IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVJ Timeline
Yep, the time line has moved again. I would get things as ready as possible so that if your NOA2 does happen to come sooner (June) rather than later (September). Good luck on your country's documents. Maybe try checking out the US Embassy website for Bangladesh and see what it says about where to obtain the documents needed.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow on earth did this happen :(
Congrats on the SIF. It is much harder to find something when you are searching frantically. Just take a breather and then look some more. Like Indigo said, if you didn't take it out of the house, it has to be there somewhere. Did you make copies of the British passport visa pages?

That is very interesting. Why they would let me sit here and go through this for almost 3 months now but they took all of 1/2 of a day to tell you not to worry (maybe because I bugged them so much....they decided to simplify the process), beats me. Hopefully they will get on with yours and John's cases. My case on the other hand, was missing our last names as well...not just middle names.

I wish you the best of luck!!!!!!! My NOA1 was incorrect when I received it on March 4th. I have yet to get a corrected version. They left off some of my names (The USC) and my husband's names (foreign So). Hopefully you won't get stuck like I have been.

The check is $355. You make the check out to Department of Homeland Security. I made mine out to USCIS and they still took it.

Here is a good link to go check out.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAnother SSN? CR-1 to IR1
I think for the SSN card, you can go to your local office and fill out a form to get a new one. You should call the 1-800 number just to be sure.

Sorry you had a bad POE experience.

I'm not sure about the technicality of the CR1.

Good luck with every thing.

I-797C = NOA1.

Have fun playing the waiting game. Now is the time to brush up on your NVC knowledge and get things in order so that when you get the highly anticipated NOA2, you can be all set to go through the NVC quickly. Have a good journey!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresInternational Travel allowed with CR-1 Visa?
You are allowed to travel as soon as they put the stamp in your passport. I think they give you a hard time if you leave for a long time. There are time limits on how long you can be gone for.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHelp Please
I would call USCIS and see if the case number works for you. It should work online as well. Most people have been able to access their info from the 1st day that they received their NOA1.

Good luck!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresmissing documents.
Did you send in the check already? If you did, there is no point to send the other documents now. They could get lost because they weren't all sent in at once. The RFE for the documents would be your best bet for right now.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I have read this time and again on here.

Good luck!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIncorrect payment I-130, and correct submission for Texas
You send it to the Chicago Lockbox that says it is for Texas. Then your case will most likely either be sent to California or to Vermont. It just depends on how busy those two places are. As for the fee, I don't know personally but I have seen that they will send it right back before the NOA1 if there is something wrong. They might issue you an something like an RFE (Request for Further Evidence) for your payment. The NOA1 usually takes about 10 days to get. Usually it is risky to send out another thing to the USCIS without them requesting it first, since it is seperate from your original submission and they have no idea what it is going to without having a receipt number (NOA1) to put it with.

Best of luck!

Some one will probably come along and correct me if any of the above information is incorrect. I'm just speaking from what I have read on the VJ site.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPassport type photo for I-130
So, you can't see the red pen underneath it? Well, it would only take you an hour to get some new photos right? Apposed to waiting 3 months and getting an RFE for new photos and then having to wait some more. If you are the non USC, this might be better for you to do. If you are the USC, they don't care as much about your mistakes since the petition is for the foreigner.

Is it legible? Does the pen bleed through the front? If it is legible, you should be ok, as long as the pen didn't bleed through to the front.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresOh! Come On! Where are the NOA2's?
SimAsh, did you find yourself on there? You are number 82. I think it pulls data from people who have input data into their VJ time lines. This is why it is important to keep you VJ time line updated, so that this data is accurate. There are plenty of people who are still "waiting" for their NOA2 but have actually passed their interview or are at the NVC stage. That obviously skews the data.

Yeah, the people who answer the phones at USCIS are just reading a script for the most part. In order to get some real answers, you have to speak to an immigration officer. I see your NOA1 is March 5th. You should be hearing something from them soon, as long as they don't fall asleep again.

Go to the Immigration Timelines at the top of the screen. On the right hand side, there is something that says Processing Times: Igor's list. Then just make sure you change what you are looking at to CR1 from I-129F and then the I-130 and California and all of that good stuff.

http://www.visajourn...he_NVC_ShortCut

This is a good guide to read. You have to relax first in order to get through it. I tried reading it this morning and at first it was a bit too much to handle.

As for how long it will take....I would go see some recent time lines for an estimate. It just all depends on if you don't get any RFE's along the way.

You will be fine. Just take some time to relax and good luck with everything!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedureshow much more after the end of i864 and sending ds230?
You have to wait for the NVC completes your case (maybe a few weeks) and then assigns an interview. You can contact the Embassy after your interview has been scheduled and see if they can move the date up. Some times it works and some times it doesn't. I would look at other people's time lines to get a rough estimate of how much longer it will take to get an interview.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPossible I864 Problem ;( and 230 question
In regards to your DS230 question, no you don't need to wait for them to send you something. That could delay you for weeks on end. Have a read please: http://www.visajourn...he_NVC_ShortCut

About your I-864, does your co-sponsor make more than the 125% poverty guideline for their household plus your foreign SO? That link also has the address to send the forms to.

I didn't send originals with the I-130 and got approved. The originals go to NVC (as stated above). You will be happy that you waited to send the originals to the NVC, because then you have everything closer to ready to go.

All of the things sent to NVC are supposed to be sent to the Embassy. If they don't return them at the end of the interview (and after you ask them to do so)....well, I suppose you have to get new ones.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 and I-864a package - is this OK?
Yes, the Household member has to prove their citizenship or LPR status. I would also include the last 3 years for your household member. That way they can't tell you that they are missing and make you wait longer for your visa. I would also include a recent appraisal for the land. One is needed for a home but the same will probably go for the land. Better to cover all bases then to be handed a RFE.

-Sorry, just saw the "and her mother" for the last 3 years of taxes.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit of support form (Form I-864) and other forms
If you click on the links you will see what all you need to fill out and how to do and all of that good stuff. If he makes the 125% guideline then you should be fine. He doesn't include his partens unless he wants them to be sponsors as well.

As for where you live vs. where to send you documents.....since there are various steps....you will be sending to different places depending on what step you are on.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAffidavit of support form (Form I-864) and other forms
As for the I-864, he only needs to include his parents if they are going to be sponsor's for you as well. If so, they will need to fill out I-864A and he needs to fill out his own I-864 for being your sponsor. There is a section to include the foreign spouse's income but depending on how much you made, it might not be worth mentioning. All of this will become more clear after reading the instructions for everything.
