thank you for telling me about it. i tested it out calling mi mami. :) and it worked perfectly. except i had to use my dominican number in my usa phone to get the code to call which is perfectly fine as long as i can call the NVC monday :)

IDK WHAT PHONE YOU HAVE BUT SINCE I BEEN LIVING HERE IN DR I DOWNLOADED VONAGE ON MY PHONE IT MAKES FREE CALLS TO THE UNITED STATES UNLIMITED MINUTES ALSO


I used to have vonage but i have to pay a monthly fee which i can not right now.
I have a cheap phone from orange from dominican republic i have an android from the USA. do you have to pay?

So i know i need to call them. but since in dominican republic, should i call them and tell them to use my phone that i have here if they need to call me? My phone from the USA doesnt work here. Should i call them and give them this number as well?

Instead of calling about our process could i contact them via email do to the cost of buying calling cards to waste 20+ minutes?

You reply to it. As long as you eventually give NVC what they want, it doesn't matter how many checklists you get. There's not some limit or anything where once you reach it they throw your case out.


That makes me feel better. I just hope we dont get another checklist. I thought it was like a RFE. (i think i said it right)

First off, you need a case complete. That's when both packages have been accepted (not just reviewed). After that, the case is put into queue for an interview date to be assigned. The time frame for this differs for every embassy. YOU will have to do your own research. You can start here for the DR: http://www.visajourn...8,210,211&cfl=0

And as long as you gave over both email addresses to an operator when the case number was assigned, then NVC will email the interview letter to you.


I knew after the case complete we'd receive the interview date, i wasnt implying we'd get it now. I was just curious on how long it would take. but thanks... ill go read

I received a checklist for 1 out of 3 of our AOS packages. It said that the amounts didn't match. Just like yours. HOWEVER they DID match. The problem for me was a poorly scanned copy of the I-864 which meant they couldn't read it well. Even though mine and my other son's were both accepted based on the exact same information, my youngest son's was sent a checklist. I resubmitted the exact same paperwork, just a cleaner copy of it, and it was accepted. Your checklist also said that it needed to be completed with blue or black ink and/or on a typewriter. What did you use when you submitted it the first time? They could be not trying very hard to read something, which seemed to be the case with me. They seem to respond very quickly by sending a checklist rather than taking the extra time to figure out. It's understand, but hard on those of us going through the process.


I used my printer. Black ink. I didnt use anything other than that. I just got everything for my packet to resend. took me 2 hours to print this morning. (printer problems+computer slowness!) So i hope that Everything i did this morning is correct and hopefully i wont see another checklist.

Use the amount that you made for that year not your return. Fill out the whole document with correct ink and provide copies of US passport of sponsors. A girl we met at the consulate had a hard time cause they requested a copy of the joint sponsors passport and she didn't have it so make sure to bring it on onterview. Good luck

Sorry... I got the checklist for the AOS...Well, on my checklist it said my joint sponsor needs "proof" of being a U.S Citizen, i sent her birth certificate, I plan on getting copies of her ID and SSC, then for me, it said i didnt use blue or black ink when i printed it off from my computer... :S then it says my section 25 of the AOS doesn't match my taxes?


somebody told me i need to send in all the W2's for the taxes that aren't transcripts if that makes sense? Is that true?

Do i need to send in the whole packet over again? I have an extra copy. Here are some pictures i took of the checklist to make it easier to explain i suppose..

Rosie and I have done her AOS AP and EAD $1010.00. As for the TIME FRAME there really isn't one.

Some getting it done in 2 months others wait a year or more. Yes, very very strange to say the least.

Rosie and I are in month 5 but we have a problem ... they don't like our age difference so they are making it
tougher on us.

Why are you sending it to Nebraska ? the K-1 application goes to California for Nebraska residents and to other locations depending on where you live.

So but Nebraska will not help for the VISA part .. and will help later with the AOS process.

Read the Guide and also read the www.uscis.org (Government)

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureswhat is best for me K1 or K3
The K-1 would be best the K-3 is for already married couples and you are not here for her arrival.

My reason is this on the K-1 Visa
First it will take about 6 months to get through the process. Filing and then her
interview in her country. that puts you into about Febuary 2010.

Next she would be granted a K-1 Visa to come to the U.S.A. and marry you.
NOTE the Visa is a ONE ENTRY Visa but is good for 6 month and does not have to be use right away.
6 months is about July 2010.

That means the time table would work for you.

also note DONT GET MARRIED IN SECRET, AND DONT LIE ABOUT ANYTHING.

Your problem is more the Forms and Documentation and the cost of Mailing these things back and fourth.

Each new step of the way and Rosie and I get a little lost (laughing)

We got all the way to Our APPLICATION getting to Manila.

Now they sent a letter to Rosie say to READ a web sight with details of
what is needed for the exam. Fine and dandy.

But I thought she was to get a Packet ...Packet 3 and packet 4 (so now I am lost)

The letter has this in it:
You are eligable to be scheduled for a Visa interview.
You may call to request an appointment date. THERE IS A FEE FOR CALLING.
You should compile all required documents and undergo a Medical exam before
your scheduled interview.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION IN THIS web sight www.manilaembassy .......

Heres my problem of hard to understand

We need to pay fees ..should we talk all the interview papers to the BDO Bank since I dont know
what they will want?
On the letter is the Visa TYPE and Case NUMBER ... is this letter all we need to get Rosie physical ?

Or do we first SETUP an INTERVIEW DATE and they send Rosie something .. with that information to take
to St.LUKE ?
Has anyone gone over and spent only two week with their WIFE 2b while she does both the exam and the
INTERVIEW .. is it hard to get both done in that time frame ?

Any help on this last and final LEG of our Journey will be helpful.

Its funny how some say to move to another FORM. Most of us only find the VISA Formus to leave messages on.
If they are going to be rude and say USE another FORM maybe they should be smart enough to also leave how to get there. Maybe they are not so smart afterall and only like to leave little tidbits.

When you say they .. you mean the Embassy or the U.S. Government?

The whole pack is kept by the U.S. Government, it just makes it's round for awhile.

First someone sends it in
Second it is passed on to the Embassy (where ever)
Third it is packed in a Brown envelope and give to the Benificiary to carry to the U.S.A (NOT PLEASE do not open)

Now it started in the U.S. and it is back in the U.S.

Then more forms are needed to Adjust Status and so on and so on.

Your right it is three and always the most current. OLD History doesn't tell the story of he being able to support you(LAUGHING).

If you have a couple of his current Pay stubs that is fine but really not needed they are looking a a yearly income to see if he is above the poverty rate.

St. Luke doesn't do the scheduling, You make the calls.

The problem of scheduling to close are many first you don't know it there will be any problems during the Exam.
The exam does take two days for sure. But if there is any problems it to take longer.

The next thing is St. Luck sends your passport and exam over to the Embassy, that is all they do.

When you make your interview appointment at the Embassy you will need to have or get your letter before you can
show up. I have not heard of anyone getting in without the LETTER from them confirming the Appointment.

Third you do know you need to take an ALL DAY class "CFO" which is really just a class to prepare you for going abroad. Everyone from the Philippines has to take it or they can not leave. I think it is just another way for the Philippine Government to make money off Filipina's one last time before they leave.
