There is a new NOA2 posted on Igor's list but no link to their info...:(. Hopefully that means that USCIS is still working on cases and not asleep for the duration of June.

I'd shoot for mid July for the end of March people. It is long but still better than 6 months from the end of March or....September.

Thanks Tom. I know it wouldn't be the end of the world. nope, it has nothing to do with the AOS. Although that has yet to be resolved as well. I think we might have a solution for the new problem. Hopefully it will be resolved. I don't care about the place we will be, just as long as I can know where it is! For the past few years it has been "Come here, go there, come here, go there" back and forth. I'd just like an answer.

Totosan- I would say the best thing to do after celebrating your approval would be to go check out this:

http://www.visajourn...he_NVC_ShortCut

You can check it out beforehand too, but all of the info magically changes (not really but it sure seems like it) after your NOA2. So...other than that...do you have all of the certificates you will need for NVC?

Another good thing to do...share the news with us!!!!!!!!!!! :).

20 miles sound radical to me Tom!

Update: I have called NVC since I received my NOA2 (just in case). Over the weekend the AVR told me no case on file bla blah (which I expected). This morning I called and an operator answered. She told me to wait 15 days from the NOA2 receipt date. HAHAHAHAHA. Funny lady!!!! Why couldn't the AVR just have received my call instead? At least the AVR doesn't make you feel like an idiot. :). Needless to say, I will call back again tomorrow!

Chris&Cecil...the time lines go off of people updating their time lines :P. That time line will keep jumping up and down all the way until you get your NOA2. I wouldn't worry about it too much. There is no one to "call" about fixing them. Hopefully you guys will hear something within this month.

If the majority of us wind up in the same NVC and interview groups...we will make those pages go from 15 to 1000005. Some of us (mainly myself and John) as chatty and I think it helps to relieve the stress a bit. You all have to come with me to June NVC so that we can chat out every step of the way!!!

S&ET- You expedited your case, didn't you? Of course you can hang out with us. I see that you should be getting a SIF here this coming week or so. Lucky you!

Totosan- Thanks for including more people. I think Tena was finally able to go to Jamaica. Wouldn't it be nice to come home to an NOA2?

I'm hoping that this week will bring happiness to many of my fellow Marchers. Going in order from finish line to starting NVC: S&ET's SIF to Sweetcheeksss being able to ship off some DS230 and I-864 packages and getting closer to her SIF to my case number and of course....several NOA2's...just given out like they were free candy!

C'mon good news MONDAY!

Ah, the silly posts we made back in the day :P. Well, ok...sooo...I know that based of NOA1's:
FLPilot should be coming up as well as
divina24, March2010, and Totosan.
I think Jess&Daniel aren't far behind either.

I feel like I'm forgetting some people. Sorry, I just don't have everyone's time lines memorized.

I know that the March filers list of large but hardly anyone has joined us in our lovely group. I had started the March topic on March 4th but then JuneFirst started this topic in this spot and no one saw my post. Since then, JuneFirst has disappeared and I haven't been quiet. :P. Hopefully some of the other Marchers will join us. If not, maybe we will see them around the NVC group soon. if it makes you all feel any better, I am waiting just like you are (just for a different thing). I will most likely be behind everyone else once they get to the NVC spot anyway. I'm glad that I have a week until they assign a case number. I will need it.

I think I should have a case number by June 11th so then I will send off the DS3032 e-mail format found on here, to my husband and then have him e-mail it. I could do it but if they check the IP address, they will know it isn't from Peru :P. I will however, be hacking :D into his e-mail to see what their response is and check some other things for evidence of our relationship.

I will make sure and post the e-mail that "my husband" sends out. I have it all ready to go, I just need the rest of the case number.

Huh, ok. All I had ever read on here was that if you marry somewhere else and try and marry here, it doesn't count because you are already legally married somewhere else. Hopefully, the information is accurate and mine is not. It looks like you should be all set to go then. Your wait should be short for the NOA2.

Ok Marchers....this week is over (unless some one gets lucky and gets their NOA2 tonight). Here's to a good week next week.

My husband has to reach out to them first. Then I will reach out to them. I have never even talked to this person before. Yikes! Good thing I don't have to re-translate everything. Maybe none of it...or only some of it will be translated. I hope it works.

Man do I ever love my husband! Which is how it is supposed to be :). He just suggested some one else (besides the last person I want to ask). Hopefully that one will work. I don't know why I just became happy. There is a grand possibility that that won't work either :S. *Sigh. I wish I could show him that I am really appreciative of his love for us (besides working on the papers :P).

Great!!!! I just called my AOSer to see if they got my 30 page packet and not yet. The 1st thing she told me was, "Just in case, please find some one else because it isn't 100%. If there is some one else closer to you, please ask them instead. But I will let you know when I get the packet." Biscuits!!!!! This was the 2nd worry of mine in this long process. The other 2 haven't come along yet. *Sigh.

I look at it this way, all the times that I was in Peru, I let him be in charge and tell me what was ok and not ok to do (within reason). This irked me some times but since he is the native there, I let him have his say. I told him, however, that when he is here, he will be playing by my rules! We can both look at this as a transition of power :P. He (of course) will always have a say but since I'm supposed to know more about how things work here, he gets to take the back seat for a while.

Divina- Did you do a civil ceremony in Honduras or a religious ceremony? If you did a civil ceremony there, you couldn't legal marry again, because if you get married anywhere in the world legally, it is valid in the U.S. This will cause you problems later on down the road if the USCIS doesn't catch it now. I'm not trying to freak you out or anything. I only want to help you. As far as people who filed after you getting their NOA2, don't worry about it. USCIS doesn't always go in order. 2 people were approved ahead of me and had NOA1 dates later than mine. You should be hearing something from them soon.

Tom- Yeah...I hear ya. But, I have tried to explain the process and it just goes over his head. I suppose if he took the time to get online and look at the steps, he would maybe understand some more. The process is hard to explain to anyone. People ask me what I'm doing next and when I get to about the 3rd step, they tune out. For me, it almost works better if he doesn't know all of the specifics of the process and just goes along with what I tell him. Someone who just brought their husband (who is from my husband's neighborhood in Peru) tried explaining the process to my husband in March...apparently to no avail. I'm not mad at him for not understanding. If some one would've told me all of the steps and intricacies of this whole process (before I had started), i probably would've told them there was no way I would ever be able to do all of that! Luckily I have VJ and you guys to help me out!

I told him he needs to get me those documents I told him about. See.. we are already behind. Luckily NVC gives you a week before they assign a case number. :).

Divina, both John and I posted in your Feb/March filers about how to put the time line in your signature. Please go check it out. Some one said on VJ that the middle name isn't required (they were told that by a USCIS worker). I went through a long ordeal with USCIS over missing names and it didn't prove to be of any use. I think that as along as your NOA2 has the correct name. Maybe just call USCIS and check and see if all of the names that are in your passport are there....you should be good. It is almost too lat to change it now...since you should be hearing some good news from USCIS soon.

No prob. Like other people have done when they needed to buy more time, you can always sit on paying a bill or sending out a packet for a little while.

TheJesal- I think you have cracked up  . The $404 is for the next part of NVC not for USCIS. Has nothing to do with the wait time for NVC fees. If it did, they probably would've made more people wait to pay the increased fees.

Tomorrow will be a great day, RIGHT USCIS?

C'mon good news!!!!!!!

So to everyone who is still waiting for their NOA2's....I hope you have read this:

http://www.visajourn...t-on-july-13th/

I was hasty in my reading when I noticed that the $400 went down to $355  . I failed to see that the other fee associated with the IV bill (before it was $355 visa fee plus $45 security fee =ing $400) has gone from $45 to $74. That means instead of paying $400, the new few is $404. :bonk:

As for the AOS fee, it goes from $70 to $88. :bonk:

How lame!
