular, make me feel like you are being rude. but anyways, i didn't know if that would effect the fact that my husband would be living with me, not in hawaii if my cousin were to sponsor him living in hawaii..

would my husband have to be in hawaii for him to sponsor him??

Somebody told me (wont say who) that i could have two sponsors?

I forgot to ask, my grandma also gets social security every month, is that classified of income for this particular case?

Work income + social security? Is there anyway i can add that to the I-864 form? Or do i just add it with the actual irs income? (or does that already add it into the IRS? I don't know whats why im asking sorry..)

You do an I-864, grandma also does an I-864. Grandma only has to show she can support her household plus the immigrant. So if it is just her then it is two people.

What about the family friend? would he do the I-164A then?

hi everyone.

Im not at the AOS stage yet but my grandma and a family friend are going to help me co sponsor my husband to the united states, my question is, can i still live in my moms house which has 4 people including me, but 5 adding my husband we plan on living here when he comes, but would my grandma and the family friend have to make the amount for us five people in my moms house, plus themselves? a total of 7 people? They wouldnt be supporting my mom and my brother and sister, im just living here if that makes sense, or would it be better to change my address to her house which only has two people herself and the family friend? so they would only have to make the 125% for the 4 of us?

i guess my question is

would my grandma and the family friend have to make enough to support 7 people due to me living in a house with 3 other people, since she lives in a different house?

Im not sure how to make this sound like im not an idiot, but im not sure how to word it..

Also would i have to do the I-864 and would my grandma and family friend have to do the I-864A or how would that work?

Yippie! now we wait for NOA2 :)

While im waiting for the NOA2, is there anything other than reading and getting everything set up for the next part?

I was reading the NOA that i received today, and i had a few general questions about it.

1. How is Priority date differ from Notice date? Just for clarification what do both of them mean?
2. What does the preference Classification represent?

About looking at our case on the USCIS website, i put in our receipt number as stated on the website, but it says "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." Should i wait a little longer to try to look at our status or should i contact the NCSC immediately?

Thank you in advance.

So, my husband and i got approved on the 19th. Somebody told us if we wait for our 2 year anniversary date of marriage that we can convert our CR-1 to a IR-1 is that true?

Also, what happens if we just go to the united states without waiting until September? (we married on Sep. 9th 2011)

Do we have to do another interview after him being in the states for 2 years?
