I think you should go back to the bank with you reciept and get the FORM stamped it would end any complications in the future for you. I have not heard of that happening but clerks are clerks and can be forgetful.

In our case the clerk screwed up the Form and my wife luckily had 3 copies so she handed the clerk a fresh copy of the form and THE CLERK finished her job correctly .. the second time around.

Note: leave noting to chance .. since it is only you that will suffer the longer wait.

It is a long process and full of chances for human error .. and it's up to you two to keep it moving forward.

You can only get one (1) Cenomar and police report.
But you should always make copies and we did three (3) for our records.

For Birth Certificates we also got three (3) originals not copies.

Why because we need them for the U.S. and to be safe we did not want to try to get copies
After she was here.

Fun thing is she has the very first one .. looks like ####### but its nice to have.

We have a new safe and all of our copies of K-1, AOS paper now that she is her and important papers go into it.

She brought all her papers to the states .. education, I.D. cards, Medicine information from doctor so we could get HER NEW Doctor to give her new prescriptions.

Remember to look thought all your papers and bring everything it will be awhile before you go back.

We got ths safe online from Walmart $59.00 at walmart, and mounted it in the closet at home.
Good size for folders to fit into.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures?? About Philippine Vaccines ( Medical )
You go to St Luke and get your Exam as soon as you can ...some try and get it do the week they are to have their interview. That is very scary because what if you don't finish before the interview.

I Rosie's case I flow her to Manila and stayed a couple of days in a hotel there about 60 dollars a night about 3 blocks from St. Luke. There are lots of hotels in the area and lots of great places to eat.

Has for the HVP shot she only got one .. and then when she got here in the State we paid 200 dollars for her second. Sometime in October she will get her third and final shot.

St. Luke never gives them all, it's a plot to save money on vaccine so when the Spouse gets to the states and gets married they need to go to a CIVIL SURGEON in their area to get the rest.

REMEMEBER THEY DON'T NEED TO TAKE A NEW PHYSICAL ONLY THE SHOTS. People have been told they need the full exam ... on a K-1 or any visa that you have an exam done and is still vaild for one year. YOU DONT NEED TO TAKE A NEW PHYSICAL.

Just a reminder you need to pay the fee at the Bank (DBO) in your area of the phillippines and they stamp the I think ds-157 form that you take to the bank with you.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about marriage!
Well lets start at the beginning.

If you deside to get married in your country .. you will use a K-3 visa NOT .. a K-1 visa.
with a K-3 visa the time to get here is a little longer ..wait .. but you don't have the 90 days to have to
get married here .. since you are already married in your country.
I also don't think you have a Status change either since you would already be legally married. But would
need the EAD ... card to work until you got all your paper work done for SSNO and other things.

If you wait and file a K-1 Visa and get married when you get your K-1 fromt the U.S. Embassy there.
Then you have 90 days to decide to get married and be MARRIED at the end of the 90 days.
MOST of us get married in about 45 days and use the other 45 days doing the AOS paperwork to change
the wifes status.

SO you see by what you decide to do about getting MARRIED also decides what type of VISA you are qualified
for
K-1 getting married in the U.S.
K-3 Already married outside the U.S. in another country

No you can not marry while waiting for a K-1 Visa. Sorry, but that is what a K-1 visa is for to come to the U.S. and marry. It would void you K-1 application and you would Loose the Fees and need to start a K-3 visa application. When and if they got around to voiding your K-1.

Being Illegal is NOT A OPTION. It could bar you from the U.S.A. for 5 to 10 years.

Curious if you came to the U.S.A. why didn't you just marry and do the Status Change AOS?

HEHE as long as they let you in the U.S.A. as visitor then GOT MARRIED there is nothing ILLEGAL about that.

I you don't tell and dont know you was going to MARRY (laughing) your friend.

She does not need them for entry into the U.S. but it is best to get them there. WHY? the HVP is she is under 26 is 195 dollars a shot here in the U.S. and she needs 3 of them.

Age Gap ? what age gap ?? thats the answer to that my wife and I have 36 years, it's not a problem.

The answer to being with (how many times) 3 times in 6 months for me and I was at her interview.

It is nice to be supportive and be there for their interview even if you are not asked any questions ..
both your spouse to be as well as the Embassy knows your there.

Don't be so worried just keep staking up the Documentation and in our case they didn't even ask us
for more then we gave them for the APPLICATION k-1 visa. They asked us to choose 5 pictures and
stapled them to our interview documents.
10 days later Roise recieved her Visa Passport and I got her a ticket home.

PLEASE PLEASE when you get approved dont be NOSIE and open the FINAL PACKET they send.
It says do not OPEN right on the BROWN Envelope. You will and can be denied Entery if it is touched (OPENED).

You can start building the packet of forms (documents), pictures, taxes and evidence of relationship for you wife to be to take to her interview. Also start saving money for her physical Exam and Air21 cost to mail her .. her Visa and passport. Sorry to hear it did not work out. But it can happen in any relationship, like one person said spend more time with the next one before moving forward. I know it is though to be apart but it is also tough to be broke and broken hearted also.

I think you can only do two in 2 years then you have to do some special filings to petition again.

You only have one so your fine and when they ask why .. at least you can be honest and say it did work out.

In my case the marriage worked out .. but it has been a little like hell adjusting. But LOVE HER DEARLY.

We are to individuals working always to be together as one.

Your or her in this case SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER is yours for life and a New one will not be issued.

Put her Social Security Number on all forms. It would also be good to type out a letter explaining that she
recieved on while she was going to school here and the Date (about) when she got it.

NOTE when she and her new husband get her here ... marry ... She will have to have her husband Adjust her status
it is AOS as well as a AP (advance parol) for traveling outside the country incase she would need to go to Canada before the 2 years of temporary (conditional) green card was over. and a EAD for employement.

WHEN SHE GETS HER EAD CARD then she would take that Card and her Social Security Card to the SSN OFFICE
to get a new card and her NAME CHANGED. At that time they will check with DHS (department of Homeland Security)
and clear her Card of NO EMPLOYEMENT.

You can start doing her interview forms NOT her AOS hehehehehe!!!

The DS-156 and the Ds-156k and the DS-157 and get ready for her to have to pay for the interview.
She will have to go to a DBO Bank and pay for it and get them to stamp her DS-157 or DS-156 PAID in FULL.

See the guide on USICS site to see what forms are rquired.
They will also not send a PACKET 3 to you but in the letter they will say what they require.

Photos for sure also .. (still Laughing) I gave Rosie enough money to get about 2 dozen photos like our Passport photos.
By the time we did all the stuff there and she brought them to the U.S.A. us use 6 for the AOS here after we was married.

I forgot the cost but there are two things to save your money for her Fee for EXAM at ST LUKE in Manila and the INTERVIEW in Manila.

If she is not in Manila then you will also have plane fee to save for ....

Oh and read up on the Day long class she has to take in Manila or Cebu before she can leave the Philippines, all Filipinas have to have the class and a stamp on their Visa from the place where she take it.

I have heard of some people taking the class and keeping their reciept then going back to get it stamped after they pass. To me I had Rosie wait for two reasons ..she didn't have a Reciept to loose (HAHA) and second after the clasee was done she got it stamped and I knew it was done.

There is no sure timeframe .. for K-1 from start to Manila for interview about 4 months ... BUT NOTHING is for sure.

I always told Rosie they are just giving us more time to share our words and when it is time we will share the touchy touchy stuff.

You know the relationship with someone takes on new meaning when what you share are in words. It for me was a time of sending pictures .. dreams .. and the memories we built over the 3 time I was in the philippines.

Sounds interesting ... I use me Visa card as a way to do money transactions. As long as I call my Visa office to tell them it is being used overseas .. everything goes well ... otherwise they think it has been misused.

As For the TAXES, Don't mention it, Don't think of it. If he was owed money thats a plus but best to leave that

If it was 2 or 3 years I would say see his old employer and Send in an AMENDED TAX for that year and pay the Penalty.

But in his case, WING it and hope that it is true they owed him.

Well where do we start.

Yes, he needs his Social Security Card, once one is issued to someone that is their number for LIFE.

He had to fill out tax forms and should have kept them for 5 years ?? Does he know where they are ??

HHHuuummm next question or two (laughing)

1) Can he get and E-visa to visit then go to the SOCIAL SECURITY office and have them look him up ?
They won't do it online or over the phone .. only in person and he has to have I.D. Passport and another
picture I.D.
2) Have him think think and think if he has anything online or on his computer that may have it.

The other choice is to not mark anything in that spot and hope he is approved for the K-1 Visa and when he
gets here he can go to the Social Securty office. Problem is then you will have to say it is your mistake not his
that you didn't know he had a Social Securty Card OR .. he will be in trouble and could face Deportation for not
answering the questions Honestly.

If you say you filled them out mistakes can be correct. TOUCHY though you have to be smart and remember it is
and was always your fault thinking he didn't have one until he tells you differently when he got here.

NOT GOOD but thought I would share some thoughts on the subject.

The UK can come here on a visitor Visa very easily... to me that is the best way. The Cost is tough but it would be the best.

(LAUGHING) for us that had someone half way around the world the cost from the U.K. to the U.S. would be a blessing.
Mine is from the philippines and have been the 4 times in a year. COST 1200 to 2700 round trip as well as the cost of staying there.

Please if I say something a little wrong don't take it personal PLEASE.

First your from Arkansas and there is a Mexican Consulate there that can help you with dealing with other
Latinos in Mexico and their Consulates there.

Second I think you wrote this wrong and you are talking about an American Embassy in Mexico, if I am not wrong.
Because you go to the U.S. side of the LINE to be interviewed to get a Visa to the U.S. and not a Mexican Consulate.

Then there is Why would you as an American think you would receive the PACKET #3 ? Really the Packets go to the one coming to the U.S. and not the U.S. person requesting.

As for the Packets it does take a long time .. in the Philippine they did away with the Packets and you just go ONLINE and get all the PACKET Information .. it is so much easier. I am sorry that you or Mexico still uses the PACKETS.

Anyway I hope this helps or if not PLEASE write more in Detail about your/two situation so we can understand better.

Remember you have a Mexican Consulate in Arkansas to help you also if you spouse to be can't get the information out of them in Mexico. But I still think you are talking U.S. Embassy which is a whole different story. You can call the number found on www.uscis.org and see what happens for the U.S. side of things

The answer to your first few questions is yes, your next step is to call the NVC starting in about 2 weeks. Hi everyone i just had a few questions.

i was wondering, (i received my no2 today 1.18.13)after our case gets sent to the NVC do i or my husband wait for something in the mail? I read we have to call for our case number is that correct? and we have to give them our emails, can i just do that for the both of us or does my husband have to call as well to give them his email address? I read i should wait about 2 weeks after receiving the NO2 to call the NVC asking for the case numbers, what if they don't have the case number after two weeks of waiting to receive it? Ill be using a joint sponsor to help bring my husband here due to being unemployed and being a full time college student. How do i go about that? that is the AOS part right? Do i need 6 pay stubs and three years back irs forms from myself and my joint sponsor? Will both myself and joint sponsor have to fill out the i-846 (i believe its called that)?

The invoice ID # is used in conjunction with your case number to log into this website to pay the AOS and IV fees online. Once you pay the fees, like ndu26 said, you will be able to print out the official bar code pages. You can't send the packages until you submit the payment for the fees anyway.

Both the 3032 and the IV packet are for the beneficiaries information. The 3032 just says who will be sending the info, also the IV fee won't be billed until the accept the 3032.

you get the cover sheet when you ur AOS and IV bill payments.
the link for creating barcode was made for when DS 3032 had to be by snail mail. now NVc accepts email as long as you follow the template suggested here. even if you still snail mail the Ds 3032, just write ur case # on a strip on paper and GLUE on the form
you need Invoice number to log in and make payments on the payment portal.

yes both forms are for the beneficiary but can be submited bythe petitioner once made an agent of choice.

you email the 3032 from beneficiarys email account though.


So being the petitioner do i need to send off the AOS part before my husband does these forms? or do we do them at the same time? Also, when sending it via email, is it faster rather than snail mail? They said the same thing to me today. they told me to "call back in a few weeks" her exact words im like well can you be more specific she said in about 20 days im like have you received our case yet? they said yes on the 23rd its not in our system though im like ohh okay. i hung up and said ill call back tomorrow lol. but releasing its Saturday tomorrow i doubt that will happen, because isnt the NVC closed on the weekends?

Order 2010, 2011, 2012. If you are submitting the transcripts you do not need to worry about getting w-2s, 1040 or anything like that all you need are the transcripts. I-864 only asks for tax transcripts/return.

IRS Tax information (photocopy or IRS Tax Return Transcript) - 1 year is required, up to 3 years may help.
So would I order 2010, 2011 and 2012?
Tax Return Transcripts, optional but may help. The I-864 form requires a "Tax Return Transcript" and not a "Tax Account Transcript." The transcripts can be order for free by one of the following methods:
Fill out the form 4506-T and mail it to IRS
Or request the transcripts on the phone by calling IRS at 1 (800) 829-1040.
Or request the transcript online at IRS - Order a transcript. The information you need to order the transcript online includes: Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Street Address and Zip / Postal Code.
I ordered them offline do I still have to fill the 4506-T out?
W-2s and/or 1099s (are these required? if so where can i obtain these?)
1040 from most recent tax year (are these required? wouldn't that be the 2012 1040? --confused)
Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do) (Im unemployed is it okay with my co-sponsors pay stubs?)
Employment letter showing your income and position. (How can my co-sponsor get one of these? Does she just simply ask her boss or manager?)
Make sure that position/title is consistent on all forms. (on all forms from her job? Or all forms with her job and the I-864 as well?)


Another thing, my co-sponsor gets social security checks thats part of her income how do we add that into her I-864 form?
