So to everyone who is still waiting for their NOA2's....I hope you have read this:

http://www.visajourn...t-on-july-13th/

I was hasty in my reading when I noticed that the $400 went down to $355  . I failed to see that the other fee associated with the IV bill (before it was $355 visa fee plus $45 security fee =ing $400) has gone from $45 to $74. That means instead of paying $400, the new few is $404. :bonk:

As for the AOS fee, it goes from $70 to $88. :bonk:

How lame!

Tom- I wasn't trying to say that we have the same scale as various other countries at all. I have been subject to both systems and prefer ours. At least when they tell you here that you have to pay $20, $20 is all you need instead of $20 plus "whatever I feel the other fee will be today to maybe do what I am telling you I will do."

I agree with your last statement Tom, if that were the case in our society you would be ahead of me for sure. The majority (if not every single one of you) would've been ahead of me :P. Luckily, I have some luck on my side up here.

Looks like we got busy (my child made me type busty hahahaha) here in a short amount of time.

pkliberty- You should wait about a week and call the NVC 1-603-334-0700 and see if they have your case number. If they do, speak to an operator and update them with your e-mail addresses. At that time, you could also ask them with address they have on file and correct it if needed or ask them what they would like you to do to correct it.

As for the K3, this visa is basically no longer available. You would've needed to file an I-129F earlier on in the process. If you would've they probably would've dropped this and made it into an CR1 anyway :P.

Where is your husband now? Honduras? or the US? If he is in the US, he will have to leave and go back to Honduras to go to the interview there at the US Embassy since you didn't file for an Adjustment of Status. If he is in Honduras, he is fine. Your question about him entering illegally...when did this happen? Before any other answers can be given out, we need to know where he is and if he has already entered illegally.

Other than that, good luck with everything!

Tom- We here in the US do give bribes sometimes but it just isn't as open as in other countries. I don't think that you should have to bribe someone to get a fair result especially when you aren't cheating on anything but it can be beneficial if you have screwed up and need some "assistance".

Awww TheJesal, I didn't know July 15th is your anniversary! I should've told USCIS July 14th instead. Good luck though seriously with getting a nice anny present.

Kapad,

I sent you a PM with the info that you need. :):

When I read this I thought, "What? When did he get approved? OMG?! Did I miss it? Did I forget? Oh, I feel bad!!!!" But I just checked the March group...how awesome!!!! Big congrats!!!!!!

I received an e-mail from USCIS when my NOA2 was approved. I don't have a cell phone so no text message :P. It seems to be that less and less people are getting an e-mail or text message to find out that they received their NOA2. A hard copy send my mail will be sent to you soon so that is really the only thing you need. :).

To reach the NVC, you have to call 1-603-334-0700. They are busy allllllll of the time so the redial button will become your new friend :P. The NVC will ask you for your USCIS case number (now and every time that you call) and then the AVR (the recorded voice) will tell you if they have your case or not. It should take 7-10 days for them to have a case number ready for you. Of course you can always call and check before that if you want.

How exciting!!!! I hope you can have all of your stuff ready to go so that you can make it through as quickly as possible.

If I can read properly, it looks like all of you got lucky!!!! The IV fee just dropped to $330 from $355! Less money to pay. I want a refund!!!!

It will drop as of July 13th.

Tom, be nice to the fish. Don't tell them all about your USCIS troubles or they might decide not to stay around for much longer. Also, don't take the fish kayaking with you. I hope you have a great weekend despite the awesome hours you will be spending fish sitting!

C'mon more good news from everyone!

kruz- Have you tried asking people who are at the interview stage already and from India what it is that they did? That e-mail that you posted is the "IV Instructions Packet" which everyone receives so I don't know if that is what you need or not. Sorry we can't be of more help since there are several of you guys in the same boat.

KdRjN- I hope you hear the long overdue good news really soon!

There is the Mr. Positive that I met a few months ago! :). Welcome back! :P.

At least if everyone has to wait for their snail mail version of the NOA2, it will cut the time off of the wait for your case number (not really but it will seem that way because you don't have to wait the full week after getting the e-mail).

Is everyone prepared for NVC? (execpt for the unfortunate PCC situation in India) :(.

The Jesal and Tena- How nice that you will get to spend some time with your loved ones! Hopefully USCIS will surprise you Tena and give you good news before you head back up here.

The Jesal-I hope you can get some good news before you go there and be able to be almost done by the time you get back if not bringing her home with you. Don't forget to have the house all nice if you do get to bring her back! :).

Congrats Jess&Daniel!!!! How awesome for you!!!! I guess one good thing of not knowing until now, is that you don't have to wait as long to get your case number. :P That must've been nice to share the good news with your husband in person. I hope you can fly through the NVC stage (although that has seemed to slow down a bit as well).

Welcome Ravens. Hopefully USCIS will pick back up and give you good news soon!

I think that they approve the K1's because they receive more money for that. They pay now, they pay at the interview, they pay 90 days from being here, and on one person's time line, I saw ROC. That is more money than we have to shell out. I agree that married people's petitions should be approved first for many reasons but it doesn't pay them very much.

I hope we can get some good news before this week is up!

6 days is better than nothing. Especially if you are already at the NVC stage and just waiting for your documents to clear. Then you will go there and come back and she will have her interview the next month or so. Then it will only be 2 months of wait instead of 6. Sounds good to me!

Sorry Tom, your team is no longer in the running. But cheer up, you should have an NOA2 within the next 3 months :P.

Looks like everyone took a snooze break for the holiday weekend at USCIS. I don't want to have to wait until Monday to hear 10 good newsessssssss this week. I will for sure wait though.

Is anyone besides John going to see their spouse relatively soon?

John dear- I love your confidence. :) I was asking where the good news was hiding itself :P. But hey, if the good news is hiding in your work and housework, you better get that house in tip top shape pronto!!!!

Pru,

The cases have seemed to slow down a bit over at NVC :(. They should be getting your case number soon. I would talk to the customer service just to make sure. Some times the AVR isn't very accurate. Good luck with that.

Tom- Germany is having a great time so far. How about someone who doesn't make it as much to the finals like Netherlands? My prediction were spot on until the 2 power houses in SA lost...*shock* Now I just want the refs to do their job and stop mkaing every country mad. At least the don't just pick on one place and screw everyone over just the same, right? :P

I feel like I am going to throw up and my chest hurts. Today makes 1 year since the last time I saw my husband. That is the longest I have ever gone without seeing him and until now I have held it all in and not cried a tear. I really need to cry but I can't cry around my child. Maybe I will wait until she is alseep and weep into my pillow. I really hope I get good news from the possible AOSer and then good news from my husband next week.

Yeah. I do sleep some times. Not very well. I think I have slept only 1 full night since July of 2008. I was catching up with an old acquaintance last night and decided to stop by here. :). I'm paying for it now though because my daughter decided to get up at 7 instead of 8. :(. It is a start of another week. Too bad we won't much until Wednesday. Hopefully USCIS will be nice and give out lots of NOA2's because the fireworks melted their hearts.

Tom, you are a strong willed man is all. Nothing wrong with that! I don't know how he would react if I told him some other guy told him to act right :P. Thanks though.

Just wondering, how many of you get asked, "Oh, what is he/she doing over there?" when you tell them your spouse is in a foreign land? I can't stand that question. My answer is, "He was born there." I think they are expecting some romantic, "He is studying there abroad for a term," or something. Idk!

As for my husband, he didn't get online but karma pushed him down some stairs instead (literally, as he was coming back from where he shouldn't have been in the first place because he was supposed to be online with me, he fell down some stairs and hurt his knee).  He did say that he will get online tomorrow and bring his passport. Tom- Did she hand fill out the DS230 or type it? Did she send you the page that she signed? If she typed it all and you have the signed page, you could just fill in those missing pages and print those out. Hopefully that is the case and you don't have to type it all up and forge her signature or have her send those pages again. Yes, I know we all want out of the insane asylum. At leas the voices we hear are those from real people and not just fictitious ones in our head.

As for my husband getting online this morning...he didn't :bonk:. Maybe tonight...
