I met my husband online :). We met each other on a site called Spanglish chat. I think he started talking to me and then the rest is history. That was back in 2005 when I was 17. I told him I'd meet him in person in 2010 (I was 17 and didn't think he was for real...not many internet boyfriends when you are in your teens pan out). I went and met him in 2007 though. We now have an almost 14 month old daughter. I guess he was for real after all. :).

I think if you don't submit the PCC that you will get a RFE at NVC. It seems like it would just be easier to wiat for the ok to get the PCC. I know other VJers from India could help you out better than I can.

I'm sorry to hear that about your husband. Hopefully it will all turn out alright. I've never been to Florida (except to the airport in Fort Lauderdale). Did you mean we could tell about how we meet our current spouses?

-I-864 [6] completed & signed by petitioner which is the Main Sponser I will submit this
-IRS Tax information - 1 year is required, up to 3 years may help. I will submit 3 years
-Tax Transcripts, optional but may help. Call the IRS to get it FREE! 1 (800) 829-1040
W-2s and/or 1099s I will submit this-1040 from most recent tax year (2009)
-Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do)
-Employment letter showing your income and position. Make sure that position/title is consistent on all forms. I will submit this
Co-Sponsor in same HouseHold: I-864A and all Tax information as above (might be doing this)
-Co-Sponser NOT in same HouseHold: I-864 and all Tax information as above (might be doing this one)The petitioner must ALWAYS submit an I-864....even if there's zero income.
NOTE: Even something as simple as Painter on one form, and Painting on another, could trigger an RFE (Request for Evidence)
-Assets may be used to supplement income (such as bank accounts, equity in a home, but when an automobile is used, the first car may not be used...only 2nd, 3rd, etc)
-Assets of Petitioner are calculated at 1/3rd value. If the Petitioner has $30,000.00 USD in a bank account, they will be given $10,000.00 USD credit toward income requirement.
-Assets of Beneficiary or Sponsor are calculated at 1/5th value. If the Beneficiary has $50,000.00 USD in a bank account, they will be given $10,000.00 USD credit toward income requirement.
-Assets may be used to entirely satisfy the income requirement, but you will still be required to submit the Petitioner's most recent tax return.

Of course...all of these things will be submitted after the first parts of NVC are over:
-Calling to get your case number to be able to put in the top right hand corner of all of the documents and forms you are submitting
-The DS3032 being submitted either by e-mail (by the benficiary) or snail mail or both.

I'm sure there are other things to add....give me some feedback please.

For Peru, I won't be getting a PCC (Passport office clearance). The passport not being expired within 6 months still apllies as does the getting a certificate from places lived at for longer than 6 months since turning 16.

No. Yes. Yes, don't look at the time line. Although some of us already don't. I look because I'm bored and it gives me something to do. So no one took me up on the "where I'm from" idea. Next!!!!! Ok Tena13, since John hasn't given any ideas and you have been more frequent on here, idea for what we can do to pass the time (instead of ripping our hairs out).

If I knew where everyone lived...not stalker like but pen pal like...I could give us all assignments for sharing something about your state or your little corner of the U.S. Such as: good places to eat in your town and main attractions...stuff like that. I live in Omaha, NE. I haven't lived here forever so I don't know a whole ton about the place. I haven't eaten at many places there that aren't chains found all over the country...so no help there. I also haven't seen much of the city. I do know that the zoo here is supposed to be super awesome (I have been several times but always with little kids so never have been able to see the whole thing). Also the downtown has some draws. I know there has to be something else about here...but I didn't come here for the city. I came here for different reasons.

Does anyone have a definitive POE yet? I know it is so far off but maybe some of this group's SO's have been in the US before and have a preference. Mine has not. So, I know his POE will be where ever is cheapest. :) Luckily there are some nice POE reviews on here to help out with that decision.

It sounds like we all need to take a trip to visit Tom and go kayaking. Something to get our minds off of crummy time line guesses that just make us mad and USCIS time lines that break our patience. We need something to get us back to the original "I can't wait for my NOA1!!!!" giddiness that wracked our brains. If all of us get bent out of shape in the USCIS stage...the NVC stage will eat us alive. USCIS is nothing compared to NVC. We need some hope! No one took Tom up on his suggestion of NVC checklist. Any other ideas of what to do to pass the time? Any one interested in playing a game? Or setting time goals? Like little things we could get done or do within a week and track other ppl's progress (non-visa related). Lame! I can hear you screaming at the screen :P.

I think (based on my last touch being May 13th....unless they just decided to buen the file b/c I have called so many times) that my 3rd NOA1 should be sitting in my mailbox today.

I meant burn not buen. :P.

Hopefully little fairies will come into our lifes and make us have interviews before the year is up. It is aggrevating to think that I could be done already and him here. The reason why I say this is because we procrastinated for months on end...but we could be done already! Grr!!! Oh well. All I know is that we (my daughter and I) will be spending X-Mas with my husband come hell or high water (not really those...please stay away from me hell and high water).

There have been 3 March ppl approved so far. 1 of them was an expedited case though...so that doesn't count. I think I should have my 3rd NOA1 sitting in the mail box for me today. So based on the new 6 months we are supposed to wait before going bananas on USCIS, what are people's guesses for their interview month? I think (based on those "standard" time) that my interview will be November possibly December based on holidays.

What John...why?!?!?!?!?! Why did you change it John? Why?!!?!?!?!?!?!? I know it wasn't you who changed it. Apoparently we are in it for the long haul. Back to 6 months instead of 5. So now I have to wait until September 1st (my husband's b-day) to call and let them know that it is past due for an approval. *Sigh.

Hammer...you might be the biggest age difference but Tom hasn't let us know how long it will be before his wife turns 59.

So the majority who have responded are in the same 10 years age span... the time line is on VJ at the top where it says, "Immigration Time lines". Then you go to view you time line and then once at your page, scroll to the bottom and it was give you an estimate.

You are funny TomD. Too much sun I think. It sounds like a great system. I don't want to go first. Don't make me go first. I will gladly comment on other people's items that they are submitting. Although...I think we will all get the picture of what is to be included after the 1st one or two. The same basic info for everyone (plus or minus some country differences).

The May interview group has a FB page apparently and plan to meet up in Vegas. That seems like dedication to me :P. I find it funny that there are adds on VJ for "plenty of fish in the sea". Isn't the main point that you have someone already that you are bringing here? I know there are other visas types on here as well...but I still find it funny. I wonder if anyone has left their spouse b/c they fell for someone on VJ.

Correct TomD. The March Group. The weird thing is that we are here in the inital stage but some of us will get split up or sent in with other members during the NVC stage due to when we are able to get all of our papers together. It seems like the NVC groups are more united than USCIS groups and then the Interview groups are the most united. I hope you have fun kayaking Tom.
