There should be a provision for certain groups of people getting a CR1 such as families with children. That one sucks as well. (Venting myself). I know that the estimates are just estimates an I don't expect to get an NOA2 until August 1st or after so I'm good. Some people on here have more luck than others.

Everyone should check their time lines! Mine yesterday said, "May 14th to June 15th". As of right now (2 minutes ago), my time line says, "May 13th to June 12th". Good luck everyone!

Anyone have predictions of what order we will go in? For example :
The 1st five to get NOA 2's will be:
1. The Jesal
2. johndoe12
3. TomD
4. JuneFirst
5. Someone else like posters who haven't been active here lately.

Also, I wonder how many of you guys will get an interview date the same day for the same country. I think I am alone for my country so no one we can meet up with.

Yeah, he gets to stress out over other things. Not knowing the process and worrying about it might be worse than knowing and stressing. At least you know what to stress over.

My husband is lax about it. Maybe because he has no idea what is going on.

Thanks. Everyone in March will be different. I saw today that another March NOA1 person got their NOA2. They filed after me and I didn't notice an expidited request on their time line...so....I don't know. It would be nice if it was in order but it doesn't seem to be.

If the time lines would quit jumping all over the place, that would be nice. I'm along the same feeling as Greg in waiting until it gets here (suspecting it will be August due to 5 month wait rules) and if it gets here before August, be super happy and worried at the same time (my own addition there). Waiting is hard but it once the whole process (and getting your SO onto your home turf) is done, it will be worth it and a great relief.

I'm pretty sure I have all of you beat for the last time I saw my husband. July 6th (so going on 10 months. That is also the last time that he saw our baby girl in person (who was almost 3 1/2 months when we left...is now 13 months. Not to discredit anyone else's waiting time but a month is not suppppeeeeer long in the grand scheme of things. I have no chance of seeing him either before he steps foot on my turf this time. :(. Waiting does suck for sure.

The touches have no correlation to when you check your case staus. If that were true, they would have to put a touch for every day of the almost 2 months since I received my NOA1.

Here is a helpful link about touches: http://www.visajourn...dex.php/Touched

To have your time line show when you post something, you have to put it in your "signature". Go into your profile and edit the profile. Then find "change signature" and enter your time line there.

Good luck to everyone. If all of the people who filed in March would post their NOA1's and respective time lines, I think we might have a better idea of when we "should" get NOA2's. As for me, my NOA1 date is March 1st, and as of today, my time line says May 14th to June 17th. What about everyone else?

To answer your question, that is for a different type of visa. Here's to speedy processing times for all (as speedy as you want them to be).

If they approved in a logical chronological order, I would be first. That doesn't seem to be the case though. I will def let the rest of the March ppls know!

For a NOA1 from March1st.... my estimated NOA2 is May 5th to May 30th. That is a ton different than August!!!!!

Now you should get prepared for the NVC stage. Fill out the DS230 and get all of the templates from the guides that you can. Find out how long it will take to get all of the police certificates that you will need. Stuff like that.

I think that the wait for the NOA1 is the worst because at least with the NOA2, you know that you have to wait 5 months or so. I was really impatient for my NOA1 as well because many time lines had people getting their NOA1 within a week. As you can see in my time line, it took me longer to get the NOA1 than a week. At least the wait from your check or money order being cashed and getting the actual NOA1 is a few days that you don't have to worry about checking your USCIS account every 5 minutes. Also, the time lines on VJ keep going down for a possible NOA2. I remember when I had first input my NOA1 the NOA expected date was the end of May until the middle of June but now it is the middle of May to the beginning of June. Of course, there is no guarantee on those time lines but they are a nice hope based on everyone else's speedy approvals.

Good luck to everyone else in March!

If line 22 of your 1040 shows less than the required amount for the 125% poverty guidelines for your household, looks as if you will need a co-sponsor or to add some assets to your proof of income.

What is the final verdict?

Say your Schedule C says: $10 million but...

Your line 22 says $50

does that mean you can't sponsor then?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWoo hoo! Talked to a case worker

So did you tell her to move her *ss along and approve it?

Uhhh...no, I didn't.

Congratulations! It must be exciting to hear from a real person about your case & not just get email updates.

I hope the process goes quick for you, buena suerte!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWoo hoo! Talked to a case worker
 So...this probably means nothing but I talked to my case worker today. Not because of anything really. They had messed up some of the names on my form and so I had to call them and have them fix it. Well she had a question about it so she called me today. I asked if she was the person assigned to my case and she said yes. She then (on her own) said she would look to see if everything was ok, since (in her words) "she could" ( ). She gave it a quick glance and told me that she saw my marriage license then asked if I had an English translation and I said yes. She said that it wasn't attached (but it was) and then she saw that too (no need to argue when you get a chance to talk to the person in charge of your case). She then saw a birth certificate and thought that it was my husband's but I told her it was for our daughter. She asked if she (our daughter) was born here and I said no. She then asked if I had a petition for her and I said no (b/c she is a US citizen) so we went around about that for a second and then she said that is good that I got her registered at the Embassy or I would've had to file a petition for her. She then said it all looked ok and then told me she would send the new NOA1 in the mail soon.

I know that doesn't mean much nor does it guarantee a quick NOA2 but it was awesome for those few minutes to talk to the person reviewing my case. Hopefully she "likes" me and will be nice and give us a shot for an interview in the next coming 6 months.

Good luck to everyone out there who is still waiting for their petitions!

Thanks so much, I will tell my wife not to worry about legalizing the documents. You are right, sometimes these people that work as clerks give you false information.

Thank you once again.

Thanks for the heads up! I know this will save headaches all around for cases to come! Good luck and let me know how everything goes for you "fdespoux".

You could probably attach a sheet explaining why there are so many entries. Just attach separate sheets of paper for the extra space that you need (as well on write the explanation on your extra sheet of paper).

Hahaaahaaha! That was a CR1 filers that I started. Then "June 1st" came along and made a new one. That has some posts on it. I never saw a K1 March thread though.

Do you mean NOA1? NOA2 is the approval of your visa petition. NOA1 is what is sent saying that they received your petition.

Thank you Darnell. I am waiting to see if I get a response before I call and ask for a supervisor. Do you know of anyone writing an e-mail to CSC and it being successful (post 2006)?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCSC E-mail
I called USCIS yesterday regarding my lack of a correct NOA1. The operator told me to e-mail my case information to an e-mail and if it didn't get a response after 21 days to e-mail the second address that he gave me. I tried it today and the first e-mail address was incorrect so I e-mailed the second e-mail. My friend is wondering of there is something wrong with this. Is there? Does anyone know? I read some posts from 2006 about CSC e-mail addresses but those might be outdated. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNewbie with some questions
As long as the US recognizes dual citizenship with the DR, you should be fine. My daughter was born in Peru and is both Peruvian (b/c of being born there and her dad being Peruvian) and USC (b/c I'm a USC). The CRBA isn't very hard to do all all. Seems scarier than it really is.

They say optinal on all of the forms but some people get RFE's is there is any doubt that your income isn't at the 125% level. I second JohnDoe12, send in the last 3 years. NO need to get an RFE and tack on time.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 forms in a different language
The choice of agent comes at the NVC stage, after your petition for an immigrant visa is approved. Ad for the I-130, you can fill it out for your spouse obviously letting them know what all of the information is that you are putting down. Or have them fill it out as you translate the question/what they are asking for to them.) The I-130 isn't offered in a different language. Everything has to be filled out in English (except where they ask for the foreigner's name in their native language if they don't use the Roman alphabet #20). You can fill out Part F. at the bottom of the petition.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVJ Timeline
Yep, the time line has moved again. I would get things as ready as possible so that if your NOA2 does happen to come sooner (June) rather than later (September). Good luck on your country's documents. Maybe try checking out the US Embassy website for Bangladesh and see what it says about where to obtain the documents needed.
